I'm happy to have discovered this: Vladimir Horowitz playing Mozart, this utterly beautiful concerto. Earlier I've listened to him playing Schubert's Impromptu No. 3 - the very best version of all. And earlier I've thought that, among pianists, Paul Badura-Skoda was the best interpreter of Mozart. But - it's impossible to say who, of these high-ranked musicians, is the best.
@@marioduparc4097That's right - but I listen to the greatest - and there are the loveliest choices. When it comes to violinists, I have no difficulty in choosing: David Oistrakh, King of Violinists, Greatest of the Greats of all time...
@@kaumekaem6213 I see - I well understand Leonid Kogan - but Jasha Heifetz.....??? What do you see in him? Sorry, but I can't even LIKE his interpretations - when he plays Sibelius violin concerto, there is nothing left of Sibelius - only Jasha (his very beautiful tone is not enough to make the music meaningful and true). PLEASE - don't be offended - I might be wrong - it's just a matter of PERSONAL taste. However, the fact remains that David is THE KING - also the great Yehudi Menuhin is of that opinion - he has said that David Oistrakh is serious and honest in his playing, and that he would have liked to study for Oistrakh, would it have been possible.
Again ads in the midle of a concert. They are something deplorable and despicable.A disrespect to te composer, the soloist and the rest of musicians.Hopefully some day it will be corrected for considering to the audiences too.
