    As his father I think I was more thrilled than Tiger to see him play you in Paris. He really enjoyed playing the game with you and this game will be very much remembered by him as he works every day to be a better player.

      Congratulations. We all wish for our children to be special. We never know how when why etc they will be geniuses or athletes or prodigious of any kind. I still find it fascinating just to observe but to have it happen must feel like the best blessing in your life. How’d you know he was a prodigy? I’m sure that’s an interesting story

    Right I gotta be honest, I’ve always thought that Dina was a bit too much aggressive with some players she faced, but yes I know that was like her signature, her distinctive mark, but watching her being so gentle and sweet with that child seriously melts my heart. Such a sweet person

      Everyone other reply has trained this kid at some point in his toddlerhood... No wonder he's such a already 1500!
      At this rate by the time he's of age, the whole chess world would have had round with him and he'll be competing with Alpha Zero at 204394038i4013401....

      @@v4v819 I trained Tiger for 30 minutes when he was 3 weeks old. It might not seem like much, but relatively speaking, 30 minutes is like a year to a 3 week old. Don't bother to do the math. It's correct.

    I was never a huge fan of Dina, but I’ll be honest, this video made me completely reassess, I love the way she teaches the kid instead of bowling over him and uses her own time to nurture his instincts. I bet she’s an incredible coach.

    Dina is too kind for coaching the kid about mirror moves. But I guess kindness is the hope for future kindness. The kid was great, he just needed to learn more mistakes in chess, but he really has time because he is 7 years old.

    Actually it's a WGM, a very different thing from a GM. The WGM title you get at 2300 FIDE rating for women, the same rating where you can get a regular FM title. The IM title is at 2400 and the real GM title at 2500.

      @@cazorla82 I did not mean on that.They all will be much stronger then Magnus.And 10+ years consistent with top rating many achieved in their time.Chess now is not the same game,they all much stronger,so no dominance anymore.Magnus quit real chess,he just want blitz and rapid :) And standard that he is playing,that is like 15 same players 10 years,if he go on open tournaments he will be soon 2700 and then 2600 and after 45 bye bye,2500,2400 down,down,down.Ofc he will quit like Kasparov,he is not so stupid :)

      ​@@dejan7bg The amazing feat is that Carlsen just dominated for 10+ years when every chess player had computer assistance lol. Now he has nothing to prove as he just won Fide World Cup last year. He quit his title because there is no one that can dominate him atm. Vishy is 54 and he still is 2700+ lol. Carlsen will be the same unless he plans to retire early. You are so wrong that he will soon be 2600, 2500 lol. It will take at least another decade for him to drop to that level and that is if he keeps playing lmaoo.

    Desperado is when a lost piece takes a pawn on the way out, like when that trapped knight grabbed a pawn and he said “desperado.” I guess the Russian chess folks don’t call it that. Dina misunderstood him and she was actually referring to mirror play saying that it’s losing because he will always play second.
