I know the paint was a real head scratcher. But besides the paint I have no real issue with the craft I love it. The transport is amazing, wish I had more troopers to put in it haha. Thank you for watching as always my friend.
I heard that the uneven engines were a safety feature on the action fleet version to stop people from standing it straight up on the ground and someone falling on it and impaling themselves, so this is a carryover from that. I'm not sure why you would sacrifice accuracy for the sake of a one in a million event, but I expect nothing less from this crazy world we live in

Didn’t expect Action Fleet to come back! The line has become very sought after over the years, and it’s been the hardest line for me to collect. The second I saw videos on it before Star Wars Celebration I’ve been into getting these but the main ones for me are the Outland TIE Fighter and the Imperial Troop Transport because it was originally from Kenner.
Excellent review! Been finding a bunch of these at Targets and a few at Walmart. Action Fleet was my favorite SW toy line as a kid so I’ve been waiting for these to hit shelves ever since they were announced! Hopefully they keep it going longer than most of their other small vehicle lines.
This is a very cool toy ship, got mine in the mail a week ago. As a collector of Star Wars toy ships, this line is a must buy for me, have the millennium falcon on preorder, Amazon had it on sale for prime day so got it for 10 bucks off. Can’t wait til I can get a tie fighter. If jazwares can make a republic gunship I’d be so happy
Thats an awesome buy with the prime day deal. Yea I fully agree. I may sound negative with this piece at times but I'm just being truthful. I really do love it. I order the Falcon, Vaders TIE, Jedi starfihhter, and the Razor Crest. I already have the troop Transport and that looks great. I have a feeling republic ships will come in time.
This x wing although smaller than the action fleet is the way the x wing should look the action fleet body is not acurate I built enough models of the x wing and tie fighter this company nailed these beautifully.

Great review Dave! I really like the R2 gimmick, reminds me of a similar gimmick on the action fleet Naboo Starfighter. Pity it has no display stand like the old Action fleets did. I would very much love to see a repainted version of this of Hera's X-wing from Rebels. If I recall, the Action fleet X-wings had that same engine arrangement.
@@ThePointsofArticulation I read from a designer of the Action Fleet that company policy was to make the engines uneven so a kid wouldn't stand it on it's tail and somebody impale themselves on the toy. So with Jazwares is it a design nod or the same policy?
Thanks for the mention Dave! I definitely have my issues with this specific ship as we've discussed, such as the engines, warped wings and lacking paint in the figs, but I am absolutely happy with this ship, the mold for the fuselage is definitely an improvement on the strange bulbous fuselage of the Action fleet one, and I think the landing gear forms better with the body of the X-Wing and is more pleasing to look at when folded It seems that most of the reason the downsides stick out so much is that this line has to compare directly with Action Fleet, which is a hard act to follow. Super excited to see the rest of the line in the future! (Love Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike as well!)
In such a small scale they got this and the tie fighter dead on action fleet was good for the time but these are very accurate in shape just look at the action fleet x wing fuselage its bloated lol and the bent guns on the hot wheels elite no thanks give me these any day
These things are so great. I unfortunately never got to experience the Action Fleet line when it was around, but the MGS line really plays well for me as much as Micro Machines, especially as I've been collecting another toy line of a similar scale: Snap Ships. Sticking Luke into the cockpit of a Sabre or Klik in the X-Wing is amusing and a neat little bonus from the two. Hope to get the TIE Fighter next.
I have a pretty complete collection of action fleet ... So I was able to compare ... There were a few things I do like about action fleet over micro galaxy.. though there are things about micro galaxy I like over action fleet .. though I do like like the scale of the different vehicles of micro galaxy over action fleet .. ok just curious about the later series ... Though if they ever release a star destroyer that was a large size .. just shut up and take my money lol.
Hi felix I took a quick look at the X-win from a New Hope screen models+ on screen a the main thrusters are even. Toy companies make them uneven to avoid a harmful situation. Apparently if the thrusters are even they can stand up and become a stabbing weapon.... my lord lol.

The scale is not true, the Falcon, AT-ST, Tie Fighter are not scaled right. But they are still very nice.

The thrusters not being even is accurate the bottom one's are always shorter
