Even if I've been on the lam for 10 years and went to a 2 year drug rehab in Florida and got married, and kept my nose clean. I was on probation for 1 month and missed my appointment because of me being on drugs and then went to Florida to get clean and not die from the drugs.

Hi I'm on probation a yr in harrisburg pa for 2 dui's. I recently got a warrant for 3rd degree felony property damage from an incident back in August. What kind of consequences am I looking at? I'm not a bad person, I just make bad decisions in the eye of the law. Please help!

A lot has to do with who your judge is. Some judges are more reasonable then others. I was violated for not having my community service done, and got it finished up before going to court for my gag hearing. My judge didn’t care, said I didn’t have it done in time, and sent me directly to jail. Even the sheriff was shaking his head and talking to me as he took me to the bullpen to wait for transport to the county jail. The guy before me violated his with another charge and was sentenced to attend outpatient and sent home. I lost my job, and also a weekend of camping with my daughters. True story. You never know what the judge is going to do. Ever.

When you violated how low where you in jail. Were you allowed to bail out once in custody?

@@nanrussell3919 I was not allowed to bail out. I was supposed to sit in jail until my gag hearing was rescheduled and I had to go back in front of the judge. I spent almost two weeks locked up until the warden released me due to the covid concerns. This all happened right before the lockdowns. I would have been in there a lot longer if not for that.

@@nanrussell3919 I wasn’t in jail when I went to the first gag hearing. I was working and doing what I needed to do to fulfill the requirements of my probation. When I went back to the gag2 hearing, with everything completed, that is when he had his hissy fit. I was scheduled to work later that day, and obviously didn’t make it. They let me go, and I missed the weekend I had planned with my kids.

@@madturtle8826 My situation is I was charged with a DUI while awaiting trial I was placed on informal probation which I had to report to a probation officer and go to meeting. Well one time my lawyer appeared for me in court so after court I didn't check in with my probation officer. The probation officer recommended that I be place back in jail due to me not checking in. So the next time I went to court the judge told me about this and told me to go check into probation and we will figure it out later. So I checked in to my probation but 2 hours later because I had to pick up my daughter. The judge issues me a warrant and said I had a failure to appear. I have a court date next week. I nervous they will throw me in jail for violating my probation by not reporting right away. I called my probation officer and he was like you are no longer on probation because you violated with your failure to appear. Mine you this is the only legal trouble I have ever been in un my life. I'm terrified of going to jail.3😭😭

@@nanrussell3919 What was your original charge for? Was it also a DUI?
As far as probation goes, it sucks. Most of the probation officers are overloaded with cases, miserable, and nasty. The most important thing is that if they call you, you better get in there. They don’t care about what is going on in your life. And don’t always take them at their word. If they say say they won’t violate you if you wait a day, I wouldn’t risk it. I’ve heard of PO’s doing that and then violating you anyways and saying they never said that. It absolutely happens.
Chances are good that you won’t go to jail if your not a habitual offender, but you really never know. The judge can do whatever they want once you get up in front of them.
