Kevin MacLeod. The guy is incredible! For creepy mood music, check out Come Play With Me.
Thank you
The three people relaxing on a ship at 6.18 remind us of a time when the ocean liners of those days had nothing much for travellers to do on the boats other than lay on deck chairs, play shuffleboard and the like. Totally different to the huge floating amusement parks of todays cruise ships
I enjoyed this so much! Thank you😊
Yesterday Today Tribute oh good! Can’t wait!😄
@@YesterdayTodayTribute - Where's the Descriptions you usually add?
Great old pictures loved them.
*Like a Window into the Past. A Glimpse of a Bygone Era. Makes me Feel Pangs of Nostalgia.*
1:46 Young fella sure has a beautiful shiny Pontiac!
The photo of the carved rock creatures at 7:13 was taken at Desert View Tower, which is located at the top of the mountains on old US 80, around 7 miles East of Jacumba, California. The carved rocks are still there. It's a fun place to explore!
Thanks for these. I got out of school DEC 1956, I recognise all the cars , I came to USA ,in 1959 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This back when America was America!
What does that mean? America has always been America.
@@im4run It means that people were more civil to each other. We were on the top with manufacturing. Our country is loaded with empty, decaying factories, (Detroit for example) Our education system has us way down the list in rating of other countries. Our bridges, highways are falling apart. I love our country. It saddens me to see what is going on with our government. I can go on, but I bet you get the picture by now.
@@adammiller2246 And who would you blame?
@@im4run Was not blaming anyone, but that is a good question. What would be your idea of an answer?
@@adammiller2246 I don't blame anyone. I just see today as being different, not bad or good. That's really what makes people feel nostalgic for the past. As time marches on and things change, people want things to be how it used to be.
We've had very uncivil periods in our history. I don't think we're any more uncivil than we have been in the past.
Economies change. Manufacturing is becoming more and more robotic. We were an agricultural based economy when we started. Times change and so do the types of jobs we have. My grandfather worked in manufacturing, but today I work in IT.
People have complained about the government forever, but ultimately, if we vote for our leaders, then we are responsible for the ineffectiveness of our government.
Too often the people who tell me how great things were back in the day, only recall the good things, the bad stuff kind of gets shoved to the back.
The lady in the red dress at 10:48 would look totally modern even in 2022.
Great pictures but you should always indicate location, always. And exact year if possible. Otherwise the reader cannot fully appreciate it.
Born in 1952,the best of times!
Have you any pictures of Ireland during the time I'm from there and i would very much appreciate it if you could show them.
According to the CPI inflation calculator, that $.75 car wash in 1955 should only cost $8.81 today
at 2:36,the picture of the fire engine. Is there a wreck between 2 cars in the background??
FIAT 600 in the background. 3:24
0:57 Hey, look, a Shadow of the Colossus reference half a century too early. 😂
thumbs down. want to know where each picture is.
What about pictures of all the people whose lives weren't quite what we see in this video.
Yes, like my family in Mississippi and Georgia who were part of the poor folks and farmers.
That would be another video.
Why don’t you make a video about them instead of complaining Yesterday-Today didn’t.
@@sdcoinshooter Because Baba Booey beat me to it.
Macker Maldrill Baba Booey?... maybe you could look over a channel’s other content instead of being so hasty to complain.
I quit at 1:30 and thumbs down.
TOO MANY REPEATS, TOO MANY PARKED CARS!! SHEEEESH
can you do any better?
Sue - That’s kind of the idea.
