Commentator really said “the crowd will tell the story” in the 9th inning of a game at like 1 am between two teams that play nowhere near where they’re playing.
@@datn1ggaa.698 that’s a line usually reserved for big moments with a one sided crowd, there’s like maybe 50 people there and it’s probably split down the middle on whos a fan of who.
That zone sucked for the hitter. The pitcher got the outside call and down, both by a good ball and a half. You can give one bit both? That said, ole miss capitalized on this. And kudos to them. I thought the Arizona pitchers either didn’t use that or the pitchers put into the game didn’t have a reliable pitch for that call. Old granny miss for sure picked pitchers that had that pitch in their repertoire and they executed. I mean ol’ miss pitched that down and out spot perfectly. It wasn’t a strike but the call was there all night and they played it perfectly. Well now we have another chance to watch these two teams. This seems like a nice rivalry and I like the two teams. This might be the best matched regional. Arizona fan here and knocking Miami out was beautiful. There is history there too. They really didn’t think well of Miami setting them Up this way. They got the hard draw and the weather put a wrench in everything.
Umpire had a big zone but both catchers put on a framing clinic
Home plate umpire was absolutely brutal
It will forever be remembered in Oxford that THIS was the moment they let the Rebels get hot!

there’s still fans so your comment makes no sense

I was at this game actually and despite the conditions it was actually a decent crowd. It was probably 75% Ole Miss fans.
That Taco hat, stop it.
Both Catchers did a great job adjusting to the umpires zone

@@bobcat1933 both catchers behind the plate are a couple of the best in NCAA D1 rn. I wouldn’t doubt it went across their mind.
