Yeah, upward cat eyeliner does no favors for my almond eyes. It makes me look evil and isn't flattering. I think puppy liner and straight/slight curved is the way to go for me
Definitely a yay for me. I plan on trying this myself.. I was watching Euphoria and I was noticing that most of the girls on there have hooded eyes and they are using this straight eyeliner technique. I mean heck if they can do it I can do it! Lol looks good on you.❤
I think it's too broad to say following a part of your eye works better for a group of people. When I want to try an eye look I use a photo editing app with a double exposure/overlay option to see where their look actually falls on my eye. There's too many factors like angles and deep set and lid shape etc. to be super prescriptive.
Of course! You’re absolutely right. Making broad assumptions is how harmful stereotypes come about. BUT. This is me just taking part in fun internet culture things. Which is why I made this video to “test this claim” since my eyes are different from the original creator! 👀✨The original video made me pay attention and motivated me to try the straight eyeliner… and gave me a chance to just take part in something fun 💖
They are not pointing to the bear angle. You need to relax your forehead and look straight ahead when you’re drawing eyeliners. So you can see the exact placement.
There’s an Aussie comedian who did her eye liner and ever since then I can’t stop laughing at people who get anything to show up coz I can only imagine how massive the layer behind it must be
Thank you [at]jigglyjulia on TikTok for the makeup inspo! 💖 I’ve obviously been living under a rock and spent my last 7 years or so doing my makeup the usual “wanna be Hepburn” way 😂

It would be better to say ‘Straight eyeliner looks better on certain or different eye shape.’
Fyi.

What’s the brand product of the smudge proof eyeliner
Wet n Wild H20 Proof Liquid Liner
Nope. For me. Not all asian eyes looks better with that kind of strokes.
I hear you! There’s no ~ one-size-fits-all ~ for anything! We are all different in some ways. Thank you for sharing your experience. 💛
