My favorite RPG franchise of all time, along with some of my favorite yokai in this game being the generals and I love the story thanks to me watching the movie when it was shown on Disney XD= Great time for kid me and adult me
I'm glad more people are giving Yo-kai Watch a chance and not letting the marketing's bad advertisement as the "Pokemon Killer" muddle their judgement. Also, as much as I like YW2 over the first game I don't think its fair to tell everyone to just skip it. If you're interested in secondary and supporting character's there are exclusive side quests that are slice of life heavy, if you like reading more on fluff dailgoue of the characters. Another thing; the SPD (Speed) stat functions differently than YW2. In YW1, rather than a turn order, if your yokais have a high SPD (about 200+) they attack or use inspirits 2-3 times in one setting, which is a pretty good mechanic that I personally liked about the first game.
It has admittedly been a hot minute since I played the first game. It is interesting to learn that speed works differently between the two. If someone had to play YW1, the only thing I would say is just to not bother with the Infinite Inferno in it since you have to go through it again in 2 as well as the new addition with the Divine Paradise. While I didn't mind the return of the Infinite Inferno much, it did leave me feeling kinda burned since I went through it in 1 and had to go through it again in 2.
@@shrub649 I would agree on that playthrough of the Infinite Inferno, it was very challenging especially the end boss there. I think they nerfed him in YW2 since I don't recall struggling that much, but Divine Paradise's end boss was so sadistic it was almost impossible unless you use the right type of yokais to even stand a chance. I haven't yet finished Yo-kai Watch 3, but I could imagine they made another end boss even worse.
evertime i go into the infinite tunnel im really unlucky, im trying to get statiking(i think thats the name) and it only appears really far down in the tunnel i believe
@@secretgravities yes but you can get statiking from the lucky crank a kai, which you can access after beating said boss and then going to a rare station called bucklebreaker

Yo Kai Watch is so goddamn underrated. In Australia YKW3 costs like 300 bux. I got it a while ago so I'm good, but jesus christ.
Yo-Kai Watch is such a fun series, I wish I could stream Shadowside. Great video! 👍🏻
It really is a fun series. Glad you liked the video!
I’ve been playing ykw since it came out in the west and Psychic Specters is my favourite game
Excellent video for an excellent game.
"Hypnotic suggestion" *LITERALLY STRIKES HIM WITH LIGHTNING*
Fantasy Life, Ni No Kuni, Dark Cloud, Snack World.. I have enjoyed all Level 5 games.
Yo-kai watch 2 has always been my favorite
Yo-Kai Watch 2 is the best game out of the 4
This is why psychic specters is my favourite game
Yw2 is so nostalgic for me I love it so much
