Same problem I have , mine has 3 screws and I have 2 door chimes, I installed it, but now my chime inside does not work , camera works great but no chime inside , and I did install that little box, and ideas or help ????
Hello. Thank you for the video. Can you tell me please this videobell connects with only one smartphone or is it possible to connect 2 or more smartphones? Thanks
Nice but do you have a Video of one with out a door bell to start with ? I would like to get one what does not have a door bell. Just to see who is at my door. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day. PS: Or do they make a camera with motion detector so I know when some one is at my door and can see who it is? Thanks for your help.
Are you able to download videos to another location besides the micro sd card and cloud. Or download videos from the SD card onto your phone? This or skybell? Great video.
@@maurir6438 I prefer the skybell. The image quality is bit better but it is getting harder to find. With the EZVIV and SD card you can view the videos on your phone and save them to your phone.
You'd have to go with a battery operated wireless video doorbell. Unfortunately, I don't know much about them, but there are some available on Amazon. amzn.to/32lfFUG
Connecting without a chime interests me as well. I do not have any chime at my home and I am not sure how to connect the doorbell to the power outlet. I am sure some kind of transformer is needed and don't think the power unit bundled with the doorbell is suitable for this scenario.
You get 3-hours of free cloud storage (off site) with the EZVIZ video doorbell. Plenty of storage to grab everything you need after a trigger event. But if you want long-term storage, you would either have to use the SD card, which is installed in the video doorbell on the outside of the home, our subscribe to their long-term cloud storage service, as with other solutions.
Good video - thanks. We just installed one of these. Works well, except our house has 2 doorbell pushbuttons. We replaced one of them with this EZVID but now when we press the 2nd (old) doorbell, the inside doorbell chime doesn't ring. It only rings when pressing the new EZVID doorbell. Note: it used to ring when either of the doorbells were pushed. Any advice?
You can connect it to your NVR since it is RTSP compatible. I tried and it worked but unfortunately I found the doorbell unit itself unstable and unreliable as a security tool. A cheaper alternative would be an outdoors IP camera with two way audio. If you find setting up a NVR too much work, Ring 2 may be a better option but with subscription. I bought Ring 2 and returned it for that reason but I heard it's a good and reliable doorbell camera.
@@rbluciano. Oh too bad. I just found the problem. I replaced my old 4v - 6v - 8v transformer to a new 8v - 12v - 24v transformer. The chime didn't work on 12v or 24v but it worked on the 8v. I think because of the higher va🧐
I have the same problem with my unit connected to a mechanical chime running at 12V ac; the lower end of the recommended voltage range. The door bell unit was hot. Furthermore, after a successful install and link to my WIFI and mobile, the unit decided to go offline after 20 minutes or so and showed a solid red circle for a while and then turned solid blue again. However, the bell button stopped making any bell sound and the unit remained offline even showing solid blue(supposed to mean normal working mode). I checked my wifi signal and it was very strong. The router was only 2 meters from the bell running around 250 Mbps at 5GHz and 60 Mbps at 2.4GHz. The aforementioned problem has repeated several times since I bought it a day ago. Sometimes the reset button managed to bring the unit back to normal but sometimes I needed to disconnect the power and reconnect. My experience with this unit has not been good so far. May return it for a refund tomorrow (£135 in the UK) and get a more stable IP outdoors camera with two ways audio. Does the same job and is cheaper. Also I know it would be compatible with my existing NVR set up. Ezviz claimed to be RTSP compatible (i.e. you can see it on your NVR or through Blue Iris) but the online support was not that helpful in showing how to make connection to this doorbell unit from your NVR or Blue Iris. I did managed to link it to my Blue Iris (while it was working)using "admin" as the username and the verification code (in very small print) above the QR code. I would have loved to keep this unit. Unfortunately it is too temperamental to be useful and reliable. Would love to try out Amcrest's AD110 but it is not available in the UK. It is another RTSP compatible and subscription free doorbell.
It's deserve to like ❤️

I haven't tried one with two chimes in the home.Try their customer support.
I think the power kit is the better option than using a rechargeable battery like in the Ring, or the Skybell too I believe
Appreciate the comment. Thanks for watching.

We have not done this, but their customer support says you can use the same account (same login credentials) to view the camera on multiple devices.
Cost efficient

The doorbell camera is meant to connect to the door chime power lines. But EZVIV does make outdoor, motion, sensor cameras as well. amzn.to/2p1Au3G

What if I don't have an existing door bell at all. Can it just go directly to my phone to alert me where ever I am?

does this have the ability to be accessed from a desktop pc as well ?
Your know I've never tried, but I'm pretty sure it's just through the app.
Thank you for doing such a wonderful demo of install and review.

hi, how can i install the DB1 without any Chime in my House ? can i use a power transformer to connect the DB1 ?
Disconnect chime. It should just ring to your phone only.

wait - the sd card is accessible from outside your door? so the burglar can just pull it and take it with?

No he can't just pull it and take it. He needs a torx driver to take off the security door.
Can 2 of these be wired to an existing mechanical door bell chime that has 3 terminals, one for front door and one for back door?
I've never done a double door bell installation. We don't see them here.
My current doorbell is one of those that connect with the chime by radio waves, so no cable to connect at the door. What do I do?
Sorry. I don't have a good answer for you. They all need the wires for power.

I have to say, I've never run into a house with two doorbells. I'm stumped on this one.

Is 128 gb sd card the largess card that the camera will handle?
Yes. Once full it starts to erase over the oldest captured video history.

How come nobody is mentioning that this doorbell camera runs too hot. And that Ezviz says its normal...
