  • The 2016 Dunk Competition featured 4 competitors but it was truly a battle of 2. The competition featured a battle for the ages between Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine, which at one point featured 6 consecutive perfect dunks between the two competitors. Both competitors deserved to come home with the trophy, but it was Zach Lavine who stood standing as the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Champion.

    Zach Lavine is a Professional Basketball player who is best known for winning back to back NBA slam Dunk Contests in 2015 and 2016. Zach played his Collegiate Basketball at UCLA and was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 13th Overall Draft Pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
    Aaron Gordon is a Professional Basketball player who is best known for his memorable duel with Zach Lavine in the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Aaron recorded 3 consecutive perfect Dunks before finally loosing the competition to Zach Lavine. Aaron played his collegiate basketball at Arizona University and was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 4th overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft.
