Well done, not an easy track playing for the first time from the tips. Also looked like they had recently punched and sanded the greens as well. Saxon’s greens roll really nice early in the season before the heavy traffic and the summer heat gets to them. Great to see it the course you play with drone footage. You played from a lot of the places I usually end up albeit with way better results 😂! Looking forward to see your video for Maple Moor, these are my two go to places to play in Westchester.
This is my home track. You're right, it's fabulous for a muni - super well maintained. Yes, we curse the driving range every single time on 10. I definitely coulda saved you guys about 4 strokes if I'd been on the bag. But overall very well played! It's a course that rewards scrambling and you guys did that well. And number 18 is about two long par 5s from the farthest corner of Winged Foot - so....Tillinghast FTW!
Nice format, nice round. Have not seen a range like that but my home course, 11th hole, where most drives go is on the back end of the range. Range is supposed to be irons only. Many don’t listen. Net has been torn for 2 years. Head on a swivel on your second shot
There’s a course near me called Toot Hill and the driving range is barely a tree’s width from the 16th, 17th and 18th fairways. The range balls are exclusively yellow so it’s possible to run on and find your white ball if need be, but you enter the range at your own risk 😅
My old local course had a range where if you were hitting on the right side and sliced one with your driver, your putting it on the 18th green. No alarms. Lol.

Saxon is pretty solid. Mohansic is the best but Maple Moor is my favorite. Hope you got to play them all.

As a sub I like to watch the 2-man scramble or stroke play because we get to see more golf.

We have black squirrels in northeast Ohio around the Kent/streetsboro area
