- Unboxing the Poco X4 Pro 5G, which packs similar specs, camera tech and performance to Xiaomi's Redmi Note 11 Pro. This hands-on review runs through the features of the Poco X4 Pro, with a Genshin Impact gaming test, photo and video samples and more.
So first up, yes, the specification of this budget smartphone is very similar (near identical in fact) to the premium Redmi Note 11 handset from earlier in 2022. This blower is aimed at more demanding users on a strict limit, with the Snapdragon 695 once again proving a worthy SoC for gamers. Certianly PubG, CoD Mobile and other Android titles play perfectly.
You have a 108MP camera slapped on the back of the Poco X4 Pro 5G, which can capture crisp photos but only FHD video. Battery life is strong, courtesy of the 5000mAh cell with Turbo Charge support. You also get Xiaomi's MiUI 13 launcher, albeit on top of older Android 11 OS.

You are covering just about every product of interest that is launching at the MWC. Can't imagine how many videos you had to shoot back to back with all the different products and they are all so good with your upbeat and fun take on them all the way. I am not sure about it,but i think i prefer the x4 pro because of the screen because i have the x3 pro and to tell you the truth i have never really used its powerfull cpu since i dont play videogames on my phone so if i could trade it for a x4 pro i think i would go for it.

I just bought this phone to my young brother and it is awesome compare to other budget phones specially to Huawei considering you can google services on Poco pro Mx4, I am using Huawei y9 s for 2 years and no android 11 even, yeah Poco pro MX4 worth it
I see some folks are a little disappointed.
In my case, I'm upgrading from the POCO F1 so I'm thinking, for me, the X4 Pro will be a nice upgrade and I'm looking forward to checking it out.
Update; Compared with the POCO F1 is an interesting experience.
I'd say there isn't a wow I've upgraded moment, rather a gradual noticing of pros and cons.
The X4 has a nicer screen and much better speakers, so if that's important to you, upgrade.
However the F1 is still a smoother and slightly faster device and just feels the more expensive device of the two.
The X4 is still growing on me though...
stay in F series...F2 is better than X4

So they went from sd 860 to 695, video caps at 1080p instead of 4k and it runs miui 13 over android 11... A real disappointment like the redmi note 11 pro, let's hope they don't mess up poco f4 !
Hey Tech Spurt does it have an incredible Bluetooth connection whenever I connect the smartphone with my headphone and will the Bluetooth connection keep on going or will the music keep on pausing if I do push-ups or burpees whenever I am moving about with my body?
Bummer that they went for a chipset downgrading (compared to the X3 pro) to accommodate that AMOLED screen and that theoretically 'better' camera.
I like this decent smartphone it has an astounding gaming performance with smooth gaming performance whenever you play games on the go on this smartphone. Therefore, I love this smartphone camera mode with its juicy elevating 64MP senor whenever you capture photos in the daytime and nighttime inside or outside it takes incredible photos in its best abilities on this smartphone.
Can you tell me if this phone supports VoLTE over here in the UK please? Need to ditch my current Realme X2 for something relatively cheap but a bit more up to date, and I need VoLTE (something which isn't available on the X2 for some reason).

I have Poco X3 NFC having great cameras and flagship features of Miui camera in it like VLOG mode and 4k recording even on ultra wide angel with stabilisation on 4k also SD 732g has better ISP, DSP plus better CPU cores and I don't think this is the time to upgrade it ft RN11 series and Poco X4 5g

Do we have the same device? The cameras on my X3 NFC are nothing special, unless you use a GCam which makes very good photos. Also, having Lineage 18.1 on it is a great experience.

Well, these tech channels usually test the game while having a starter account, the others actually test the game's performance with a packed up acc like Golden Reviewer and Adam Lobo TV

I have the Poco X3 - and it lets you record 4K 30 fps..... why does the older model have more options for video recording? odd.
I was so excited, but I think I'll just stick to the x3 pro. The camera quality and the snapdragon 695 lost me in this one 😅
We can blame it to the weaker 695 5G. As a Poco X3 Pro user I'm sad this phone got heavily downgraded and to add insult to injury they're actually selling it a more higher price than the Poco X3 pro's launch price.

I know a friend who bought the X3 NFC and regretted it when the X3 Pro came out. So there's that 😂 Atleast in this case the X4 Pro is a downgrade.

@@gustavgustaffson9553 DEFINITELY, just know that the Poco x3 pro has an Ips display and a 48 mp main sensor (Tho honestly it takes better pictures compared to the Poco x4, because of its powerful 860 snapdragon chipset )
I really don't get the point of 108mp cameras unless they're doing pixel binning or using it to enhance the zoom. I would far rather have a more modest main camera that allows more light into the lens with OIS than have 3 separate cameras that are meh for everything

So why has this phone been released when it's all but identical to the RN11 Pro global?
Poco is a relatively niche, unknown brand anyway so the regular consumer wouldn't rush out to buy one. What's its USP?
i have the poco x3 nfc and I have to say its really good. camera isn't great but if you know how to get the lighting and stuff like that then its no problem. poco x4 is also really goo but I don't really think that upgrade is a requirement
Awesome, i got the poco x3 pro , the model year after the nfc , its flawless. My processor is more powerful then yours , but your main camera is a bit better then mine.
@@KikoBG12 to be honest I don't have any bugs or lags and the camera only works if you know how to take a photo. My friend has note 11 and my photos are better

... why do 'newer' phones come out with soc's less powerful than previous phones? E.g., this phone has a qualcomm 695 but the x3 gt had a mediatek 1100. The new motorola stylus has a helio g- something that is not 5g. One of last year's had the qual 480, which is 5g.

That's a significant step down from the Snapdragon 860 in the Poco X3 Pro.
True they focus more on the design and camera but still its not good

@@johncomique8272 It is priced a bit better though new (slower) X4 Pro (6GB) is EUR 220. The old (faster) one with 6GB you can get for EUR 250.
Still, people may be drawn in because it looks like the successor of the X3, and for that reason they may be fooled in thinking it is faster.

How does it compare to the X3 Pro? Is the 695 as good as the 860? I find it weird it being called pro if the chipset isn’t on par with the older X3 pro
Bro the 860 was released in 2019 the 695 in October 2021, plus its smaller so it should be faster
@@jonyythetryhrd bro, NEVER ever compare the raw performance of the SD 800 series with a 600 series. Even with the 860 being 2 years old, the difference is still night and day. Unless you're in 2016, where the SD652 did matched the performance of the failed 808 and 810 from a year before.
No it isn't as powerful. But considering they upgraded everything else, can't argue with that.

Looks like a Sony smart phone on the sides and the UI looks cluttered but then again depends on individual use. Medium-m-ish gamer phone.

So what specs make the Poco X4 a gaming phone and the Redmi note 11 pro a non gaming phone? I'm not much of a gamer (but my son is and I bought him the X3 last year) and this was ticking a lot of boxes for me until it got to the video spec of 1080p instead of 4k. The Note 10 Pro is 4k but it's not Amoled, ahhh! I was so close!

Can you please confirm if WiFi calling is working on this device as I have the redmi note 9 pro and it is not working for me even though I have enabled in settings I can't get it to work I have poor coverage in my location so this is a big selling point for me when looking at a new phone my provider is Vodafone and even when I contacted them they say it's a phone issues not them any help appreciated long time subscriber
