I love Joyce so much, her opera roles, her songs. This is utterly gorgeous and a huge comfort during this tough pandemic. The power of music..... Heartfelt thanks for the joy dearest Joyce. 🎶
I wach this video again and again! Joyce you are a great musician, you can everything to do,but ,first of all,you are a great soul, that is the difference in front of the others musicians! You have such a beautiful soul, you touch our hearts so gentle,so tender! God bless you!
"À Chloris" by Reynaldo Hahn is my favourite mélodie française, along with also Hahn's "L'heure exquise" and "Il pleure dans mon cœur" by Frederick Delius. Thank you Joyce for your wonderful artistry!
I can only say "THANK YOU". Can love be expressed with such simplicity and greatness at the same time? THANK YOU AGAIN, AND A THOUSAND TIMES, Mrs. DiDonato. The world is a better place to live in with things like this.
Absolutely gorgeous and so beautifully sung and played by the amazing Joyce, I remember Susan Graham having performed this piece. Thank you for sharing this video it’s exactly what we need right now, a balm for the soul. I really hope and pray that I will get to hear Joyce again live as I still have strong memories of her performing in Agrippina and Semiramide which I was very fortunate to hear her at Covent Garden.
So many reasons to respect this performance! The ones that stick out the most to me is the fact that she's accompanying herself AND the incredible breath support, especially the last line of this song...not easy to do!!! Blessings, Joyce!
Excellent selection . It will hypnotize any who havent heard anything but the everyday pop music . She is a fabulous musician -singer . she is even able to sing at her high level and attempt to accompany herself - Brave ! I love this woman and all she does to keep the spirit and comradeship of all us congregants of music . I so hope she comes to Miami or WestPalm or Broward . Ive never seen her live . I love her masterclasses . Every pianist , violinist whatever would gain from artistry . Reynaldo Hayn is always mentioned by those in the know - this sounds like a Hadyn or Cimarosa aria of the mid17th century not a 20th century french composer . Now i must discover what else he wrote ! Thanks for giving my day additional discovery .Thanks most of all for establishing connections . This is high mezzo music ? But really beautiful full of honest sentiment !
Thank you for that beautiful song, and you accompanied yourself! You are a true star. Your performance brought some calm and happiness into another day of isolation.
Let's hold the thought that a readjustment of respect is happening all over the world. Certain leaders, down. The people who can help the ill, the key workers keeping society functioning, up and up. And then the people who can give to us, who give these reminders of what human beings can do. That's immeasurably important. 'The still, sad music of humanity'. Doing something beautiful.
So pure. So beautiful.. listening to this just soothed my soul and allowed me to drop just a little bit away from fear into a sort of wistful, almost exquisite mellow sadness, which was necessary for me to connect with just now. Thank you, Joyce. 🌈🙏
Absolutely fantastic performance!!! Thank you so much for sharing your art, your strength and your hope with us during this dark and difficult time! Take care of yourself and stay healthy!

Une grande musicienne 🧑🎤
Wow, she can really do anything...it seems so easy, but not easy at all! That’s the really great thing of Joyce.
what a beautiful melody and wonderful singer.
Yes, she can do anyhthing! "I love the piano", with Antonio Pappano! Both of them unchained...
Always extraordinary the great Franco-Venezuelan composer Reynaldo Hahn. “A Chloris” is definitely one of the most beautiful songs in the world!
Would you call it “baroque pastiche”? I think it is charming and Joyce is wonderful.
This gorgeous song is making me cry with joy again and again. Tough times here in the UK this Christmas. You lift us up dear Joyce....xxx
Джойс музыкант от Бога! Во всех проявлениях прекрасна!
Exquisitely sung - it takes truly remarkable musicianship to accompany oneself.
Because she is a truly remarkable musician - and human being
A great and generous artist.
Bravissimo to a brilliant musician and actress!
I love Joyce so much, her opera roles, her songs. This is utterly gorgeous and a huge comfort during this tough pandemic. The power of music..... Heartfelt thanks for the joy dearest Joyce. 🎶
Sending an abundance of LOVE & heartfelt appreciation to you, Joyce!
To me this lovely performance of a piece of this complexity is just a perfect example of the wonderful and incomprehensible powers of the human brain.
I think my soul left me body and flew to the edge of the milky way and back, on the wings of Joyce's voice.
Gracias por incluir esta sentida canción de un venezolano
That just joined the ranks of my favorite performances ever. I'm inspired.
