Hi Guys! Coming off a 3AM flight home from a work trip, so will be a little late getting the desk plans out to you. Please forgive, will update with link as soon as plans are live. Appreciate you watching! Ana
Ana I just have to say that you and your husband are such a blessing and inspiration to me and my hubby. I love all of your videos together, the building together, creating together, and the list goes on. The best part that I love about you guys is you share your work with everyone for FREE! That is so unheard of and I just hope that you both see the rewards come back to you for the giving and kind spirit you both display! Every time I watch your videos I feel like I am watching my inner me... I know I can build (although I have not tried yet) and I cannot wait to try some of these plans on our future Tiny house. I hope to be the great builder, creator, and Mom that you are Ana. I cannot say it enough THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the lessons and the time you put into your videos and plans!!! God Bless, Towan & Andrea Wright
That will be perfect for my tiny cabin. I could use one side as a desk and the other side as a sewing table. Then when I change it, not only could it be a dining table but it could be a used as a cutting table for cutting fabric. Love it.
You are brilliant!!! I am so obsessed with multipurpose furniture. It is so much fun to problem solve this way. Thank you for sharing your efforts with us. I am very inspired.
You could add a hinge between the two desks and a track against the wall that they ran in so it kind of concertina out like a bifold door and that way it would be kind of supported when you drive at 100 mph through the back roads. Great idea, love it. Love the white on everything. Makes it clean and a lot more spacious.
Really love this... I'm sooo gonna build this. Looks so practical for the space I have.. Just a suggestion, you could get some hardwood floor leg cushion pads which would help those tables slide out easier👍🏻
with all the individual DIY projects that you have created from this tiny house project you make it seem realistic and affordable for any of us to build a tiny home. I know costs vary by regions but could you do a video on the estimated cost of each project and for the tiny house as a whole? also an estimated timeframe for each project and for the tiny house as a whole. your inspiration is feeding my desire to start building and I appreciate that very much. thank you guys
I LOVE this idea! I wanted to just buy a Tiny Home but the one I love just sold and I really don’t like any of the other ones that are for sale in my area due to their layouts. After watching your videos building definitely seems like the best option and you guys make it actually look do-able! Your videos are great, so far have only been watching your tiny house playlist but definitely will be checking out more!!
This is an amazing piece of furniture you have designed. I am fixing up my 2300 sq ft home to sell and I love the idea of using this in my eat in kitchen. I like the idea that this could be used as a desk, convert to table or even a island. I have a 4 bdrm home so it is likely whoever purchases my home will have children so the desk in the eat in kitchen would be very handy. I have a separate dining room so they would have another location to eat I they did not want to convert it every day. I will use this idea when I purchase my tiny home as well. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. You are amazing and very generous. God bless....
Awesome Anna! If you cantilevered the non-hinged ends it would butt up to the wall on the window side. Would you consider a flip up top on either side of the drawers to capture that dead space? Or two drawers in each unit vs one? Great for placemats, silverware, etc...
Nice, I'm designing an L-shaped desk to convert into a dining table... I like the hinge idea... not sure if I'll use it or keep them free to be separate.... I'm having a challenge in the corner, and will either have a dead space for shelves or lamp, or..... ??? I have 7' width available for each side... (what cad program are you using ???)
HI Ana and Jacob (can't leave him out of this hehe) 2 things that worries me and shall put them to you for your comment or maybe for jacob to comment? 1) During transportation of your tiny home (cos I do remember you been saying it being built for while you are all doing various building project on various sites) how do you intend to secure the desk/table to the wall to stop it moving during transportation? 2) I notice that when the desk fold together to make a table there is 1 corner with no legs for support and thus can over time sag and twist and make the table uneven. Only thing I can think of is a swivel hinge lock type (piece of metal the swing around into a locking pin) to hold that unsupported leg. Otherwise an excellent desk/table idea and makes it very functionable for either, well done for thinking this up.
I thought the same thing. The best fix I thought of was a small leg hinged to the side that does have a leg. In desk mode it would swing under the back cross piece by the wall. In table mode it would swing under the pieces that meet in the corner where the leg is missing because of the wheel well.
1000 videos have watched, and you guys give the same info than the more technical one but in way more simpler word... thank... I have been modelling my tiny house on Sketchup for a while now but will LOVE to compare your plans to mine, it definitely will give me more confident to jump to the build. do you know when about you are going to release them? are you gonna share the Sketchup model? kind regards from New Zealand
Thanks, I'm going to build a small workshop. This will work for the small projects or if I need to start with a full sheet of wood. It would be great for the Garage Diy'rs.
As always, you are a genius! I love the design as well. Ana White, Have you considered adding lockable casters to make it easy to pull out, as well as lock in place during transport?
I found the link... www.ana-white.com/2016/05/free_plans/desks-convert-table-our-tiny-house-wheels It is on a page with some other random video on the top but if you scroll down they are broken, it only goes to step 8, it is even this way in the PDF version
Me too. ;) I'm not sure you'd have to sew so much as upholster for those. You might be able to get away with staples and maybe glue for the most part. On the other hand, there's always the balance between the cost of building (time+materials) vs paying for someone else to do it, so you still may have come out ahead with a Target purchase. :)
The only thing I wonder about is why there's only one drawer on each side. You're throwing away space for four more drawers, and in a tiny house you can always use more drawers.
+SumErgoMonstro good point! That was my original plan but the desk sagged in the middle without any front apron support so had to downsize the drawer. So people have commented on a lift up storage area that would have worked well and tripled the storage. Thanks for watching!
We do quite a bit, especially for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner when conversation and family time is important, I like to have a real table. It's also nice to have a table for playing games.

Sounds perfect Lynn, thanks for watching!
You have a big heart in sharing your creations.
Kudos! I love how the desks are sturdy against the wall (don't tip over) and the dining table is a good size!

+Theresia Smolevitz Thanks, we love it!

+Tracy Smith Great idea!
Love this! Locking casters would make this even easier to convert
Great idea Ana, I really like it. This tiny house is coming along very nicely!
+paulhett Thank you!
Really love this... I'm sooo gonna build this. Looks so practical for the space I have.. Just a suggestion, you could get some hardwood floor leg cushion pads which would help those tables slide out easier👍🏻
+miniade1 Great idea, thanks for watching!
You could also attach casters to the legs and make it roll instead of drag. Get the ones that lock.
Great idea, and fantastic execution!
+NoTimeForThatNow Thanks!

Beautiful Ana you are awesome😊 your ideas, projects and creations are amazing 😀🤗
+Ana Rodriguez Thank you Ana!
I would add rail in the wall so whole thing can just be pulled out and then moved along the rail where needed. This should also make it more sturdy.
That would be super cool! Thanks for watching:)
Great solution!
very awesome Ana as always!
+gilliland426 Thank you very much!

+Michael Ackerman Thank for watching Michael!
Hi Ana. Do you post the Sketchup files on your web site? I looked around and couldn't find them. Are they up for purchase?
Not at this time Saeid. Thanks for your support and understanding!
it'S ALRIGHT. thANKS FOR AMAZING VIDEOS. oops!
Such a great idea! What about adding a latch to secure both tables once folded?
great idea! it's pretty stable without, but a latch certainly wouldn't hurt, especially if you put casters on
As always, you are a genius! I love the design as well. Ana White, Have you considered adding lockable casters to make it easy to pull out, as well as lock in place during transport?
+revital mitchell That is a fabulous idea! Thanks for watching:)

Thank you so much. Besides being so skilled and talented, you're also generous!
You guys have such great ideas for your tiny house! :) Love this table idea! :)
Why don't you have a bathroom in this tiny house?
+Chaz Evansdale For our intended purpose we do not need a bathroom, stay tuned for the tiny house with bathroom. Thanks for watching!
Ana White Sweet. I'm just happy about a second design. I'm loving the first one! :)

As usual, nice video, thx

CARACAAA PFCT ...... LOVEEE
+Aline Fernandes Thanks for watching!
Why can't I find the bathroom and fridge?? Love love the desks.
Hi Amy, our intended purpose doesn't require those things, stay tuned for the tiny house design that will include bathroom and kitchen!
Wow! So cool :)
Are the two benches something you built or bought?
I just found this doing a search. Ther is no link to the website or the plan unless I'm missing something! Where are the plans?
Plans are added in comments. ;)
I found the link... www.ana-white.com/2016/05/free_plans/desks-convert-table-our-tiny-house-wheels It is on a page with some other random video on the top but if you scroll down they are broken, it only goes to step 8, it is even this way in the PDF version
I been on the site but am unable to pull up the plans for this project can you please help????

Did you build or buy the storage seats?
Those are from target. Pretty terrible at sewing, so went that route there.
Me too. ;) I'm not sure you'd have to sew so much as upholster for those. You might be able to get away with staples and maybe glue for the most part. On the other hand, there's always the balance between the cost of building (time+materials) vs paying for someone else to do it, so you still may have come out ahead with a Target purchase. :)
usefull desk

cool, but honestly, why not just eat looking out the windows?
Of course that is an option too. Thanks for watching!
Cheers! You made your desks from scratch. Nice! Another option, maybe easier would be starting with two IKEA desks.
We do quite a bit, especially for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner when conversation and family time is important, I like to have a real table. It's also nice to have a table for playing games.
Sure, kind of hard to talk to your guests with your necked twisted all dinner!
+Travis Williamson starting w/ 2 IKEA desks? Well that's no fun! Great idea instead for an IKEA Hack site though:).
good i dear...
where's the love button??
Don't get how a table with no back legs stand.
It's so pretty and cute but where's a bathroom
For our intended purpose for this tiny house, we did not require one.
What about a bathroom
Thanks for watching, tiny house with bathroom in the works!
