The most amazing violinist...and I'm old enough to heard and seen several of the greats. Much of his genius is his tremendous bow control, but it's what's in his soul that really counts. Bravo!!
Absolutely! Apart from technical perfection in playing what i also liked most is the tonal quality and emotion. Violin tone is so pure and sweet. Not heard even a single scratch in sound in any of his videos
Brilliant. The bass line is so clean and so rhythmic while the melody on top is just angelic. One of the most brilliant performances I have heard of this piece! Amazing Maestro! ❤️
Each your performance is a sign of how far beyond the violin's standard playing rules maestro can reach. Thank you for sharing this video. Having an opportunity to hear your work is a true gift
I never knew violin can sound so very intimate, nuanced and sublimely beautiful, even though I am listening through a pair of $15 ear phones. It’s the artistry of Mr. Hadelich and the heavenly gift in J.S. Bach at their best. Plus, the praise must go to the maker of this perfect-sounding instrument ! What a treat to our souls ! Thank God we still have opportunity to enjoy such music !
I can’t believe this only has only 69k views. This is one of the most beautiful, ethereal interpretations. I listen to it on repeat often and it never fails to uplift my spirits
Amazing! What makes it especially remarkable is that in a work like this there's no place to hide. The simplicity of a largo movement on a solo violin is profound and making it so intimate to a large spellbound audience is, for me, an ultimate artistic accomplishment.
l was there in the 7th row .. the Berg just wiped one out, in its beauty and sadness, and then this encore ! .. l remember being so thankful that it was long, not wanting it to end .. 🌹 Thank you for posting this, may have listened to it over 30 times today already ..✨✨ .. thinking of Bach’s faith and musical language; my good father now in heaven; and the sadness of the Israelis and Gazans .. Thank you, Augustin, and thank you, Wiener Philharmoniker, for letting us hear him, and you (with Nelsons, in the Berg and the Mahler) ..✨💫
Let's invite everybody organize the next Christmas events, music happenings and tickets for concerts, encouraging our most beloved music stars keep on having fun performing and entertain us just this good, this one breaks my heart.. 😢😢😢
His sound on a Guarneri del Jesu is superb. Really pulls out many dimensions with this one. Different personality on the Strad but some pieces i prefer played on his Strad - vice versa
I heard James Ehnes play this as his encore in Raleigh a few months ago after playing the Beethoven Violin concerto and it was a real treat. Augustin plays it just as beautifully. I’m thinking about getting tickets to see him in Raleigh next year but I don’t like the Prokofiev :(

Couldn' t express it better! 👏🙏

So true
There is no other contemporary violinist I would rather listen to. Thank you, Augustin, for sharing your gift.
Brilliant. The bass line is so clean and so rhythmic while the melody on top is just angelic. One of the most brilliant performances I have heard of this piece! Amazing Maestro! ❤️
The smoothness and tenderness of sound is just unbelievable ❤ like breathing or heart beats
A glass of pure Bach from the wonderful musician Augustin Hadelich...
Can’t stop listening to this one.
I find your interpretations of Bach to be the most calming for me. They really touch the soul.

I got tears in my eyes, the sound was lovely and I so enjoy watching how effortless the very controlled vibrato is. Just beautiful.
Augustin continues to astound! How beautiful 💕
The smoothest bow in existence
Wonderful. This piece is so much more difficult than it sounds and it's always a pleasure to hear it from a great violinist.
I love how the musicians in the orchestra also enjoy the performance alot!
l noticed this too
you make the world feels bearable with your artistry, mr hadelich. Thank you ❤

It’s a beautiful violin indeed - Guarneri del Gesu, the same that Henryk Szeryng played.

What a gem! Thank you! The reaction of the musicians behind you says it all !
How I love the Andante. For me, one of the most beautiful pieces ever written.
You make the notes float beautifully, it is always a blessing to hear you play.
I am not a musician, but when i listen to this, all the noise, rush, and restlessness of the world calms down and disappears
So heavenly playing by Augustin, thank you for this moment..👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Without a doubt, the most moving rendition of this movement in my opinion. Augustin is an absolute treasure. Thank you!!!
Agreed!
beautiful beyond words
Hard to find words to do this much beauty justice!

Fully agree!
