How To Repair A Shower Cartridge and Pressure Balance Unit / Thanks For 30 Subs

In this video I will be showing you how to disassemble and repair most modern showers, if your shower is made with only one handle like this one, then your unit will be very similar.
Step 1: Turn off water to shower, if no way to turn it off, then turn off water to your whole home..
Step 2: Remove 2 screws from cover, then remove cover
Step 3: Remove 4 brass screws from cartridge, then remove cartridge, if cartridge is good, then you don't need to remove handle. if cartridge is bad then remove plastic cover from handle, remove screw from center of handle, then remove handle..
Step 4: Remove pressure balance unit, make sure all o rings have been removed from inside of shower body,
Step 5: Replace all parts in reverse order as removal..

If your shower will only get hot or cold but wont get warm or allow you to adjust temp then you need the pressure balance unit..
