Their views on the comparative value of 'godly' vs 'worldly' wisdom ('Reasoning p291 -'How does God view the 'wisdom' offered by human philosophy') does not preclude their referencing philosophers, historians, etc. In the case you quote they don't 'cherry pick' Aristotle - in fact they make a fairly generous observation of his achievements - but use the views of one historian (widely accepted by others) that Aristotle had a significant impact on Aquinas and hence on the medieval church. I see no 'ridicule' in the article, only a well made point, one you would find in most history texts. You might like to critique the point rather than 'cherry picking' the article - or more accurately creating a false contradiction - to support a fairly lame argument of your own. Kind regards.
