+Cornerback80 It's all around a bad bet. The odds of winning vs. the payout structure isn't worth it. Just because it hasn't won in x amount of hands doesn't mean it's "due" to hit or anything like that. Just because you get lucky on it doesn't change the math. Google "Gambler's Fallacy" to learn more about it. It's the same logic that Roulette players use....."number 20 hasn't spun in 120 spins.....it's due!" In reality, it still has a 1/38 chance of spinning (1/37 on a single 0 wheel). That's why casinos put up those boards that tell you what numbers are "hot" and "cold." It gives you the illusion that you can predict the future. If you could actually predict the future on those types of games, the casino wouldn't allow past numbers to be written or displayed. My local casino follows the 1-4-6-30-40 pay table in the Pair Plus and REQUIRES a $5 minimum bet on that. I've had pretty good luck with it for being just a flat red chipper. As long as you keep your Ante and Pair Plus the same denomination, you don't lose on a non-qualifying dealer hand. It just results in a push. The first time I played I got away with not playing Pair Plus until the pit boss came over and told me I had to. I wonder if its the trade off for having the better pay table.
Why did he lose with a Pair of ACEs at the 7:46 minute mark? This makes no sense. I was looking around as to why a pair of aces lost to the dealer's pair of KINGS. Using computer simulations against every other hand the dealer can get, making the raise at Q64 or better will guarantee the minimum house advantage of 3.37% which is as low as it can get. It basically means you'll lose less over a long period of play.
@@carlchilders4813 that makes since but I'm still wondering how much of a difference it makes? I feel like if you have a queen and a 6 your odds still arent bad.
I once sat at a 3 card poker table, the kid to my left refused to play the $1 side bet because he watched a youtube video that told him to never 'fall victim' to side bet lures. You are there to have fun, so try your luck, even if a youtuber tells you that you'll fall victim to side bets.
Six card side bets are great, over the past two years I'm up 2,400 on three card poker with a betting style of 5 ante, 5 pair plus, 5 six card, I've found that betting this way keeps me going slightly up or even until I win big on the pair plus and six card.
I always play side bets in every table game. A lot of people say its a waste of money but TRUST ME you can win fat 💰 when playing side bets. The only side bet I dont play is single and double deck blackjack because you have a less chance of winning.
In my experience you'll rarely regret winning big, you'll probably regret loosing too fast. That said the odds are not in your favor on side bets. So I wouldnt say never play side bets, but playing it consistently is likely to result in a loss too fast.
If u want to play long time and not win or lose much you don't have to make the pair plus bet but if u want to make money it's a must and not a sucker bet.. flushes or straights pay for 4 to 6 hands and if u get 3 of a kind or st flush ur talking 30 and 40 to 1.. It happens way more than u think.. I would never play without pair plus, sometimes I only play pair plus and not against the dealer..
This don’t explain everything. In las vagas or some casinos, you can match your cards along with the dealers cards to make a 5 cards poker hand. But depending on some casino, they don’t let you matchup with the dealers cards. So you have to ask dealers at different casinos, what’s their rule of playing 3 card poker.
ya know, this guy is absolutely right. in my experience, when i played 3 card poker, i don't think i won the pair plus bet one time of the 10 hands i played. it was a donation everytime. fuck that
+melissa bopko It seems like the base bets of most carnival games have comparable odds to blackjack (worse, but not by much), yet everyone insists on playing all of the side bets "because that's where you make your money" yet the house edge is so high on those, they really kill you in the long run.
Using computer simulations against every other hand the dealer can get, making the raise at Q64 or better will guarantee the minimum house advantage of 3.37% which is as low as it can get. It basically means you'll lose less over a long period of play.
Jimi J What John said. Still a graphic editing error. The video is too blury to tell what the cards on the table are, but you can see the two face cards are different.
Just because she said she had a flush does not mean she had one! She made a mistake! She had two kings and a 7, it's not possible to have a flush with two kings! You are correct she said she had a flush but she only had a pair of kings!!!
I have seen the strategy in action and the games do speed up because of it (no need for the usual check for low cards) but, since I play for fun, I prefer the ante option. My mother - bless her - NEVER plays Pair Plus in her first game and caused a massive uproar with trip 3's, a straight flush, trip K's and then, two deals later, another straight flush. One spectator almost was tearing his hair out saying could he put a pony on my mother's pair plus box!
I respectfully disagree about the Pairs Side Bet and the 6 Card Combo being Sucker Bets....True, they don't hit often, but when they do, the Pay Out can be HUGE!...Just put $5 on both, no big deal....
Not playing pairs plus could be written in a book or could be said by a professional three card player witch I'm not a pro or author. I always play pairs plus and it's always been good to me. Lifetime I'm up in Vegas playing 3 card
And when I play 3 card poker at casinos there is a pair plus bonus and a 6 card bonus didn't see either of those in this video those are the only real chances of winning anything that amounts to something just on the ante and the play bet you are not going to win nothing that amounts to anything
Except for how the cards are handled and the payouts . . . it can be a fun game but your luck has to be extraordiary as soon as you sit down. What I don't like . . . 1) This is a House Game played against the Players and they are not even invited to cut the cards nor will the house wash the cards if players ask. Maybe that explains how you can sit there forever and get nothing but trash hands. The house is in complete control of the deck but yet required to present an honest/fair game right ??? 2) True Odds vs Payout Sf 460-1 40-1 . . . should pay at least 100 Trips 425-1 30-1 . . . should pay at least 80 Straight 30-1 6-1 . . . 10 Flush 20-1 4-1 . . . 8 Pair 6-1 1-1 . . . 2 Good Luck
when i play 3 card poker, i bet on pairs only...why?I do not have to beat the dealer and be all stressed out, such as that one hand where she lost because the dealer had a larger str8.I bet on pairs only , its idiot proof....and ur money, even though u may lose, lasts longer...i like to have a few cocktails and such and all i have to do is place a chip on the pair bet and the dealer does the rest.I have had much success this way too...
+red7pin your money will only "last longer" if you catch a few hands. Ever hear of "house edge" on games? Each individual bet has a certain edge towards the house. The higher the payout, the higher the house edge (meaning, it's much less likely for you to win, so the house pays more when you do win). Don't confuse LUCK with MATH. You could go 10 straight hands without a pair, yet win each and every single hand because the dealer either didn't qualify or you had a higher hand than them. Numbers don't lie, avoiding Pairs Plus and only playing the Ante and Play will let your money "last longer."
You should never bet on a hand if you highest card is 1 queen. You will almost always lose. Betting with a queen 6 and 4 will for sure make you lose cause what are odds that the dealer has a card higher than a queen. Very likely. Plus betting on pair plus is not a suckers bet. Yiu win more often then not.
+dlvmark I noticed this as well. sharp . he had aces , dealer had pr. kings and he didnt notice that the dealer couldn't have a flush and also a pair. doh
+Myles Kapson I'm in Vegas now, friggin dealer did not want to pay me! This game is so different and seldom played that they make mistakes all the time. So watch your cash. Still probably an advantage game. The casino used a cut card so we could not see the dealers cards. I was pissed cuz she took my cards and bets without paying me!
dlvmark Stay away from new game-Push22. I was dealt 6,5 -doubled down and draw card was a 9 for total of 20. dealer drew a 22 and they paid me nada. it is the game-odds are even more in favor of the house. I'll not play it again.
lol you can tell a lot of the people in the comments are just blowing savings and inheritance and re-financing in casinos.. This and sometime blackjack are the closest thing to real poker outside of Vegas and Atlantic.. 3% more for the house over carribean stud which use to be in it's place, and the whole game is basically 1:1 raise after you see your hand and ante bonus and play plus options that typically lose; idiotic and doesn't take a math genius to see it.. The only strategy is folding based on hand odds which will just lose all the players money really fast..
I always bet the pairs plus to avoid regret of not playing it. The lady in the video would have been up over $100 for the session if she had played the pairs plus.
Hindsight is 20/20, isn't it? It's easy to claim she would have been ahead since you already know the outcome. It's just as easy to lose a lot of money after doing a string of pair pluses and claiming that if you didn't do it you'd have more money. You can't predict the future. Personally, for me, I wait until I have generated a bit of a surplus before doing side bets, then I know I can at least break even if things don't go my way.
This guy saids no to side bets and he is probably right . But I can say i put down $20.00 on a pair bet. I got a 6 and a pair of kings. Then when the dealer exposed there cards they also had two kings . And i walked away from that table $2000.00 richer. Now I'm not saying thus guy is wrong. Because alot of times ( most times ) I don't play the pair bets. And yes the dealer tries to scold me for not playing the pair bets. But what I do is play the pair bets. Sporadically and spontaneously. But when I do I play fairly strong. ( the dew times I do play the pair bets. Because. I mean really are we gambling or pussy footing around. Shit. You feel go for it . But keep your feelings in check. And don't count on winning it. Just count on the feeling.
+Paulette Tull +Steven Chung ... It was a flush but the person editing the video thought the dealer had two kings but it was jack, king, seven of hearts
+Justin Crompton they are in a training room at a casino using a basic table. Blackjack and carney games have essentially the same tables, it's just different layouts. They were probably doing several games back-to-back-to-back.........and rather than change the layout for each video, they just explain how the table would actually look and play as is.
I played cards for many years, I do not play cards any more, because the shufflers are not shuffling they are distributing the cards exactly where they want them to go, these games are fixed, they do pay between 30 and 35 thousand per machine, these games are 100% rigged... the only game they cant totally control is black jack, simply because they don’t know what the players will do, this is why there are so many blackjack tables, the casino averages a small win %
Not making the pair plus is stupid.. the example in vidio.. she had 3 of a kind.. 30 to 1 pay off.. how many bets can you make with that.. a pair gets even money.. flush is 3 to one.. straight is 6 to one.. straight flush is 40 to one.. my best night at the Carson City Nugget so this can be verified.. was 5 3 of a kind and 2 straight flushes.. sure it was a fluke but.. in a normal night I am making money betting just pair plus. Most times though I do place all three positions.. As far as I'm concerned your a sucker for not playing pair plus.
+Lynn Faylor Just because you got lucky with it does NOT make it a good bet. The math doesn't lie. All side bets are sucker bets. If you're just out having a good time and don't care about losing less in the long run, by all means, do what you want. If you're trying to build a sound strategy that minimizes losses, then side bets should be avoided. But you also have to remember, those times you were fortunate and won, especially several times in a short timeframe, those are rare occurrences and examples of getting lucky. It'd be like saying you should hit 17's in blackjack because you've been lucky in the past and drawn A-4. Don't confuse luck with math
Any bet you make in a game where it's you vs. the dealer, and that bet will payout regardless of the dealer's hand, it's a side bet. Also, any bet that isn't required to be played is a side bet (although, Pairs Plus isn't required but it can be played by itself, it's still a side bet because if you get a pair or better, you win, even if the dealer has a better hand). To put it simply, you have "main bets" and "side bets." The "main bet" is the bet that the game was designed around. Ante/Play, for 3 card poker, is for all intents and purposes, the "main bet." Any bet that isn't the "main bet" can be, and most likely is, considered the side bet.
I agree. Not playing pairs at all is just idiotic. You should do it conservatively, not every hand and remember pairs often come in bunches. So play it a couple times then back off and find a good rhythm. 1 out 3 hands on average. I turned 100 into 3000 in one nite playing 3 card in biloxi. No way I could have done that without betting pairs My luck started with a 10 dollar pair plus bet paid 30-1 on a 3 of a kind. These sabermetrics gamblers are so full of shit and just trying to sell books. The math DOES lie. All winning requires some degree of luck. We arent talking about mit blackjack here we're talking about the average joe making a few bucks at 3 card. You'll never get ahead just playing the ante. And you'll leave a lot on the table like this girl did. Not to mention if you lose the ante you still get paid on the pair bet. This guys an idiot.

J, Q, K.
In this instance, the A is like a 1
This don’t explain everything. In las vagas or some casinos, you can match your cards along with the dealers cards to make a 5 cards poker hand. But depending on some casino, they don’t let you matchup with the dealers cards. So you have to ask dealers at different casinos, what’s their rule of playing 3 card poker.
Side bets are sucker bets🥰
7:53 "& let's make sure the dealer pays you correctly..." evil eyes 😆😆😆
ya know, this guy is absolutely right. in my experience, when i played 3 card poker, i don't think i won the pair plus bet one time of the 10 hands i played. it was a donation everytime. fuck that
+melissa bopko It seems like the base bets of most carnival games have comparable odds to blackjack (worse, but not by much), yet everyone insists on playing all of the side bets "because that's where you make your money" yet the house edge is so high on those, they really kill you in the long run.
Forget poker.. how do I get one of those.
Look at Shack. Catching the hole card! 😱
can you bet more than the ante?
+lowandlazy57 If you decide to make the play bet (to see the dealer's hand) it must be equal to the ante, no more, no less.
7:44 that was not a flush
I’m surprised no one noticed that
Right!!! he actually won with pair of Aces, dealer got only a pair of Kings
If you don't play the pair plus, why not just play blackjack? Bj is a lot quicker if you're essentially playing for even money.
I dont understand the 46Q
Using computer simulations against every other hand the dealer can get, making the raise at Q64 or better will guarantee the minimum house advantage of 3.37% which is as low as it can get. It basically means you'll lose less over a long period of play.
this dude is so creepy that i cringed every time he looked at those chicks
When he had the pair of A's he should have won. The dealer said "Flush" which was not correct.
Yea, exactly. WTF? Wizard of odds?
Someone made a mistake with the card graphics on the video. The dealer actually had 3 hearts on the table.
Adam Saylor how can you have 2 kings being hearts?
Jimi J Its not supposed to be a King, it's either a Jack or Queen. Hard to tell from the video.
Jimi J
What John said. Still a graphic editing error. The video is too blury to tell what the cards on the table are, but you can see the two face cards are different.
how does the dealer win at 9.00 as A23 is bigger than JQK.
QkA is the highest after that A23 but here the dealer had JQk
Ace is considered a 'low' card when coupled with 2 and 3. Think of it as a 1,2,3 vs 11 (J) ,12 (Q), 13 (K)
Thats why you play the pair plus. Because in that situation. You get paid 25 to 1 on the extra bet.
why does pair of Ks beat pair of As?
Sarah Smith they messed up the cards on the screen. She actually had a J K 7 of Hearts not a pair of Kings
Hiya, you need to fix this, the dealer cards you showed when you had two aces was not a flush but two kings so you should have won
+Bronwynne Arch The mistake is the video editor. The actual cards are 7 hearts, K hearts, J hearts, in that order, on the table.
you have a dealer who regularly flashes the bottom card they wont be there very long hopefully Dinero wont be in the back room waiting with his hammer
I tried to listen closely the deal says I've a flush.
+tgmad 7KJ, all hearts, she is correct. The video editor screwed up, I'm surprised that hasn't been fixed yet.
Just because she said she had a flush does not mean she had one! She made a mistake! She had two kings and a 7, it's not possible to have a flush with two kings! You are correct she said she had a flush but she only had a pair of kings!!!
I dont know where he sees this stealth Jack at ?
7:41, which the video from there in slowmo on a bigger screen. You'll see (or you won't). It's clear as day on my screen
+BMGipe45 just stay out of all casinos! This is the only safe move for you.
Angela gives a little flash all the time.easy to tell
Why are you showing this on a blackjack table and not showing all the bets available?
I’ve won 1000s and the only thing I bet is my pairs plus
I have seen the strategy in action and the games do speed up because of it (no need for the usual check for low cards) but, since I play for fun, I prefer the ante option. My mother - bless her - NEVER plays Pair Plus in her first game and caused a massive uproar with trip 3's, a straight flush, trip K's and then, two deals later, another straight flush. One spectator almost was tearing his hair out saying could he put a pony on my mother's pair plus box!
KK7? Againts AA2 really? I don’t understand
7.50 thats not a flush that a pair of kings and the aces won ?
7:55 creepiest 30 seconds of that women’s life.
I respectfully disagree about the Pairs Side Bet and the 6 Card Combo being Sucker Bets....True, they don't hit often, but when they do, the Pay Out can be HUGE!...Just put $5 on both, no big deal....
at 7:48... how do you lose when your holding 2 A's & Dealer has 2 K's? uh ohhh
Always bet pairs plus. The sucker bet is the $1 max above or beside pairs plus box in some casinos.
Casinos want you to be pair plus because it tips the odds in their favor. Never take it.
Not playing pairs plus could be written in a book or could be said by a professional three card player witch I'm not a pro or author. I always play pairs plus and it's always been good to me. Lifetime I'm up in Vegas playing 3 card
Jason Garcia Well, it is good (and lucky) that it worked for you. To most people, it is a losing bet.
And when I play 3 card poker at casinos there is a pair plus bonus and a 6 card bonus didn't see either of those in this video those are the only real chances of winning anything that amounts to something just on the ante and the play bet you are not going to win nothing that amounts to anything
He talked about pair plus
So ur saying dont bet on pair plus just bet on ante and if u like the bet u obviously play
The dealer didn't shuffle the cards after the first hand. This would make for a very easy game.
When the lady had trip 4s you had a pair of aces which actually beat the dealer pair of kings
7:45 that guys look was like ' YOU %@&%%@##&% '
Except for how the cards are handled and the payouts . . . it can be a fun game but your luck has to be extraordiary as soon as you sit down.
2) True Odds vs Payout
Sf 460-1 40-1 . . . should pay at least 100
Trips 425-1 30-1 . . . should pay at least 80
Straight 30-1 6-1 . . . 10
Flush 20-1 4-1 . . . 8
Pair 6-1 1-1 . . . 2
Good Luck
He looks so pissed when he loses a pair of aces to a flush.
You can see the hate in hes eyes from the flush hahahah
Why did your pair of aces lose to a pair of kings?
when i play 3 card poker, i bet on pairs only...why?I do not have to beat the dealer and be all stressed out, such as that one hand where she lost because the dealer had a larger str8.I bet on pairs only , its idiot proof....and ur money, even though u may lose, lasts longer...i like to have a few cocktails and such and all i have to do is place a chip on the pair bet and the dealer does the rest.I have had much success this way too...
True..and you get your pair plus back if the dealer doesn't qualify.
How did he lose with 2 aces to her 2 Kings?
pair of As beats a pair of Ks there was no flush
At 7:46 the dealer did not have a flush! She had a pair of kings! Mike won the hand but she did not pay him! Lol
+Myles Kapson ok, you should stay away....
is it free bet bj or bj switch or bj challenge or bj plus? play freebet and switch, do not ever ever ever touch blackjack challenge and blackjack plus
Good Game
why he is teaching 3 card poker using blackjack table???Didn't anyone notice???
8:36 hahahaha
You people who want to give the casino a >7% house edge are loved by the casinos
lol you can tell a lot of the people in the comments are just blowing savings and inheritance and re-financing in casinos..
Dealer does NOT touch their cards until you bet.
he made her repeat the sidebet sucker bets lol
I won the most money paying pair plus and 6 card bonus.
I've never seen a 3 card poker table that doesn't have the pair plus
whoever stated the dealer had a flush better get a pair of glasses. She had two hearts and a diamond. where is the flush?
6:45: The blond lady is making him confused 😉
For a video, could at least use the right table for the game. And the side bets are only place you can win big at all.
Angela is such a babe
Guy is going to get this dealer fired😂😂
Normally good content from Michael, except here he is playing Three Card Poker on on Blackjack table ?
how come you didn't you get paid on your pair of aces vs a king?
+Steven Chung ...I agree. the dealer cheated, she verbally said...I have a flush and the "instructor" let her get away with that!
+Paulette Tull +Steven Chung ... It was a flush but the person editing the video thought the dealer had two kings but it was jack, king, seven of hearts
Did anyone else notice they are doing this at a Blackjack table? if you are going to talk about 3 card poker at least use a 3 card poker table..
+Justin Crompton they are in a training room at a casino using a basic table. Blackjack and carney games have essentially the same tables, it's just different layouts. They were probably doing several games back-to-back-to-back.........and rather than change the layout for each video, they just explain how the table would actually look and play as is.
I played cards for many years, I do not play cards any more, because the shufflers are not shuffling they are distributing the cards exactly where they want them to go, these games are fixed, they do pay between 30 and 35 thousand per machine, these games are 100% rigged... the only game they cant totally control is black jack, simply because they don’t know what the players will do, this is why there are so many blackjack tables, the casino averages a small win %
why didnt he eat the cards?!
I wonder why they had Angela on this video? I guess they wanted someone to watch it
The dealer did not have a flush she had a pair of kings his aces beat her They made a mistake when they took his money
SHE PULLS A STRAIGHT, I CANT PULL CRAP 💩 LOL 😂
Gta crew checking in
Not making the pair plus is stupid.. the example in vidio.. she had 3 of a kind..
I just went to casino played 3 card poker for first time i only bet on pairs plus and came home richer than when i left
I didn't know the Pair Plus was considered a side bet.
