I am not a good penalty taker in my team but in one official match we went to penalties and my turn came. A silence from my team it was 3-2 and we were losing. THE SCORE WAS 6-6 AND IF I SCORED WE WIN.I did panenka and it worked. I was the team's saviour. The final is at 2 weeks. Wish me luck

When my school had a tournament, my chances to win with my class teammates are ¼ because, yeah we had few good players but other classes team had more technical and skilled players. While me, as a more physical-centered player is recognized as a not that talented yet a hard worker player. When the quarter final, we had a real tension. Because my team were once loses to them 2-0 in August 2019 and by the way, we were playing the tournament in December 2019. And the match went 0-0 and boom a penalty, i asked to get the first kick because i'm not that good at penalty yet i'm a striker more like target man that just finished off the ball with first touch or header. And my teammate scores the PK and the other 2 guys that are my rival shots got missed. I was so happy because finally my team can go through the Semis and we have beaten them. Now to the semi final, well it was my time to shine. My teammate, Roger, he scores and yeah i thought we gonna end up 1-0. But eventually the rival scores and i got screwed up. In the ¾ time of the match, i've gave a real nice pass to Roger that he almost scores and damn, at the real LAST 1-2 SECOND, ROGER PASSES THE BALL TO ME AND I SLOTTED IT AWAY THROUGH THE KEEPER. AND I WAS LIKE, SIIIIIIIIUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Damn, i was so happy at that time, we celebrated it that we're going to the final. At the final, we all have the hope to win, where at the first goal, i scores. And a header chance came in, i scores. And an own goal that came from my teammate shot, Vincent. But suddenly, the rival almost made a comeback where they took advantage of my bad pass and boom, 3-1. And then another mistaken, boom 3-2. And at that moment my another teammates, Jeremy and Stephen were taunting them by switching the keeper to play as the defender and so on. That's what makes us loses quickly but thanfully Stephen that is a defender had a real nice save once tho, if not we're down 4-3. And then yea, the rival scores the equaliser where i was so stressed out. Then we all park the bus until the PK times arrived. Roger stepped up, he scores. Stephen stepped up, he scores. Well the riv got 1 in and 1 out. And then, that's my moment of PK. So many thoughts came into my mind. And when the referee blowed the whistle, i go fk off man i'm goin' all out. And boom, I SCORES AND WE WON THE GAMEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I WAS RUNNING AROUND THE FIELD AND CELEBRATES IT HARD WITH MY FRIENDS AND TEAMMATES. I'm so blessed and happy for that. I’m 15 and have just signed for a men’s team. I’ve taken penalties every season of my youth career and only missed once. I missed because I was not 100% confident, tired and indecisive. I’d say I’ve probably scored about 30-40 pens in my youth career, and my advice is to pick a spot as you are retrieving the ball to take the pen. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MIND! Just think about putting the ball on that spot, never think about missing or you will. Run up, don’t worry about the keeper, be confident that no matter where he/she goes you will score. Then strike the ball with about 80% power into that spot, hit it with purpose. And then you will score

@@ramoka4733 I think height can genuinely have a bit of a impact here. If the GK is on the shorter side, they are more likely to save low balls, but the higher ones will be more difficult for them, and vice versa.

At the youth/high school level (in the US, so certainly not the most competitive), I’d say that I could read where players were going about 70% of the time. It’s very difficult not to reveal your direction until the last possible moment. In my last penalty shoot out in school, I think I read 4/5 penalties. Got a hand to the 3rd one, couldn’t quite keep it out, but then saved the 5th. Really great feeling to win shootout as a keeper, I really need to find a new club to join.
Shooting bottom corner is probably the most underrated type of penalty. Always works for me, even if the goalkeeper dives the correct way it still goes in somehow.

My plan is looking at the keeper, his bodylanguage says it all. If he doesn't move I actually decide at the last moment in which bottom corner I drop it in. Also I find in a team always have a hierarchy in the team for the takers to avoid fights.

My simple technique Looks at the goal when you walk up, when waiting for the whistle don't look at the goal, you should know where it is, stand at an angle that's comfortable to shoot both side, choose a corner and when shooting pass it Into a corner, force the goalie to dive then choose the corner, it's hard but best way

As a goalkeeper, there is nothing more annoying and impossible to save other than well placed strong pass type shots to the bottom corner. People don't understand that certain area of the goalpost is not reachable in time even by the pros, and if you hit that spot, it is mathematically impossible to stop it.

I always look at one side of the goal so that the keeper thinks I’m going to shoot at the side I’m looking at but when I run up I place the penalty on the other side of the goal to trick the goalkeeper it always works for me... for now

If your a kid hit it with enough power but enough accuracy to get it in the bottom corner cuz kids usually don’t wanna dive that fast. By kid i mean at max age probably 13 or 12 but some kids will dive for it and i know this because im a goalie and it always works when I take penalties

My style is:
I step back 5 steps
First go slow 1-2 steps
And then sprint last 4-3 steps
But while I am sprinting i look in one direction and place foot like I will shot in that direction
Then in last second a change direction and SCORE

My simple technique
Looks at the goal when you walk up, when waiting for the whistle don't look at the goal, you should know where it is, stand at an angle that's comfortable to shoot both side, choose a corner and when shooting pass it Into a corner, force the goalie to dive then choose the corner, it's hard but best way
Why not just aim top corner?
@@thememaster7 honestly idk what i was trying to say here, not the pen taker but if you hit with plenty of force to either side you'll likely score, top corner can be risky and you often don't see many players going straight for the top corner

I used to always miss penalties bcoz I only cared about power then

As a goalkeeper, there is nothing more annoying and impossible to save other than well placed strong pass type shots to the bottom corner. People don't understand that certain area of the goalpost is not reachable in time even by the pros, and if you hit that spot, it is mathematically impossible to stop it.

I always look at one side of the goal so that the keeper thinks I’m going to shoot at the side I’m looking at but when I run up I place the penalty on the other side of the goal to trick the goalkeeper it always works for me... for now

If your a kid hit it with enough power but enough accuracy to get it in the bottom corner cuz kids usually don’t wanna dive that fast. By kid i mean at max age probably 13 or 12 but some kids will dive for it and i know this because im a goalie and it always works when I take penalties
