    I disagree with the part that you should master your strong foot First. If you start learning techniques with both feet you Kind of get a better understanding of what makes or breakes a shot. Also it will feel more natural

    • @KreiderAcademy
      @KreiderAcademy  Місяць тому

      I don’t think we really disagree! I didn’t mean to imply that you shouldn’t improve your weak foot. Generally, you should be developing both feet simultaneously.
      My point was that you can’t mimic good technique from your strong foot over to your weak foot if you don’t have it mastered yet on your strong foot. Otherwise you’re just copying inconsistent technique, if that makes sense. So if you’re trying to do the strong foot - weak foot approach, you need to master it with your strong foot first in order for it to work. You don’t have to use that approach to improve your weak foot, it is just a tool I’ve used to help me and others get significant improvements to their weak foot!
      Let me clarify what I meant when I said to master your strong foot first.
      When I was learning to shoot or ping (or whatever skill) I practiced with both feet. But since I’m right footed I focused more on my right foot and got it down quicker because it comes more naturally to my right foot. Then I started trying to mimic that technique over to my left foot which helped my left foot get it down quicker. I hope that makes sense!

    With weak foot for me height and power isn't an issue, nor accuracy, I'll bang it top corner half court any day, the issue is I want to learn more advanced shots on my weak foot, like the trivella, and an ATW on my weak foot would be nice, I'm 13 as of the moment so I am aware I am very far advanced and have nothing to worry about, but you could always be better :)

    • @KreiderAcademy
      @KreiderAcademy  26 днів тому

      That’s awesome!! I used to be in the same spot. I spent 5-10 minutes daily on juggling tricks so now I can reliably do ATW with my weak foot. If you can do it with your strong foot already you’ll be amazed how quickly you’ll get in down with your weak foot! Best of luck😁💪🏼💪🏼

      @@KreiderAcademy Thx,how abt trivellas w/ my weak foot?

    • @KreiderAcademy
      @KreiderAcademy  24 дні тому

      @@sah9867 for me it’s not something I’d ever work on just because I’d always do a curler with my strong foot instead. Like you want that curl of the trivela, but it would be more comfortable and consistent to just do a curler with my strong foot..
      So honestly it’s something I’ve never focused on! If it’s something you want to develop and implement into your game though then go for it! My advice would be to master the trivela with your strong foot first, then do the strong foot -> weak foot method to master it with your left!
      I hope this helps😁🫶🏼

    • @KreiderAcademy
      @KreiderAcademy  Місяць тому +1

      It totally is! It can be very tricky to learn but that’s just like with any skill for your weak foot. It just feels unnatural at the beginning…
      My advice is to do the Left Foot only session I gave you every week. But if you really want to work on dribbling and skill moves, then use the 15 minutes (to work on any skill) specifically for your weak foot dribbling and skills!
      This should really make a difference in your ability in a few months! Let me know how you progress😁💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

    • @KreiderAcademy

      Sounds to me like you’re just a bit rusty on speed of play. It’s natural as you get back into games. There’s more pressure and you’re forced to do everything a bit quicker! Don’t worry! @KreiderAcademy  Місяць тому

      Fantastic comment. I agree 100%. That’s why I recommend doing this with training on your own or with some friends. Doing it in team training would be so difficult.
      Even on your own it can be difficult mentally. Like you said, shooting with your strong foot feels amazing because you score bangers but then your weak foot makes you upset since it’s not as good…
      This held me back for too long… Just push through it and then your weak foot will start improving and then it becomes way easier to prioritize it!!

    • @KreiderAcademy
      @KreiderAcademy  Місяць тому +3

      Absolutely! Firstly good luck! Here’s a couple of things to keep in mind while you’re on trial.
      Here’s a way to approach it mentally. You know you’re a talented player. You belong on this team and you’re there to help the team. So relax and let your play speak for itself. Obviously don’t be arrogant about it, but hold yourself in high confidence with everything you do because you should be there.
      As for the playing side… Play to your strengths, whatever they may be. Don’t try things that are outside of your skill set. For example, if you’re a defensive mid, don’t feel the need to dribble past players and score a long shot. Play to your strengths! Trying things at a trial that you wouldn’t normally can cause you to make mistakes, which can kill your confidence, and then actually kill your performance levels.
      I hope this helps and good luck! I know you’ll crush it😁💪🏼

      Depends on the situation and your goal with the ball! If the defender is towards goal, then dribble towards him as opposed to down the line because then they force you away from goal more easily. If they are recovering from out wide, and you have a path toward goal then attack the space!

      I am 23 years old and I am a professional indoor soccer player, however I have not stepped up to the pro game in outdoor. I am working to do so in the next year or so. I’ve played collegiate soccer for the last five years and I have played semi-professionally for the last four years.
      I’m not a pro coach either yet. One day I’d love to be but I have a lot of my own playing career to go through first!
      I am a collegiate, division 2 assistant coach have been an assistant coach at my local high school for the last two seasons. I also coach club/travel soccer.
      I’ve ran individual and small group training sessions for years for young, aspiring players as well as my peers.

    How do i go pro what are the skills i need to learn
    Is it important to learn extra skills like Rainbow stepover elastico

    • @KreiderAcademy
      @KreiderAcademy  7 днів тому

      There’s a lot of things that are needed to become a pro.
      You need to have excellent technical ability. Be very comfortable on the ball.
      You need to be excellent in all of these: dribbling, passing, crossing, shooting, defending, athleticism, ball control & first touch. But it differs on positions. Strikers need to be excellent finishers, whereas it isn’t important for center backs. Center backs need to be excellent defenders, whereas it isn’t as important for strikers..
      My advice for beginners. Master the basics. Dribbling in tight areas, dribbling at max speed, short passing, first touch, long pings, and defending.
      Then you need to learn as much as you can tactically. How to defend as a team, attacking patterns of play. How to scan and be aware of your surroundings. Learn how what makes one decision better than the other options, etc.
      Extra skills are not important at all. Learn 2 or 3 simple moves that are effective (not flashy). It’s way easier to mess up an elastico or a rainbow than it is to mess up a body feint or step over. I hope this helps and good luck on your playing journey😁🫶🏼

      @KreiderAcademy  Місяць тому +2

      There’s different approaches to every facet of training. From my experience, improving technique is far more important than focusing on strength and power. I’ve always been a strong player, but my left footed shots and pings had no power until I learned how to strike it properly with my weak foot. This made it possible for my strength to actually make an impact on my performance.
      I do agree with you that power and strength is important! But who’s to say you can’t do strength training, plyometrics, and technical training to develop your weak foot (and overall game) simultaneously? That is how professionals with access to top class fitness coaches, nutritionists, and facilities would approach it.
      I’ve been fortunate to have access to things like a gym, but some viewers may not so I try my best to give advice that can help everyone. I hope that makes sense and that’s my perspective on it! I appreciate you voicing a different perspective though! Sharing our knowledge and experiences is how we all grow together😁💪🏼

Strengthening, meaning developing it so it feels natural for anything that you do. Like supporting you to turn and change direction, not burning out too easily, it’s connected to your brain, like you can feel and command it at will. I hope that makes some sense.
      Some people that have naturally developed those things with their weak foot/leg may benefit less from it. But, I have improved a lot from strengthening my weak foot then practicing soccer improved
