After attempting to inflate my Vango Montelena 400 air awning with the hand pump, I clearly haven't achieved the correct PSi of 7. (I'm a 55 year old woman with weak arms!) What didn't help with the hand pump was I could hear air escaping from the inlet as I was inflating it, and it kept jumping out of the socket despite twisting it into place. So annoying. So I have ordered the Vango AirBeam Zephyr Pump hopefully the nozzle will stay in place. I'm on site at the moment, and due to the air beams not being inflated well, the rain sits on the roof and I have to push it off by hand from inside. Mike if you have any tips on how to correctly insert the nozzle into the socket it would be greatly appreciated, thank you
@@tonygolfnut1326 if you have a look at the Vango Turbo Pump, then there is a deflate function on that pump but it depends on the valve on your tent it airbed to whether you’ll be able to use it.

Sometimes happens when the tube is twisted before you insert it into the fitting. Make sure it's straight and unwound before inserting it.
Can you use the pump in reverse to deflate the tubes?
You can’t unfortunately as there isn’t a deflate mode. Sorry.
@AttwoollsCoUk ok no probs, some of them have a reverse option which is great for quickly deflating airbeds etc. Thanks anyway 👍

That nozzle pipe doesn't look 5m unless you have very long arms
The 12V lead is 5m and then you have a 2m hose on the pump so there should be plenty of length.
