You should watch the K-12 movie so it'll explain why they tore the guy apart AKA the principal. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'm just going to say, that he was not a nice person.

the rabbits represent her childhood pet bunny, she got a puppy and she had to choose between her bunny or her puppy so she chose the puppy and gave her bunny to her friend. soon after her bunny’s head was found in her friend’s neighbours garden. She also has a bunny tattoo.

In “Drama club” I felt it had something to do with people just putting you into their lives/drama

Yup, she is definitely directing that to celebrities and the internet. People try to put other people on the internet specially into ridiculous drama and that’s called cancel culture. For some reason when someone does something that is really bad not a lot of people care but when it’s something that has no reason to get hate that’s when people start to become more involved. Perfect example is when Jimmy Fallon invited Ru Paul to his show . When Jimmy said Ru was the first drag queen to be on the cover of a magazine ( can’t remember which one) Ru says “ a drag Queen ? A DRAG QUEEN ?” You can see the look on Jimmy’s face he thought he hadn’t educated Himself and that the whole internet was gonna cancel him. Then Ru say “ I’m the Queen of Drag!” You can see Jimmy’s relief in that moment. The following week a video clip on Twitter had gone viral about that specific clip on the show he reacted to it by saying that he thought it was gonna be over for him and that he thought after 10 years of being in the entertainment world in was all gonna be gone . He even joked saying that after the episode aired he was gonna go on Twitter and start a #jimmyfallonisoverparty. That is what Melanie is trying to say that it’s stupid that people try to accuse and hate on stupid things celebrities or anyone who is in the limelight for no reason and you don’t even know who that person is because they are “ wearing a mask “ meaning you can’t really see them physically.

Not really. I’ll explain. The bunny, the duck, the bear, and the cat are all displayed as friends who’d do anything for her or with her. That’s why they’re always doing anything based off her videos. As in mrs potato head she asked for it. So her friend the “bunny” helped. She explained it in a interview

@Almendra González i love both, i feel like k-12 has more world problems put into it though like show & tell was melanies fans treating her like sh*t the principal was about how melanie disliked trump teachers pet was about r*pe detention was about being in a state of loneliness recess is about depression, etc. Crybaby was about more like kidnapping, being in and out of relationships and messed up “perfect” families, being insecure and learning how to love yourself. Both albums are amazing though and i respect your opinion :)

also, the meaning behind show and tell is Melanie trying to reach out to her fans by saying: "Stop doing stuff that involves me without my permission." She is trying to tell them that they are being controlling and that she feels that she has no free will because of what the fans want. She is also trying to say: "Stop treating me like a queen because we are the same." and that she is working so hard but almost nobody seems to appreciate it.
In other words, Mathew was right.
When I say the fans, I mean the majority of people who listen to Melanie.

You should watch the movie so u know why the people are doing so “weird”. Movie name: K-12
If you watch the full movie, the cut scene before drama club has to do with men thinking they have a power over women or think they are greater. Drama club, both the video and the song sort of plays with that fact. Also the person they are ripping apart is the principal who has been brainwashing everyone attending the school. I strongly recommend you do a part 3 and react to Detention, Copy Cat, Teachers Pet, and The Principal. (possibly class fight) I do recommend Detention and Teachers Pet if you are looking for a good beat. Also I recommend just listening to two of her old songs, Dead To Me and Gingerbread Man, they are very interesting songs as well. Soon Melanie will be coming out with a EP of 7 songs which will include Copy Cat, and the end credit to K-12 which is called Fire Drill. I think that once that comes out you should listen to it and pick a few to react to as well. Another thing would be her song Play Date, which recently blew up on tik tok. This song only has a recently released lyric video, but she says there is a video in the makes. Hope this helped!

Tbh u don't have to watch the movie to understand. As u can tell from the video he can clearly and correctly analyse and breakdown the song with watching the movie! Because each song focuses on a different topic so there is actually easy to understand. However, if u wanna wanna enjoy the aesthetics and are willing to analyse the movie, it will be good!

The rabbit is representing a rabbit she had when she was a kid. She wanted a dog so her parents said either the dog or the rabbit so melanie chose the dog. Then gave the rabbit to the nextdoor neighbors who had another rabbit. One day the other rabbit killed Melanie's and melanie found the head of her bunny in her backyard. She even has a tattoo of the bunny with a knife under it.

ok so basically, k-12 is a movie about this school that feeds the kids pills so that they can control them, Melanie (aka crybaby) and her friend Angelita have these powers that prevent them from getting controlled. in the MV 'drama club' we see her awakening the students from the pills power and freeing them. we also see them rushing to kill the principal. they do this for all the horrid things he has done to them, including feeding them the pills.
by the way, there is way more stuff in this movie these are just the basics :)

Hey, same here! im 14 now and my spots started to appear when I was 12, like you. I suggest washing your face in the morning and at night with warm water and soap and putting on moisturiser after. My spots didn't leave but it stopped itching. REMEMBER: you are beautiful no matter what anyone says. :D

I think a good rule for listening to Melanie, is you’re NEVER reading too much into the message. Almost EVERY single song has more than one meaning, and almost all of those have a incredibly deep and complex message.
Before Melanie started making albums she wrote and sung two songs : Dear Porcupine and A Million Men, i reccomend you check them out cause they’re really good

Orange juice is about a serious issue with eating disorders. Girls wanting to be skinnier to the point they put their self into huge dangers.
‘Pain is Beauty’ Bulimia is painfully due to your stomach acids breaking down and harming your body inside out. Ms potato head, the surgeries can fail and break down on you and cause pain to you and sometimes your self esteem due to hating yourself.

People have never understood my love for her music and I'm really happy to find someone who understands what her music means to me.

ok, here's my take on this:
Melanie Martinez likes things that have that 50s-60s vibe. She likes the toys and the way everything looks.
K-12 is about her original character Cry Baby. Cry Baby was actually what all of her songs are about, its a side of her that she likes to talk about and express her feelings through.
The Rabbit doctor is actually the doctor who helped Cry Baby's mom deliver her in the song "CryBaby". You notice the Rabbit doctor in others songs. He makes an appearance in Mad Hatter, and Mrs. Potato head. He symbolizes her first pet. Which believe it or not, she has a tattoo of.
She likes to make her songs about touchy subjects that not many other artist like to. In her song Dollhouse, you have already guessed it, she talks about living in an abusive home and keeping the "Perfect Family Image". In the song Tag You're it, she talks about being kidnapped. And you already know about Mrs. Potato Head. In K-12, most of the songs talk about going through puberty and what girls have to deal with. Some of the ones that hit hard for me are Strawberry Shortcake, Orange Juice, Nurses Office, and Lunchbox friends.In Strawberry Shortcake, she talks about being a girl going through puberty and it kind of goes along with the Mrs. Potato Head theme of having to change for people. In Orange Juice, she talks about eating disorders like Bulimia and how people and usually girls think they are too fat for other people to like. She also says how she wishes she could give people "her set of eyes" and show them how perfect they already are. In Teachers Pet, she talks about student-teacher relationships and how bad they can get. She uses the words "do you regret, the things we shared that i'll never forget", "i know i'm young, but my mind is well beyond my years", and "if i pass this test, will you give me your babies" to explain the theme/message in the song. And in the song Lunchbox Friends she talks about being used and being friends with toxic people.
As you can tell i love Melanie and have done my research for this comment. Sorry for wasting anyone's time but i just wanted to explain the story behind Melanie and her music.
