I'll agree that Sagrada is a modern classic. 6 years into the hobby, I'll report that this is one of the first games we bought, and it's still a good one to show to new players at game night out, and still always enjoyed at home.
Sounds like you had a great getaway minus those princess and the pea metal chairs. And great tips for the upcoming holiday. I'll be home with a slew of in-laws all staying here so we will see what, if any, games get played. Those double layer player boards make playing the physical game so much easier! I'm very clumsy so one wrong move with the base player boards and all of my resources end up in a one big pile of confusion. They're a life saver! You might be able to upgrade to metal money cubes (bronze, silver, and gold) because those don't have to fit in the double layer squares. Only your colored player cubes go there. If you wanted to upgrade those then you may have to do some very careful measuring.
Welcome back! 🎉 nice video and it sounds like you had a lovely break 😊 shame about the stabby chairs though 😅 A nice collection of games you took with you 😊 the Cartographers mini-expansions look cool, we’ll have to try and get our hands on those!
The Cartographers min-expansions are a nice way to inject something new into the game: the Skills expansions add something totally new, but the other mini-expansions just add more cards of types you already have, like Ambushes😁 The Architects mini-expansion has an Ambush, a Hero, a terrain, & a goal card!
@JeremyJohnsonmcmxcAD I already have it! It's one if the first mini-expansions I got after I got Heroes. I think the only mini-expansion I don't have is the second Ambush pack.
Welcome back!! ☺

We're late to the party, having only gotten Sagrada and Azul recently. I feel like we have a lot of catching up to do!😆

I'm surprised you didn't buy the mini heroes expansion.
