And I’m afraid that I will never live long enough to see real change.

What I do expect is to see him charged, tried, convicted, and sentenced in a manner that's not a joke ( though what would qualify given the severity of his criminality and treason I'm not sure) and to see him publicly shamed and ruined with his base so that it's an effective blow against fascism, and so thar he's legally barred from seeking or holding any political or military office in the United States of America.

All of the prosecutors investigating Trump are clearly better litigators than his lawyers. And Tish James, though not handling a criminal case, presents an existential threat to his financial empire.
But the one person who Trump should be absolutely terrified of is Jack Smith.
Since his appointment as special prosecutor, he has cut through Trump’s bullshit legal arguments like Sherman went through Georgia.
He may have set some kind of record for convincing judges to force Trump’s lawyers to testify under the crime-fraud exception.
And last week he got Mike Pence to testify in front of a grand jury.
I suspect that when Smith finally pulls the trigger, people are going to be shocked by all the charges that are brought. And since there are a lot of other people who might be targets, the possibility that they will flip on him may completely undermine any potential defense Trump’s lawyers might raise.
How many of those self righteous Republican operatives are going to be willing to go to prison to save Trump? What would all their friends at the country club would think?
