Hi pal. Sorry to hear the tm is in the shop. Portables have came along way as you probably know and that portable could do with a vacuum upgrade to 2 x 6.6 lambs. It sounds like it has 2x 5.7 motors. When I have to use my portable it’s either on the van or at the door outside the home. It obviously saves the lifting. I know it’s only temporary but it will make a huge difference to the dry times and lugging around. Great video👍🏻
@@hittyman4023 unfortunately Rotovac only manufacturers them with a 500 psi or 220 psi pump, so you would have to use a water otter to run a spinner tool. If youve got the dual 2 stage, its most likely around 95 cfm, these units usually made with vacs in series which limits the CFM, the newer rotovac monsoon or mytee breeze is closer to 225 cfm as they are in parallel
Just an anecdote from owning/operating LX, Rotovac, Mytee: Actually one of the really unique things about LX Mytee Vacs, and Monsoon Rotovac motors is their Single stage motors and are in fact placed in Series not Parallel. This vac arrangement for both Monsoon and Mytee is optimized for keeping the auto dump running smoothly/keeping up. To have dry carpets (lift) and power at the wand the standard to aim is 12.5" mercury and 250cfm which can allow a functional 100' of 2" hose. Is there a hose attachment for the portable that allows you to keep it outside or in the van? Or would a hose that long affect the suction? Thanks
Hey! I've been watching your videos for a while now and would love to learn the trade. I live here in OC and would love to come work for you!
You want to look for water lift not CFM. CFM is essentially how long you can run your hoses, water lift is how much suction your machine will produce.
