  • Ray Kroc: Now, I know what you're thinkin'. How the hell does a 52 year old, over-the-hill milkshake machine salesman... build a fastfood empire with 16,000 restaurants, in 50 states, in 5 foreign countries... wtih an annual revenue of in the neighborhood of $700,000,000.00... One word... PERSISTENCE. Nothing in this world can take the place of good old persistence. Talent won't. Nothing's more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius won't. Unrecognized genius is practically a clich. Education won't. Why the world is full of educated fools. Persistence and determination alone are all powerful.

      YES!! I was "stuck" in a bad place in my life for almost 5 years. I remember watching this one evening and cried the entire time realizing the problem with my life was ME. I had gave up, my persistence was gone, unmotivated, and no determination. That was 4 months ago and I'm so happy to say this movie along with my friends and family helped me get back to who I have always been! How? Persistence.....

      If you really look at the film. Everybody got what they said they wanted. Ray just KNEW what he WANTED. For example the brothers wanted to stay small, His wife was tired of him(some would say for good reason). It is worth mentioning that, in the movie at least, he asked for 2.5% raise, then dropped another.05%.

      Sorry, but the central tenet of this movie is a lie. Kroc was never the main anagonist of the McDonald's brothers who engineered a takeover of their life's work....and Sonnenborn was only his connection to the major players, albeit an important one. Do you really believe the BS in the movie about Kroc "having the banks in the palm of his hands"? Do you honestly think a single man with a few thousands of dollars to his name is the "Bag man" There's no persistence when you're backed by a lending bank with an infinite amount of capital, vs a pair of small-business brothers. McDonalds was NOT "bought" or "stolen" by Kroc, or even Sonneborn. The lending arm of he Federal reserve, specifically their board of directors engineered the "steamrolling" of the McDonald's brothers, taking the brothers' namesake and their life's work...today, that lending arm has branched out into multiple arms...one of which is called "Cass Commercial Bank", and still has a Franchise lending arm that caters to McDonalds. Needless to say, its board of Directors, President etc, are almost entirely Orthodox Jews. This kind of thing has been happening since before the charter of the Federal Reserve....one of the most famous ones being their successful takeover of one of Walt Disney's character rights....sure, they blamed it all on Charles Mintz, but Mintz was simply one part of a much larger machine of currency-manipualted theft (and they own Disney studios now, anyway. Walt is turning in his grave). Once again, it takes ZERO persistence or intelligence to print yourselves money, give it to yourselves or your craven lackeys, and buy other people's work...nobody can compete against an infinite money supply, account-driven or otherwise. It's one of the only reasons tight family controlled-businesses have a chance of surviving because most open organizations have a potentnial mole like Kroc or Mintz, ready to sell out their people to these parasites. Again, the central tenet of the movie, "The Founder" is a lie....everybody who's been part of the business community knows it....Kroc was never the main antagonist, let alone the engineer swindling the McDonald's brothers. But ofc, Hollywood would NEVER make their villains Jewish aristocrats.

      This outcome is very similar to Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Except that the McDonald Brothers were handsomely compensated for their loss. The truth is, this is what happens when a creator or business owner invites an outside investor to fund his/her goals, as opposed to taking all the risks with their own Cashola. The Brothers had a dream but they never did the necessary leg work. Nor did they put their dicks up when they had the chance.
      Oh well. At least “Spawn” creator Todd McFarlane was ambitious and business minded enough to not make that same mistake.

    This movie had the typical Hollywood anti-corporate, anti-capitalist slant but the fact of the matter is Ray Kroc was a genius who had the ambition to expand while the McDonald bothers would have been content with their single location. They were brilliant at developing the fast food concept but didn't seem to be receptive to change and working with others to transition into a franchise business model. If Kroc hadn't gotten involved McDonalds probably wouldn't have grown into the incredibly successful company it is today.

    One of my favorite quotes ever. Did the movie give any credit to Calvin Coolidge for this? Ray Kroc didn't say it, President Coolidge did.

      In the movie Ray Kroc heard that quote from a motivational audio. The movie use this quote to reflect that Ray Kroc was able to build an empire with persistence.

      Ray Kroc took credit for founding McDonald's and a lot of things in his live that were not his. Why would he not steal a quote to?

    • @JV22ism
      @JV22ism 2 роки тому

      @@jeremybeau8334 you can say he stole it, he didnt actually. He improved it but since the mcdonalda brothers were unwilling to get rich with him, he decided to get rid of them and not be held back.

      Roy Croc is burning in hell b/c he was an Evil Man who stole the idea of McDonald from the McDonald Brothers who trusted him and showed him the Business. There is absolutely Nothing about him to admire! He was a "Robber Baron Capitalist." He later divorced his loyal 1st wife in order to marry the woman franchise investor that he was having an affair. Roy Croc was a low class man that no one should admire what so ever!!

      They had a good idea, but they weren't growth minded. They were just worried about their restaurant. If they had agreed with Ray Crock to grow the franchise, they would've been at the top as well. They only got in his way.
