My last skyrim load order had about 306 plugins at about 4.9gbs. It was borderline stable. The mod by tommas666 that diagnoses possible problems said I was within the "safe" range of esp's and esm's. Although I could be considered a veteran and had put a huge load order which remained functional for the most part, I had never sit to write it down, and at one point my mods got jumbled up in the load order and I lost my will to live. So Im doing just that now, cataloging every mod by file size first, then organizing a load order, and making a checklist of about 40 problematic aspects of the game I need to playtest before I commit to a new playthrough. Its probably about a year since I dropped Skyrim and I have no idea how far modding on xbox has progressed since then.
Always a good idea to keep track. I think that puts a lot of people off but when you have a record. Then it's easy if you need to wipe the Reserved space. Definitely a lot more mods on Xbox than a year ago. When I made this video, I was amazed at how many more there were in 6-7 months. I might still jump on from time to time to see what's new. Eyeing up Kinggath's Bard College expansion too.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger the big issue with skyrim on consoles has been script bloat, which became more apparent after they lift the cap for downloads. When you add many mods with new mechanics the game starts to act up. In my case every few hours some npcs could stop showing some options for renting inns, bartering or giving radiant quests, and this was usually fixed by exiting the game and loading. On pc these issues are apparently solved with the script extender. Now, while Skyrim has probably the most advanced and complex mods of all beth games, its also one of the trickiest to diagnose. (Carriages kept glitching out, the Imperial soldier lady kept dying, sometimes Lokir wouldn't run and get shot by the arrows as is supposed to happen, and the Stormcloak Soldier would just stand there with no one to execute him.) Then I also downloaded "Alternate Start - Live Another Life" and put it at the very bottom of the load order because, quite honestly, I'd really rather not be stuck with the vanilla start to begin with tbh. I'd rather start in the house in Solitude.
Based on my experience with M&B 2.0 causing issues at the start of the game (for me) I think it *MIGHT* be conflicting with 1 or more of these other mods you have downloaded here. Just a heads up.
@@isaachostetler9794 I don't see how that would cause those issues since the mod relates to the player only. But glad removing that worked out for ya 👍 Can't say I've had that experience.

@@johnappleseed7790 yea I saw that. I haven’t had any issues. There’s several versions of Realistic Water Two but I’ve always used that one and haven’t run into issues.
Hey do I need alternate start for this load order?
@@philliprobertson972 if you want to use it. I’ve never heard of that being a requirement.
Just wondering because i haven't played skyrim since july of 2023. Is this load order compatible with anniversary edition items? Because i remember back then you had to get mods that were compatible and that you also had to download them separately. Just curious is all.
@@D3M0NG0G1 yea except for the SWF shield on back. That one, you need to have all anniversary edition content installed to use the AE version. If you only install some, use SE. I only have about half the AE things installed so that’s why I’m using that version.
@@D3M0NG0G1 there’s a patch for mysticism and realistic waters 2 if you want to play with AE
Can anyone verify if this is stable on the Xbox One? Or if there are alterations to make it stable?
All mods are made for Xbox One so there shouldn't be much, if any difference. As with anything, install what you would like to use and see how everything works. I don't recommend installing other people's list verbatim. I've used most of these when I had my Xbox One S if that helps 👍
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Awesome! Thank you so much!
Why does it matter which order there in?
@@TheMonsterYak Load order is a way to have a bunch of mods working together with minimal to no issues. Since mods are made by many different people, there can be quirks when it comes to working with other mods.
Think of it like a sandwich. You can’t have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without putting the bread first or you’ll make a mess. There’s not necessarily one way to make a load order but a general structure is always smart. Mine isn’t perfect and it might not work well for others but I get to have my sandwich 👍
@@Matt_the_TechRanger thanks, love the sandwich example lol
Does this work on xbox one x
Mileage can vary but all mods are made/ported for Xbox One.
@Matt_the_TechRanger never mind I downloaded the load order and it works perfectly no crashes I have been play it for 5 hours no crash I love it Thxxxx
@@Matt_the_TechRanger where should I put the cheat room mod?
@@Dragonborn2268 probably towards the bottom. Can vary per cheat mod. I don’t use them so I haven’t tried it. If there are instructions in the mod descriptions then I’d go for that.
