Sorry, but going to be first one. I must say as person who is quite into nordic legends and stories I was looking so much forward to enjoy it, but sadly I couldn't. It's probably that melodic death metal part with lyrics you just can't fuckin hear through first 2 songs, cause guy mixing the songs fucked up this job overpowering background. Sadly typical for this genre. Also I tried harder and went through whole CD, just randomly picking multiple places sounds so much the same..As as person who is listening to metal for over 12 years I must say, this hurts. Lack of orginal thought and work on riff. It's literally every power metal other album that makes similar sound. Add death to it and it's exacly same. I then try to pick same idea of filtering on folk music in same genre..nobody sounds the same. Every author sounds different. Fuck. Maybe this is caused by fact I'm tryin to explore more and more potencial artists in metal, but amounts of bands that don't try to create their own original sound is just disturbing.

Mine was sadly only true, and as typical metalhead I would normally not write shit like this, but it was how I felt at the time after really trying hard to like that CD. I was just recently on great concerts - Kat, Acid Drinkers and Vader and on the other day Behemoth with Whoredom Rife and In Twilight’s Embrace. You can't go wrong with those.

If you don't like melodeath, don't explain that it is shit ! If there is really a lot of similar bands, show me it !
