Really really cool I love this video I am 23 years old and I bought a house and it has a 30 year old pear tree. Trying to find things to do with them! Your so cool and love the country life much respect
Congrats on your home purchase. How nice that you have a producing pear tree. 🍐 I love foraging for edibles in the forest surrounding my home. I have a video on wild muscadine jam that you might be interested in, and I have others that I will be posting in the near future. Thanks so much for watching!
It's so beautiful when others can actually feel the glory and love of the Lord radiate through His people.. I felt it from you. Thank the Lord for true godly men and women all over the world .
Thank you! I inherited this home from my parents when they passed away. It is the home that I grew up in. The kitchen style and color, (harvest gold), is from the 70's and I love it. As a young girl I learned to cook in this kitchen so I feel right at home.
I have been looking for how to do with my pears and come across your video i just had to take down all my pears due to all these critters love your simple easy ways of video do you really need to canning, what if after i boil and just put it in the bottle will that get rotten? Thanks for sharing! Love your channel Subscribed! Full watched Have a geat day!
I loved your video. I have never done preserves, but I wanted to try. My husband’s grandmother made preserves, and he loved it. I’m going to give it a try. My pears are kind of “ripe”. Will that make a difference? Thank you!
Thank you for watching Angenell. Yes, it will make a difference in the flavor if your pears are not ripe. You can let them sit out on you counter for a few days. That should help them to ripen. That's what I had to do with mine because the squirrels and raccoons were eating mine.
I canned pears from my pear tree yesterday. I put the left over syrup in jars and canned it too. I’m planning on pouring some of it over a Buttermilk hoecake. I just wonder how you know when it’s time to put the pears in the jars.
I am making pear preserves, pear syrup, and pear juice right now. I'm not sure if your question is about pear preserves or actually canning pears. I have never canned pears before, but for preserves you cook them down to your desired thickness. And keep in mind that as they cool they will become a thicker consistency than when they are hot.

I just got home from a trip to New Mexico and while I was gone the wild life ate all my pears this year. I am so bummed.
I love your vintage stoves. And they still work ❤️

Good to hear from you. If you don't want to can your pear preserves after cooking them just put them in jars and store in the fridge.
Love pear syrup best on pancakes and waffles
Thanks Lillian. I'll have to try it. 😊
Looks delicious. Thanks for the shout out.

Did you drain the water out of the pears as you were simmering them to soften them up before adding the sugar
Yes.
