Actually, both in Genie, Without You, and ONE(Lucid Dream) JC and Y got the most lines since it has so many high notes (If im not mistaken ONE has the C5/D5 note which is really high for men). And thats why the song requires advanced technique that only the main vocal often has. Though I think Jibeom might can do it as well but as you've said live performance is one of the factor too. (This is only my opinion hehe)

Donghyun has perfect pitch and used to be a main vocal, but since puberty, he went from a main vocal to sub vocal because his voice changed. Lead vocalists help set the key and tone to help guide the others through the song and need to be just as stable if not more so, but that doesn't necessarily mean they have to have many lines. Main vocalists are the singers with the highest range. Because a lot of their songs are in such a higher range, usually Y and JC tend to get more lines. But note that many factors go into a line distribution that's not solely based on their position in the group or vocal stability because they're all exceptional singers for the amount of choreography they perform, and there are times when Y and JC often take functional breaks in the choreo in order to conserve energy when hitting a high note.

While I agree that the distribution could've been better, to be fair, the song is very vocal heavy, thus giving the lines to the members who are most apt is reasonable. It's because Joochan and Y got the most lines that the song is more impactful. Also, considering how Bomin is the busiest member, it's somewhat reasonable that he got the least lines (he also did get the most screen time in the mv). They all got an appropriate amount of lines in the bsides, too. Even if you agree or not, in the end, what matters is that they're back! It could have been like that, but it all comes down to the music producer's decision. A producer sometimes try to make a fair line distribution but they usually find whose voice fits some certain part of the song, and sometimes producers are really strict on how their song will be delivered.
honestly not the most equal line distribution ive seen but the lines were probably given to those who can sing them the best, and they definitely delivered. joochan and y's voice suits the songs perfectly, and jaehyun finally got a decent amount of lines. bomin might have only a few seconds but you can clearly see him in the mv and he stands out every performance.

Not being biased or anything coz Bomin is my bias but can he please get more lines? His voice is unique and doesn't lack in any way from what I see. I've seen him in a few comebacks and I always notice that he barely gets any lines, or should I say the least amount of lines. If he wasn't good looking I can't imagine the amount of screen time he gets overall.

I somehow think woollim kinda overusing sungyoon in this comeback. I'm not merely talking about the lines but when combined with the performance & choreography it seemed a bit burdening to him. He didnt even get to rest a bit during their stage performance, he even did the tough break dance and need to hit all those high notes at the same time. I know he is athletic and seemed fit but hearing him saying he once didnt get out of bed for 6 days straight after their promotion ends because of exhaustion really worries me...

My bias is Joochan but I think he and Y got a bit too many lines. Some parts could have been distrubuted better cause the lead vocalists are able to sing well too. I feel a bit sad about the other members, idk it isn't really fair, for example half of Jaehyun's parts are "yea yea yea", Bomin has 2 lines and Daeyeol doesn't have many lines and screen time... Lmao I hope the next cb is better... 26% vs 3% is a really big gap. Anyway this song is amazing and lowkey saved 2020 🥴✌

Not being biased or anything coz Bomin is my bias but can he please get more lines? His voice is unique and doesn't lack in any way from what I see. I've seen him in a few comebacks and I always notice that he barely gets any lines, or should I say the least amount of lines. If he wasn't good looking I can't imagine the amount of screen time he gets overall.
