- DRAMATIC footage captures the moment a Ukrainian drone drops a bomb on a Russian tank, sparking a huge fireball. The video, reportedly filmed in the Mykolaiv region of southern Ukraine, shows in crystal-clear quality the improvised explosive land a direct hit on a Russian T-72 tank.

Russia will fall as Soviet did in 1991
Glory to Ukraine, with love from Sweden. 💙💛
The Archers shall come and some Excaliburs too.
I do like the Archers. I think surreptitiously deploying Brian Aldridge and Eddie Grundy behind enemy lines could sort things out quicker.
Your presentation is much clearer than those of other channels showing battlefield video. I appreciate that.
Because it's a UA-cam video not battlefield video
Very much agree. Came to make such a comment
The "smart" Orcs have learned to park their vehicles under trees but then make a camp some distance away. They know it is just a matter of time until a drone finds the vehicle and their best chance of survival is not to be in it or even near it.
Learned that the US Army 40 years ago.
@@richsackett3423 much easier to hide a tank 40yrs ago, no drones no high resolution thermal imaging
Then they make a fire to cook their food and WOOOPMPPPHHH a drone fries them as well do they not know NOT to make fires in a target zone??
They'd do better if they learned how to build overhead cover on their fighting positions. I'm guessing these guys get stuck out on a "Defensive Line" with the guys to their left and right far, far away. No radios, or if they have them they dare not key the mike. As a result, no "Lessons Learned" and no NCO's to teach them. Oh, well. If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
Fuck yeah let's go Ukraine!
Fuk ya!!!
awesome!! Slava Ukraini!
No squirrels were harmed in the making of this video.
Beautiful footage
You forgot to show the "enormous fireball".
Perfect accuracy not dropping it on the deflection cage you see on top of turret. UKRAINE STRONG!!
Defense~ outstanding uploading~
Very clever of the Russians to design their tanks so the turret will fly off in the event of an ammo explosion. That may allow them to take out some of these drones which would be directly above in the event of a critical hit.
Tank armor has always been thickest in the front and sides because until now the least risk was from above. So now thousand dollar drones are mopping the floor with million dollar tanks.
Ehhh, pretty sure airplanes and missles have been taking them out from above for quite awhile now...
My mom taught me to always close the door behind me. The Russian tank soldiers should have listened to their moms!
Amazing footage 👍
You can guarantee there's more where that came from.
Seems to me that the day has come when a battle tank is useless in combat as long as its standing still. In other words, drones provide mastery of the sky.
hope those willow trees are ok.
Yep, that’s a massive bomb all right, all of 3 pounds. What would you call a 2000 pound bomb?
Tank you .
Todays warfare: "stand a little to your left,,, a little more,,,,,, goood, right there"
In Defence Digest we trust
Massive !! kid have you seen any bomb in real life?
efficace et peu couteux !!! vive l'Ukraine libre
This was a demo by the Ukrainian army with an old Russian tank to see what damage it would do to the tank.
Its the actual battlefield..
@@luisar5755 Can’t see any markings on the tank. Too add it already had a bomb on it, just look closely at the beginning of the video.
Since your intimate knowledge proves that you are a soldier in the Ukrainian army, I wish you success.
@@Hartmann45 Yeah, put a huge colorful mark in your tank, do its even easier to see and shoot it..
@@luisar5755 Its a tank. You can't be any more of a target than by being the largest piece of equipment on the battlefield. Any Air Force ground support pilot since WWII would easily tell you that.
A white marking as a Z add mimal to making you a larger target than you already are. Hence why both forces utilize markings as it's for identifying friendly from adversary as they both utilize similar equipment. The Ukranians added marking later in the conflict and are as well of course using the Iron Cross... ironic - for anyone butthurt, I'm tracking its their Armed Forces CoA.
Nevertheless it's common sense, something you clearly lack with camouflage in a battlefield environment.
Bravo! The ear is over after this!👍
In other videos they said this was a test drop and the tank was abandoned long ago.
Liar
“Yea, that branch covering half the tank will keep us safe, let’s take a nap.”
Russian thought it could bully everyone with threats, now the world knows they were full of shit...
That will be difficult to buff out.
They need to learn to make a shaped charge. It's a copper cone, with the explosive charge behind the cone pointing to the end of the shell. Then, a blasting cap on the nose triggers the shell on impact.
The shaped charge will create a jet of molten copper, that melts a hole through the steel. Best for ArmorPiercing rounds.
Since they are obviously making their own explosives, this will reduce the amount of explosives neccessary to destroy a tank.
That type of explosion is better as an anti emplacement or building round, a lot of the powder just burns up in the air... but, if dropped inside a bunker, it would be devastating
The copper cone is an "explosive formed penetrator" not a shaped charge, it uses a shaped charge but so do many other forms of ordinance.
Many of these drones are dropping ptab cluster munitions individually which are efp's and look to be modified with 3d printed detonators or just with duct tape, I've got no idea what they are dropping here though, looks entirely homegrown.
Pretty cool.
That tank was covered in Old leaves so it was probably more than likely already shot up.
More more more, how dya like it, how dya like it. Come on everyone, sing along.
MOAR!!!
Treffer 💥
That'll do, another one out of action and possible parts donor for Ukraine.
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
This was a test on a non operational abandoned tank.
I love it!
Umm, that would be a Russian Pop Top Tank. A half million dollars for the tank, destroyed by a $200 dollar drone and a free surplus mortar round. LOL !!
Strike😳big Strike😅😅😅🤣
Haha! - Nelson
that's a video game ?
Russian Tank Commander: "Ivan, get in the tank." Ivan: "Nyet." Russian Tank Commander: "Get in the tank or I will shoot you myself." Ivan: "May your aim be true, that other thing will not be happening."
Hope no one was in that tank :(
After the first Gulf War, I said that I wouldn't want to be a Russian Tank salesman. Nothing's changed. WTG Ukraine.
Maaan?, that one tank keeps getting blown up over and over again.
that was a test drive for a new kind of ammunition and the t-72 was empty
Looks like the Tank was destroyed before this.
1 Million when new ? arent they like 10 times more than that ?
About 6 seconds falling time equals to a height of about 175 Meters. Where are the lookouts?
they cost far more than $1000000 each...
That was a test If the drone can handle the payload.
GLORY TO THE MIGHTY WARRIORS - SLAVA UKRAINI!!!
those anti drone russian tank turrets aren't very accurate.
A cheap drone with a cheap bomb could take out a T72 tank? Then what is the Javelin used for?
Perhaps there's a move to conserve Javelins now. The rate at which they can be manufactured is not very high, and they do cost $175k a pop. Cheap and effective drones and ordnance may very well have been designed, made and deployed only very recently, and skilled operators may not have been plentiful until now. Who knows which of myriad factors explain battlefield tactics?
Moscow State Circus presents "the flying turrets"
massive bomb lol, thats a mortor. You can probably hold it one handed if you wanted to which is not something you can do with actual bombs.
actualy there is another bomb, unexploded.. at 0:32 is clear..red with grey wings....like that from 0:34...
It was indeed noticeable. If these are, as we hear, improvised bombs, then it is unsurprising that some of them do not explode. Even proper factory-made munitions have a certain rate of failure.
Maybe it worked out, though: perhaps the last one set off the dud as well.
Russians park broke down tanks to use as decoys confound and reveal the drones
The tank appears to be posing for the ad. It shows that it can go under the trees and try to camouflage itself a bit, but it seems that it is already a damaged tank that they drop the bomb on.
Воюет и страдает Украина, а радоваться победе над Россией будет весь мир.
Not so enormous ;)
The oposite happens to a Ukraniantank in another video here on UA-cam !
It's not operating, so it is not occupied. It is not that difficult to figure out.
Do you make these videos to pass along appropriate information?
Or, do you make videos, so we can teach you basic common knowledge??
Sitting is that thing when not necessary is like being in a jail cell the size of your home closet, but bare metal.
"Massive bomb" NO! it's a modified small mortar round . I didn't see teh vehicle cook-off, it looks more like a flesh-wound. Get your facts straight!
are you sure its russian tank ?did you see any Z or V characteristic mark on the tank? i think its more ukrainian tank ......

paid troll.
You’re correct. They would typically have the marking showing from above for friendly drones and aircraft.
Someone said it might be a Ukrainian training video to test the capabilities of a drone dropping an IED.
Don't pretend you didn't notice that much of the tank is obscured by vegetation. The markings could well be hidden.
😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
A novice skydiver, on his first solo jump discovered both his chutes are hopelessly tangled. As he plummets towards the earth he sees a Russian riding a tank turret ascending towards him. The skydiver yells, “you know anything about parachutes?” The Russian answers, “Nyet, you know anything about tanks?”
UKRAINE LOST MONTHS AGO
This is not combat. This was a test and an aiming-drill.
All they need is a white spot on the ground for an aiming exercise. Not a perfectly good tank. Liar.
BOOM
What a terrible waste of a million dollars tank deliberately destroyed by a bomb that cost hundreds of dollars? It looks like tanks are gonna be obsolete in the near future? Slava Ukraini from America. 🇺🇲👍🪖🤔🇺🇦
Mobility kill. Good enough.
Roasted Russians, what fun! 😉
The war(pardon)
This is footage of the Ukrainians testing the new grenade not battlefield footage.
I hope no squirrels were bothered by the bombs as filthy rooskie army animals were burned alive.
