Part 2: • Ducati Passed by Bike ...
Bike Modifications:
Keihin FCR racing Carburetors
Sil Moto Carbon High Mount Exhaust
Shitty Tachometer
That tach is fuckin precise as fuck holy shit
Glad someone else knows a precision instrument when they see one!
Thinking monster for my first bike . . . thanks for the video.
Cool, you were in garden grove. I work in the area
Holy shit that induction sound is cool!
i like the yellow line just for bikes .
Not sure if you’re still responding to comments but what did you do for sound? Is it just the camera placement?
This is just a GoPro mounted on the tank with an open airbox lol. I'd recommend a foam wind blocking cover.
@@TROdesigns tanks! 😉
Nice video! If everything goes according to plan I should be getting one tomorrow. One from year 2000, any advice or tips? Thanks in advance
StriplingJr thanks for the comment!
Some Ducati specific things to check:
Oil leaks around the base gasket (where the finned cylinders meet the crankcase)
Ask the guy if he's kept up with the valve adjustments and timing belt replacements - these are the 2 main pain in the asses with these bikes.
The front rims tend to be pretty beat up on these bikes for some reason, def check for dents or damage.
Good luck man, and if it doesn't work out, there's always the Suzuki SV650 :-)
are you by chance buying the one in Denver that needs a new gas tank
teagueO Excellent information!.. now that I'm looking closer at the pictures of it there definitely seems to be some sort of leak falling onto the exhaust pipe. Also after seeing some reviews about the bike supposedly the front shocks are a bit stiff so I will checks the front rim for sure.
logan sigmon I'm actually supposed to be getting this one on sale here in California around the Bay Area
StriplingJr ah I'm looking at 2000 Ducati monster 750 in Denver it's only 1600 but it has a pinhole in the tank so I either need to fix that or get a new tank although I've spent all day searching and can't find a new tank anywhere
Watched the whole video. Where's the protection bro?
CVS was out of magnums so I rode raw
***** subscribed lmao
***** Thank you sir!
You should keep two fingers on the brake lever,it can save you.
Good tip
great tip! drive like everyone else is going to do something stupid, thats what I do
My 98' 750 monster doesn't have a tachometer. I just listen to the engine! Lol
DevilDogMuNky My tach says I never go above 6K lol, I'm in the same boat as you bro!
what year? before 2002 since it has carbs obviously haha
DavesMotorCars Yep, it's a '99 with Keihin FCR's on it. You got some badass cars on your channel bro!
***** Thanks man! How you like the bike, I very very close to buying a 2002 M750
DavesMotorCars It's no rocketship, but super fun to ride man. The bikes with FI sometimes require throttle body syncing and other things you don't have to worry about with carbs. On an '02 you'll also have 2 brake calipers up front vs the one I have. I'd go for it!
What is the mpg for you?
Also I saw brookhurst. You're not far from where I'm from (edinger and beach)
Highway Max: 58 mpg
City Average: 40 mpg
Canyons Min: 32 mpg
no gloves, what a champ
This guy's right, gloves could save your life in the event of a crash: ua-cam.com/video/Khx2Ad1ATJ8/v-deo.html
I had one.. very fun bike
why do you stab the throttle when downshifting? is that so cars can hear you approaching?
Exactly - to alert cars but also when rev-matching since the engine is slow to rev
Gabriel Valente Ferrão Is called rev matching
where are your gloves mister
They're here: ua-cam.com/video/8gvdkumG4wg/v-deo.html
Are the FCRs worth it?
Justin Paalisbo They add a shit ton of character to the bike. The thing will sound ridiculous - the induction roar gets way louder and it whistles as you roll the throttle on. Throttle response is really quick and it's smooth as hell - it will still idle at
Why does he keep pushing that purple button?
That's my turn signal cancel/nitrous button
@@TROdesigns nitrous love it lol
gdzie rękawice i jakieś ochraniacze?.... na zdrapke....:/
Noszę je przez większość czasu, czasami jest lepiej bez nich
It kinda scares me that you keep taking your hand off the handle.
nice knock...
youtube engine diagnostic genius lol. I'd have a hole in the piston a long time ago if that was the case - what you're hearing is likely the incredibly worn valve guide i'm too lazy to fix
Knock knock...whos there?....time for a rebuild...
Mirrors? Omg..
And no turn signals either...ua-cam.com/video/Khx2Ad1ATJ8/v-deo.html
Where is the safety gear bro 😤
I demonstrate safety gear in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Khx2Ad1ATJ8/v-deo.html
@@TROdesigns lool
See the Carburetors on this bike spray fuel in slow motion: ua-cam.com/video/9KSc_KNGKYg/v-deo.html
A lot of comments about gear - I've posted a motorcycle safety video here: ua-cam.com/video/Khx2Ad1ATJ8/v-deo.html
Wow, lane splitting with no gear... not exactly a rocket scientist.
I took your advice and started wearing gear... ua-cam.com/video/Khx2Ad1ATJ8/v-deo.html
