You will love the depth the Impulse AQ will provide. Be sure to secure the first 18 inches of the coil cable (near coil ) tightly with velcro. You cannot have any cable movement. The machine is so sensitive it will pick up any cable movement as a signal. I had that problem with mine at first. It will take you a while to get used to using a pulse. Be ready to dig a lot. 18 inch nickel not uncommon. Happy Hunting.

3 hours of battery life on a pulse machine is plenty, (for me)! Looking forward to your review 👍

Always put it together and use it before reading the instructions. It's the way real men have been doing things since the beginning of time. No need to change it up now. Can't wait to see it in action. Looks like it might have some heft to it. That coil is as big as a steering wheel.

Fisher Labs have an awesome pedigree. No surprise that this prototype pleases you outa the box. There's some nice noises coming soon, 'reckon. Good news is their big bucks come out of military contracts, so they have plenty of time to design and perfect metal detectors, with no fear of cash-flow worries...Good things come in threes with Fisher....F70/75/GB....and then some...Cool times follow bad; you'll know it. Yip

Hey Gigs! Will be interested in seeing how you validate and give credit to your testing. Call me or get one of your regulars to follow your track with the Nox... Many targets in Tidewater are deep due to all the sand replenishing. Digging deep will definitely slow you down! Keep on swinging!

You're not alone Merrill. After all the time I lost wating for my machine, the bad news of a limited 100 pieces only for USA. Even worst, the final series will cost around 3.000bucks here in Europe. Not properly acceptable for me. We'll see.

I'm all about American Manufacturing ,but as far as metal detecting goes the American Companies just do not compete with Foreign company's with software and innovation. Twist knobs and losing all info and only having tones to count on , feels like a step back to the 1970's if you ask me.
I do love my digital display on the Equinox!!
I believe it will be a great beach machine for sure!.....I agree,.. I too am spoiled with having a digital display on my machine....I think the Impulse will have the advantage on the depth capabilities over the Nox but, prepared too dig a lot more unwanted targets overall!......If your willing to tough it out and labor more on the deeper targets, that's where it can pay off!....I suppose I'd be willing to use a pulse unit if I were faced with lack of finds at my local beaches....Fortunately for now, I don't have that problem!
@@carlfr2977 yep, but at what point in depth ? Nox already goes down over a foot in most cases , if you are in the wet sand it's gonna just collapse digging deep
