    Craft tool catalogs & kits for craft makers , is a phenomenon of the early 20th century , & the biggest part of it began after the end of WW2 , early 50's to the present !!! Serious crafts people had to have a knack at tool making previous to this period , world wide !!! Quite often the work they were doing , was done with a tool they had made , or , it was a hand me down , inherited from someone close to you . who had also been in the trade !!! Folks would not believe the inventiveness of some of these folk artists & the tool making industries that spun off from them !!!

    Custom tools is how things get done. It does consume time though. Way to think outside the box.

      Thank you, you’re right about it taking time but I figured it would be worth it because I plan on doing more of these grips.

    That tool in it self is a work of art 👌 I guarantee in a hundred years someone will pick that up and loose sleep trying to figure out what it's for 😜

      Thanks Dave, a lot of times I get these little ideas and talk myself out of spending the extra time to make them but I know I will be doing more of these grips so it seemed like a good thing. And it works really well too.😀

      @@StockmanOriginal I'm the same, on rare occasions I take the time to make a special tool but the are always janky and only built for pure function. Yours on the the other hand are pure works of art, they look amazing, work amazing and are made to last 👌 my hats off to you 👏

    Pls help how to identify the elephant ivory

    • @StockmanOriginal
      @StockmanOriginal  5 місяців тому

      Hello new friend, we have a video dedicated to that topic. Elephant is pretty easy to identify by its grain which is called schrager lines. On the end grain it looks kinda checkerboardish, and the long grain it appears as stripes of different shades of white. For more details scroll through our content list for that video. Welcome to the tribe.
