Welp, here's the first song I've officially tackled from a Titans-era game! I'm both proud and disappointed on how this came out; on the one hand it's really faithful to the original, but on the other hand, the differences in my version are so subtle I don't know how much people will appreciate it. I'm honestly wondering if this one might bring in some gasp hate, so I wanted to just explain myself here while I had the chance; both in terms of this track and what it means for the future songs I cover. Regarding this song, even though it's very similar to the original, you'd be surprised how much of this is actually custom made. Since there aren't any midi's of MOM tracks and they can't be ripped from the game itself like on the Ps1, I basically had nothing to work with when I made it. I didn't want to recreate it from the ground up, but I also thought adding a few instruments over an existing mp3 track would just sound... well, terrible. So, I ended up isolating samples from the original, tracking down a good theremin soundfont, and doing a hell of a lot of mixing. Was it worth it? Honestly... I'm not sure. It's harder to "update" these tracks in my style than Ps1 ones just because they're modern (and damn good) already. And in the end, the payoff is pretty small given that the only people bound to like it are those who want some "beefed up" versions of the originals, given that there's not many drastic differences and only hardcore fans would appreciate the tears that went into this. Plus, people who aren't intimately familiar with the original track might doubt that I even remastered it at all since the differences are so freakin' subtle. In the end, I decided that after this my efforts are going to focus more on the original trilogy's soundtrack (and maybe Twinsanity), for obvious reasons. Anyone who's been following me for the last few months already has probably noticed a drastic increase in the quality of my music lately (especially around when I released "Bear It"), so it'll just be uphill from here with those tracks anyway! HOWEVER, I don't plan to abandon later games, they're just gonna be less frequent, and most likely are going to be full-on remixes instead of "remasters". I also am going to start doing other games as well, including... and I'm really hesitating to promise this... Rayman, Jak, Ratchet, Viewtiful Joe, Sly, Sanic, etc. Get hyped! i actually liked the titans era games. not bad if you think about it. it was something new. and not like most crash games with the hallway style levels and enemies going back & forward. let alone collecting wumpa fruit. i myself have the 3 original ps1 games. and titans and Mind over mutant were great games as well. keep up the good work mate! left a like ☺
Yeah, I know it's not the popular opinion, but I honestly don't mind them either. The thing about them is that they're perfctly good games, just not necessarily what people want in a true "Crash" game. I know that's been said a million times before, but that's pretty much the legitimate reason why they're so hated. But at the end of the day, I still think they're just harmless fun. Especially since Vicarious Visions seems to be retconning it all with the return to classic form that the trilogy is going to bring.

I grew up with the original games and I loved Titans and Mutant.
yeah, the main reason they were hated is because the series died after these 2 games, and even if it continued, it was obvious they weren't going to the old style anyways, but now that VV are bringing back the old style and hopefully the series will be revived after that, i hope people will see good they actually were

If Radical didn’t change the characters designs and just updated the looks and kept the originality in them and Crash just didn’t have tattoos and kept his gloves then this would of been one of the best Crash games ever made.

Not gonna lie, the audio sounds clearer than the original and it sounds like some extra instruments were added but I don't know, it might just be me but sounds really cool. Also, I loved playing the titan-era games. The only thing that got me was their cut scenes in Mind Over Mutant but I thought it was just them showing different versions of Crash and what not

Nice remaster yaw!, I was looking into remaking these tracks for some time now, but the issue I was always facing that there was no sound fonts for this game nor the one before it, and I just have to say that what you did here is REALLY IMPRESSIVE, you absolutely nailed all the sounds in this remaster, so I have a few questions I want to ask you:
do you still have the files of this project?, if not how do I replicate it

I Personally Dont Like Mind Over Mutant, But i like the soundtrack. keep doing this amazing Job man, i Will Be Very Very Happy If You Do N. Cortex's Crash Bandicoot 3 Theme Battle. It Would Be So Epic.

haven't played mind over mutant but after listening to the original one I agree, the soundtrack of that game is already high quality so pure remixes instead of remasters would make sense

Riley Johansson You know, I'm honestly not sure. I couldn't figure out what it was myself, so I literally just made my own version from scratch by doing a ton of sample editing and using a highly modified theramin soundfont. If I ever find out the actual instrument I'll let you know :P
I've been listening to a few of your remasters and I have to say they're pretty good :). Keep up the good work! This was always one of my favorite songs from Mind over Mutant and I hate that once you beat the game it's still replaced by Mutant Malarkey. I did enjoy Crash of the Titans and Mind over Mutant and they are still fun to play, but looking back on it I also realize they didn't need to change things, both gameplay and character personalities, as drastically as they did. But either way, great job with the remasters I've heard so far and I'll look through to listen to the other ones :). Oh, and feel free to check out some of what I've done on my channel ^^

MOM and N Sane Trilogy are the best Crash Bandicoot games in my opinion. And I can't note the difference between this and the original soundtrack

Droilius Added more instruments, redid basically the whole thing so that it was higher quality audio. In the end it sounds almost identical, so... yeah, that's why I haven't done another one in this style - It doesn't sound like I actually did anything unless you know what your looking for, so all the work I put in it is basically pointless. The description explained it all.
