Hey there, I'm Todd Bailey. Let me tell you about my journey.
I dropped out of college in the nineties and took a Greyhound bus to Los Angeles, getting my early start busking on Hollywood Boulevard. With 30 years as a songwriter, the earliest album I listened to while first learning was 'Highway 61 Revisited' by Bob Dylan.
In 1995, I moved back home from L.A. to South Jersey. I wrote and performed with Gypsy Killers and was active within the Philadelphia music scene in the late 90s and early 2000s. During this time, I founded PhillyScene.org, one of the first Philly music websites for bands, venues, reviews, listings, and more.
In late 2022, I resurfaced on the live music scene in South Jersey and Philadelphia. I wrote, developed, produced, and performed a solo acoustic show called 'Anything Like Me,' along with a companion EP.
Throughout my life, I’ve practiced and performed with many musicians and bands, playing at numerous venues around the Delaware Valley. I've performed at great venues around Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley, showcasing my unique blend of tones and frequencies that span folk, pop, honky tonk, bluegrass, rock & roll, and Americana.
As a seasoned solo troubadour performing in and around South Jersey and Philadelphia since the late nineties, my songs use traditional arrangements and clever storytelling to take listeners on lyrical journeys. All delivered with my unique cadence, clarity, and authentic style.
