    Stealth camping doesn't necessarily have to al ways be about SHTF. For me, I simply do it because I like the adventure of camping linked with the fact that every bloody acre of land is ( here in Britain) owned by someone. So unless one opts for the tame option of paying to pitch on a friggin campsite, the only option is to basically trespass. I'm fine with it because I'm not going to destroy anything and hopefully, the land owner will be none the wiser.

    BLISS for me is Blend, low, Irregular, Silhouette and Shade. Expanding on that, there are two main schools of thought for camouflage. One is to blend into the surroundings, the other is to disrupt the eye. You can see examples of this in modern camouflage patterns. Digital camo might be a great example of a blending camo, it works better at a distance. British DPM (Disruptive pattern material) is a disruptive camo, so deliberate dark irregular shapes that break up the human silhouette.

    Hi on3 😊,
    Hey I shouldn't comment yet as I've only just started to watch so I shouldn't comment yet, but I do think it has been gradual for a while but remember the Bible talks about birth pains and things are getting worse quicker and faster and harder each time😊.
    Anyway love what you do shame I haven't sometimes got the time to watch it all but I really appreciate what you do😊

    this is a great video thank you.! However, at about the 27 minute mark, I realize that the guest teacher was probably in theaters in Afghanistan or Iraq and didn’t have to worry about other people using thermals stuff on him although I’m sure we left enough of it behind when we ran out of Afghanistan that they have it now . However, I have seen so many videos, especially on the news either about rescues or finding criminals that used heatseeking thermal imaging that I can guarantee you that it sees right through the little bit of canopy you have above you. It may not be a perfect image, but it will be an orange blob of a glow that indicates a large animal or a human, so content creator is Correct that you would be very better off with two layers of non-touching materials even though this will slow you down setting up and breaking down. My recommendation would be for one of the two layers to be made of that Mylar material that they make emergency heat, saving sleeping bags and blankets out of. Luckily they now make them in oversize sizes as in large enough for two people to squeeze into although I’m sure that would be very hot, but the point being, you could cut it into a blanket and have a pretty good size canopy cover over your camouflage tent or whatever. Or if it’s really cold, you’d probably want it to be the inside layer and obviously you would want to buy one that is camouflage already or spray-painted to be camouflage because they usually come in bright orange or silver for rescue purposes. I’m not arguing you. You guys were great, but I guarantee you that the foliage even of a pretty good size tree will not stop Thermal imaging! thank you for the great and informative video! I learned a lot!

    Excellent discussion! Takeaway: when you can't see into some brush, that's the place to setup your shelter.
    Question: Since the layover branch was wedged and well supported in the Y of the sapling, why need to wrap it 5 times to lash it with the vine? (illustrating vines as lashing perhaps?)

    With thermal you can see through things that are thin, like plastics especially. Not Mylar though, unless you heat it up with your body heat or similar. Two layers is good; a reflective layer and an ambient layer. Foliage is a good second layer, but also keep in mind that it is often cooler than ambient due to the moisture in it and evaporation. I mention this because dark camo in the sun near but not under vegetation is likely to be significantly warmer on the surface than the surrounding vegetation. By the way, I can passively see thermal with my gear in absolute pitch black darkness and daylight, and I'm just a hobbyist with a modest budget. Thermal does generally work better at night as there is a sharper temperature gradient.

    • @ONThree
      @ONThree  2 місяці тому

      In my experience, the bigger the difference in temperature the clearer the image.

    Everyone needs to understand and remember that 'The Collapse' isn't an Event, it's a process. IE: Financial, civil war, Govt bankruptcy, WW3-starting Conventionally then Nuclear. (Most Likely, High Consequence.)
    Rome was neither built nor fell in a day.
    Now Nuclear War, a HEMP an Asteroid, or Solar Flares are Events, and all the least likely but Extreme Consequence Events.
    We must have mindset that it may slow roll over days months or even a year.
    There are just so many High Consequence Events that Govts are escalating to happen, and noone is deescalating any where.

So, this is me asking; where can I get one?

    If you're being actively hunted, it's hard to counter dogs...funny how our enemies in the Sandbox didn't seem to like dogs very much - was that a cleanliness issue, from the Koran?

    • @aaronbeach8929
      @aaronbeach8929 2 місяці тому

      In Islam, they do believe dogs are unclean and only allowed them for security reasons and must be kept outside. I work with Muslim dude his parents are from Bangladesh. And I always ask him about this type of stuff. I'm a Christian myself and we both respect each others religions which is nice for a change. Respect from 🇬🇧✝️👍😎🌱🌲

    • @AdamJohnson-dr2ri

      @@ONThree Have you considered Everclear/grain alcohol? They say it’s safe to burn in enclosed areas(no toxic fumes), can be used as an antiseptic or to sanitize gear, and you can drink it(could work to make a new friend or be used for bartering in a pinch too). The cost is the only downside I see but I consider my alcohol burner to be just for emergencies or non permissive environments. A plastic pint or half pint bottle is basically flat too so easy to pack(that adds a food grade container to your gear also👍🏻). Keep up the good work/vids!

    Civilization has been eroding humanity for about 3 thousand years actually. It's the frog in the bubble bath. There will be probably many breaking points though. It's a combination of factors. We weren't made to live like this; "progress" is a lie we tell ourselves to feel content, but really, on an individual level, we're made weak, complacent, and dependent, like ants in a colony.
