We've had so much going on around the farm it's hard to keep up. We've decided which heifers we're keeping, we've sold the feeders and now, it's time to send one of the bulls to market.
I like your thoughts on picking replacement heifers.. I use the same. We performance tested for many years and that was help.too. We had registered Simmental herd from 70s to 91 after my dad passed away. Was to much to do and my mom and I went back to commercial cow herd. We used Angus bulls on the lower percentage simmental cows we kept and sold all the higher and PB ones. All my cows had a percentage of simmentals in them.

I'm really glad that our paths have crossed. I'm happy that you are here and I have read most of the comments. I do have some questions that I want to ask about the oilers but I just haven't had a chance to post them yet. We are currently in the process of selling some walnut trees and it's been all hands on deck to get everything ready for bidders to arrive... If I watch a channel that has a woman creator.....I like down to earth Girls, Channels with facts not frills, short and to the point, Those more interested in "Farming not "Filming" You Hubby has a Pearl of a great Price....

That's the only red we kept...I think she's got the best frame out of all the heifers we've kept this year.
