Succulent plants? 😅. Thanks for great reminders. I have to tie my hair once I’m home so my hands aren’t in it.

TFS! I love letting our locs love on one another 🤎. I'll be 3yrs on my microlocs journey this October and you're absolutely right when I just let my locs be I see beautiful health and rapid growth. Coming from a loose natural for several years I had to realize there's a difference so thank you for the tips! While the journey is hair freedom... we still must Love On our locs!

Yes indeed! Locs need help too, just not as much.

I just got microlocs last weekend. I’m still not used to not needing hair products. My hair is looking dry. Even before I got microloc, I would spray rose water after a workout. I’ve continued doing that but it’s looking dry still. Today I added tiny bit leave-in and water and sprayed it. My hair looks better but I really really don’t want build up. I’m going try to limit spraying the water and leave in to once a week. For the other days I think water or rose water will be fine.

I love Rose water. Also maybe try some loc oil. I use it once every 2-4 weeks or as needed based on it I am in the pool a lot.

I’m trying to decide if I want them or not. I’m a loose natural but I wear braids a lot. My hair is hot when it’s straight and it usually doesn’t stay straight long whenever I do get it straightened and I haven’t found the product “ for me” that make my hair look the way I want it to look MOST times when it’s loose and when it’s loose, it’s so unpredictable so I still end up twisting it up. I’m tired of this stage. I’ve been doing this for about 8 or 9 years. I’m ready for some freedom from that and buying all the products that don’t work. However the more video I watch and info I gather, I think I’m deciding on microlocs. I’m newly 50 and just concerned about what my hormones will do to my hair as I start to go through menopause 🤦🏾‍♀️

That is a valid concern. Unfortunately locs are still just hair so it will react in the same way it would loose natural. You never know though. Regardless, I will say that the freedom is one of a kind.
