Yes girl! I'm with you! I had no idea our locs are the same age! Yay! And yes your ponytail is err thang! I'll be 5 years loc'd on Memorial Day♥. I'm trying to record some snippets. Yes, my scalp can be a little tender, and I think it comes from us not having to touch/comb/pull/brush our scalp every single day, to where we can become a lil tenderheaded lol.🤣 I have a 13 yr old, with microlocs that I only have to re-tie every 10 weeks (mine every 8 weeks), and yes my time has been restored! I freakin love it. I find myself looking for stuff to do and places to go, because our hair maintenance is so minimal. The lint is a booger, but it's all good, I do what I can to alleviate it. I don't detox either and I'm with you, if my locs go, twa here I come.😁 Thanks for the vid, you and your locs are gorgeous!

Hello there! And hooray for 5 years..I have about 4 months to hit my official 5 years so I am excited. So true about the scalp. Our hair just gets used to minimal manipulation and it feels different.

1- sensitivity when it needs to be done
    2- don't like lighter colors
    3 - time is freedom
4- beware of lint (bonnet not negotiable)
    5-do it

Looked like Kelly Rowland for a second. Also sounds like her. 😂

Girl, you're making me fall in love with the jet black😫! I've been trying to stick with the natural henna (not the one that you have to mix with indigo to get a black dye), it turns greys red and my natural dark brown, a richer dark brown with a hint of burgundy in the sunlight. The main problem now is that I'm just lazy. With henna, you have to let it sit for at least 4 hours to process. I don't feel like doing that anymore AND I *think* that I want to go darker. BTW that pony tail is everything!!!

I did consider henna once upon a time but this $3 Brown Blacl hair dye is fabulous. I have been doing this since my teens and have never had an issue with it. Plus it's only 20 minutes processing lol!
