👉👉 New tutorial Series "NX Sketch Solver" started today 😉 I am looking forward your reactions. Leave a 👍 and a comment to support our work :-D The next tutorial will follow in a few days 🤘
5:56 The solution for the arrangement problem is based on a mixture of relations and persistent relations. UPDATE: a new video will be published tomorrow, reviewing some negative aspects of the new Sketch Solver. I am going to explain a workaround, which is also possible with the old solver!
As a transplant from other CAD software, I'd love to see an explanation on this 'persistent' vs 'non-persistent' relations thing. (I hate that I often forget to turn persistent on). Also finding and removing existing relationships would be helpful. NX doesn't make it easy. Looking forward to the rest of this series!
Sorry for the late response... We are distributing trainings about the new solver. Makes more sense than learning via UA-cam. But I believe, after 7 months, there less questions left😬 have a nice day
Of course it does, but materials have changed some releases ago. The algorithm is different. Is this your first touch with NX rendering? I have shared a free course via one of my playlists btw.
hi, i am big fan of your tutorials... a small question for a nx master, how can i move extracted 3d curves or even new hand created splines, with associative movement ?(no move parents ,or without pattern geometrys ?
Thank you. I'm still thinking btw. Transform allows bodies only. If possible, you might extrude the spline and transform the extrude. The outline has equal mathematics.
@@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training thank you for your Reply, i also use as you mention, however this will create extra geometry and features. i hoped there was a easy way, and dont realy understand why NX still have some features that are limited to the type of geometry or object. lets hope with new releases the workprocess improves. as it have being some years. have a good day cheers
Hi Robert. NX wird nicht länger für Mac supportet. Aber soweit ich weiß hat das auch nie richtig gut funktioniert. Geht es um eine oder mehrere Lizenzen?
Even if fully constrained, it sometimes behaves strange. Leaves some optimization opportunities. I believe Siemens will solve most of the problems soon. But anyway, I agree. I am having some issues as well )-: depends on the workflow
@@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training Thanks for your honnest reply. I admid there are some great new funtions in the new sketcher as well and I guess we just have to have some patience for a more optimized sketch solver
Did you have a professional training already? You should consider that it feels uncomfortable before it is comfortable. You mean the relations? Constraints are no more available. Methods have to be considered to have a benefit of the new sketcher✌️ but I miss the auto dimensions as well😅 maybe I have to work on my methods there as well 🤔
Depends on the workflow! I have made some good and bad experience with it. Compared to the old solver, it's a fail! So, I agree! But my expectation is Siemens solving some of the issues in the near future.
@@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training Hopefully! Also the mirror tool doesn't seem to keep the new mirrored side associative to the original dimensioned side - is this actually how it is or am i doing something wrong? (i.e. when i change a dim on one side it does not change the mirrored side)
This is a great solver if you use Solid Edge...I pretty sure development took that solver and put it directly into NX. This might give both NX and Solid Edge the ability to modify each other's sketches!

Did we lose the system persistent constraint? it is not showing at 7:13.
it was very useful. I just started. I didn't use old versions. I can draw more stable.thank you
You're welcome 😉 thanks for the comment
Is the error cause because the datum normal is flipped? What would happen if you dragged the datum below the X-Y plane?
I am using NX 1988 now, does it have the RENDER ( studio Materials) ? How can I find it ?
Of course it does, but materials have changed some releases ago. The algorithm is different. Is this your first touch with NX rendering? I have shared a free course via one of my playlists btw.
I have to watch it again :) but I am sure we are going to dominate this as well. Thanks!!
Yes we will 🤘😅🤘

A General NX question. Will NX be released on M1 Macs? Or is MacOS no longer supported?
Hi Robert.
I just can't get used to the new sketcher. It always feels unpredictable and harder to adjust when not fully constraint

something that is very disconcerting from a UI point of view, is the use of magenta in the new sketcher.
I really miss the old sketcher. Also auto dimensions etc. Constraints are crap too at the moment.

Imo autodimesnsions are usefull. In NX 12 you simply have to reverse the sketch orientation as well and evertything works fine with constrains
I had no problems with Auto Dimensions
I have Permanently Closed..
What do you mean?
the new sketcher SUCKS it is so bloody annoying

Mirror and some of the others can be persistent or not. There is an option which needs to be enabled. Then it behaves like before.

Auto Dimensions are terrible
Too late to turn them on 😅 Anyway - shall I discuss the Pros and Cons in a video?
