    Can we select the constraint then select geometry?

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Shane, yes you can. And you can also select several objects at once. The multi-selection considered at 12:00 is obsolet, or so to say there is a different solution available when selecting the constraint first. Thank you for the question. I haven't considered that (-; Best regards, Simon

    12:20 F4 is a handy 're-do' command in Excel and maybe other Office apps too. It saves some time when editing plots, for example (though it only works sometimes)

    Hello thanks for sharing!
    Is there also a "manual" way to delete constraints, besides the "Shake and brake". for example i do not manage to delete a coincident constraint of two circles without deleting one of the circles (not using Shake and brake). THX

    A few details you have covered are already known from solidworks like sketch region. It's very useful for checking if the sketch is fully closed.
    Anyway I'm impressed with the improvements!

    Oh gosh, i finally know how to sketch with new version! thanks a lot. ❤️ One question, do you know how to customize horizontal and vertical axis? yours are light grey dotted in the background. My axis are in strong Green and strong Red color in the front.

      Your color is predefined by the sys admin. You can edit it via the sketch settings, but only for each part. Not recommended. Contact your sys admin and make a proposal! Regards, Simon

    This is amazing. I have used NX few years ago, have come back now, and its nice to see it advanced to much. NX is now not only more infinetely powerfull than competition, but much more comfortable and easier to use as well. If solidworks and likes wont step up their game, NX will take over their market as well.

  • @pavloshysh1332

    now they call "early access features" instead of "feature toggles". Do they do it on purpose to make it harder after you update software??

    Is it still possible to use Point on Curve from a previous sketch ?

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training

      Hi, of course it is. But the relation behaves slightly different due to the new solver. The Relations have been consolidated and Point on Curve is now produceable via the Coincident Relation.

  • @TheFozzwad
    @TheFozzwad 4 роки тому +2

    Odd that I got this video when I searched for why the sketcher is SOOOOO MUUUCH slower in NX1919 (1899, whatever) than in previous versions of NX. Especially since this sounds like an advertisement for NX.

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  4 роки тому +1

      Well... I think at least maybe the workflow matters. It took some time for me to learn the new sketcher. And yes... Siemens has measured up to 30% time savings, that's my impression as well in some cases. I am saying that as a Siemens competitor 🙈

    • @TheFozzwad
      @TheFozzwad 4 роки тому +1

      Yeah sorry. The problem is not the sketcher itself. When I click the finish sketch button - it's a full minute before it finishes thinking and let's me move on.

    Servus Simon, tu mal bitte RMT auf das CSYS und im Menü Sketch starten und dann nimmt er automatisch die XY-Ebene, den Punkt vom CSYS als Usprungspunkt und die CSYS X Achse als Horizontale Richtung ;-) Diese Verbesserung kam mit NX12.
    Vielleicht mit dem neuen Sketcher ist es anders.
    Auf jeden Fall eine geile neue Skizzenfunktion!

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  4 роки тому

      Hi Phil, ja das kenne ich. Nur arbeite ich nicht immer auf XY oder starte die Skizze aus dem Formfeature. Daher denke ich oft nicht dran. Hat sich in der neuen Version nicht geändert übrigens. Der Solver ist super. Ich habe mir die Demos von Paul Bevan angesehen und direkt ein paar Dirty Trick Videos dazu aufgezeichnet. Die gibt's dann nächste Woche (-;

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  4 роки тому +2

      Hey Mark. Absolutely. And I did watch all of these videos. The implementation of training within the SW is the best way to share information. But nevertheless, I do not see an alternative for a real training there, because there is no story being told. It's function based and methods missing as well. If there was a story line throughout the overall updates, role based and personalized and concerning modern methods of designing beside group activities etc., I would have mentioned it. Maybe I'll discuss this issue through one of my videos or within my blog (-;

  • @PASHKULI

    that "offset" extrude is quite an old feature in SolidWorks. Technically it is not a feature, but a convenient way of extruding at a distance from the sketch plane.

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  4 роки тому

      Also the symmetry value enhancment is standard in Solid Edge since I can imagine. But as the new priority seems to be a "clean up" of the system, it's time to do such mods in 2020 😂

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  3 роки тому

      Depends on the workflow. I have made good and bad experiences. And with the time gone by, my knowledge helped me to survive. Anyway, yesterday I have imported some DWG Curves into the new Sketcher. And that was terrible. 74 missing constraints, the old Sketcher would have created mostly. I am sure, things will be improved soon and the usability will become better. Did you have a training already?
