@@ZXgV1000 Dejounte Murray did not play well next to Trae. How will he next to Lebron? In addition, Dejounte is not an easy basket passer or like Zo in transition. He collects assist from less ball movement passes not hockey assist of ball rotating to multiple players or a ball mover. That's why the Hawks were stagnant with him and Trae. They don't know how to keep the ball moving.
@@BallGuy-pm8pz I understand, but from what I see, there isn't a better offensively and defensively combined PG better than Dejonte Murray. I mean, we can go back to Dlo betraying us for the third straight time. Also LeBron has to learn to move the ball faster, we can get the best movement shooters, but if he holds the ball for 20 secs, it's practically impossible.
@@ZXgV1000 The Lakers worked to hard for baskets. That will not change if you have Dejounte and Lebron in the backcourt. It will change if you have a Zo like PG. You have to take the Lakers offense back to the Magic era. Move it. Stop waiting for the defense to set up. It means nothing to have Dejounte in a 1/2 court offense. Dejounte is not a transitional running guard. Zo moves the ball and keeps it moving and he makes quick decisions without holding it.

If you watched Coach Redick’s press conference, the vision is to put LeBron more on off-ball duties, AD as a passing hub, and surround them with players that can do multiple things on the floor.
Dejounte would be perfect for that. A two way playmaker alongside AR, Vando, Bron, and AD.

I like DLO as a scorer but his decision making and defense as a PG are the problem. I would like to see the Lakers get Dejounte and add Zo in a buyout (if healthy). Now you put them in the backcourt, that's elite defensively. I would even put it on the Jrue and Derrick White level.

If JJ is truly moving Bron’ off ball and isn’t holding the ball until 4 seconds are left on the shot clock then Murray is a go. Also, if his PnR game is on point with AD being the focal point. Truth is I love Austin but we need a quick defender who can create his own shot.
Austin works with Murray trust he can play off the ball they both can and Murray is a true 1 it would make everything easier for the lakers team

Vando holds value even while injured
The Hawks are most likely going to rebuild. Rui, JHS and picks are all valuable to them. Rui is a 25yrs old wing with potential, JHS is a 17th pick in last year’s draft and i don’t need to explain why FRPs would be valuable to a rebuilding team.
Getting rid of Murray contract is of value alone the biggest thing they going to want now is picks the difference between now and in the season when they wanted AR is that they ended up with the first overall picking the draft

The Lakers need to bring back D-Lo, Draft a point gaurd like Carter to play backup & sign a big like Valanciunas or Goga. Then package Gabe, JHS & 1 of Hayes or Wood along with a first & look for a good wing player. If we can stay healthy were a dangerous team with a few minor upgrades
Would really love to bring Dlo back. But, if you saw the press con with Coach Redick, there is emphasis on defense. Emphasis on group play and he named a few teams that he wants to model our roster: Twolves, Mavs, and Celtics.
What do those teams have in common? Young, defensive minded players that can do a lot of things with the ball.
Sadly, despite having a great shooting season and a really good assist to turnover ratio, I see him as someone who will be traded. Maybe even Rui.

@@kingwilliam1921 that's the same reason I want us to hold onto him. His offense. He won us alot of games last season & had we been at full strength we could have beat Denver. We lost games 2 & 5 by buzzer beaters. That's with us missing 4+ free-throw down the stretch of both games & playing without Vando, Wood, Reddish & a 1 armed AD in Game 5. We just gotta stay healthy

I want DLo in the weight room and just come back. He'll always be a streaky shooter, but if he could improve his ability to drive he could still be a scoring threat when the 3 is not dropping.

Package D'Lo and Gabe for a valuable asset, I think AR is the 3rd star of this team once developed, I don't want them commiting the same mistake with Caruso, give AR 1 - 2 years. If he doesn't blossom, someone can replace AR at the same time they can trade AR for another valuable asset. I don't want Dejounte Murray on the Lakers because he cannot finish when it's a close game.

My current DREAM scenario.
With the bulls looking to trade Lonzo. I think we should jump in on that and ask them for their first round pick in return (#11) for taking on his contract and injury risk
Vincent + Woods (expiring deals) for Zo and #11
That will give the Lakers (#11, #17, and #55) this draft in addition to 2 future first and a couple second rounders.
With the #11 pick, I'd draft Ron Holland (defensive wing with high upside).
And then I'd look to trade Rui (salary) and either 2/3 (hopefully 2) first rounders and a couple future second round picks for Lauri Markenan, a big that can play 4/5 depending on match up.
This trade even if Lonzo doesn't come back healthy at the very minimum gives us another asset to be able to go for Lauri Markenan. If we are able to keep 1 out of the 3 first we'd have, I'd look to keep this years pick (our #17 and draft Zach Edey
Best case scenario, Lonzo comes back healthy, is able to start and be that point of attack defender we have been lacking while at the same time getting a big that can play with AD and Bron.
Getting Ron Holland is a sweetener as he has an incredibly high upside. And getting Zach Edey as back up 5, I feel gives us a look we have been lacking, and I think he can come in right away with 10-15 minutes off the bench and be productive.

Personally I like that line up but if we're able to get a good back up point guard or (dream target) Klay Thompson to start at SG and then move Reaves to back up PG/SG/ 6 man. I think that'll be a championship caliber team.
