You are the best skipper, always teaching folks the tricks of the trade.
Maintenance is key. for a $220 reels. God bless you Nick Morris.
I just spray my rods and reels down with warm water out of a spray bottle, great tips🤙🏽 these water chamber design in the 19 Stradics are life saving. Guess I need to pick up a 19 Stradic now lol was debating on that or the sustain
My wife has the Sustain and I think the Stradic is a lot more smoother and better with the long cast feature. I think after they remake the Sustain it will be a better reel.
This Shimano Stradic FL 5000xg is FL smooth durable and awesome reel👍
Awesome video !
Ex-pat from Hawaii here. I really enjoy your channel! Not sure if you heard of him, but Taku from Outdoor Chef Life just went fulltime on UA-cam and his first trip will be to Hawaii. I hope you can connect with him and do a collaboration. Mahalo for the great videos bruddah!
Thanks for watching. Yes me and Taku have been in contact and we are going to do a fishing trip on the boat when he gets down here.
@@RAHfishing ho man, that is so cool! I can't wait for it to come out. Mahalo for answering!
I’m glad you do these videos! Good idea
Thanks
u should open the bottom plate of that stradic, it has a metal retainer that cover up by a lot of grease because it's water penetrable, just make sure no sands get in it, and there still plenty of grease it highly penetrable with saltwater, and corrosion do spread, so i would apply more grease if there isnt enough of it got washed out somehow by saltwater.
Thanks 🤙
Very educational brah, big mahalo
Thanks
Something so simple but effective. 👏👀
Yes wanted to keep it simple. Hopefully it helps someone.
Almost forgot to ask you, do you guys do fishing trips. If so, pls let me know; My wife asked me because we've seem a couple of your fishing trips. We'd love to join the fun :) Thanks for the info
Shore Fishing? I'm always open if people want to join. Makes it more fun.
@@RAHfishing I meant deep sea fishing :)
Good stuff and keep the awesome vids and action coming. Where you buy that grease from?
Thanks
Awesome
Thanks
Thanks for the tip. I notice you use braided main line an not mono. What’s your reason of using braided and do you have that on your whipping gear too? Thanks 🤙🏼
Yes this is my whipping pole. At first I didnt like it. But now I prefer the braid. No stretch so I feel it helps me to work the lures better.
Nice Tuesday tip. Thanks, I don't spin with braid how do you like it?
Honestly I never wanted to use braid for whipping. But now i love it. Zero to little stretch which I think helps in working lures and on the hook up. Also have braid on my Opelu pole on the boat and love that. You can really feel the lightest tap.
@@RAHfishing Thanks. I use it as a kelp cutter, but thinking of getting a spinner and doing some surf whipping. Thanks again
@@Ashton-bp8sx I'm old enough to know better but dumb enough to try. The easier thing, seems to me, (in life) is not the right thing to do. thanks Braddah
Dont know to do this with new Stradic FL reel, maybe old one you never know how this big pot of crease or oil react to synt materiaals or mag seals like Diawa too day. Be mine gast, my Dad Granddad did this on his spinreels too, something old into something new . . . with al respect.
Guy I know from Shimano repair says that the only use crease only use in closed systems, it pick up dirt and salt and sticks. Never use it on bearings too use the right oil. Just after salt clean it with warm water in shower not to hard or spray it and dry it, youre right 👍 Tip Always read what kind of chemicals are in it, and can react to special kind materials of seals.
Thanks for the info. 🤙
This a good video,,,,,
Thanks. 🤙
I clean my reel, after I put a TINY LITTLE bit of WD40 and polish the whole thing... water seems to pearl of
Nice 🤙
🤙
Is it okay to add the corrosion block oil on same shaft?
Never use WD-40 on Shimano reels it will eat plastic internals.
