Mega Man Network Transmission is a game in the Mega Man Battle Network series, developed by Arika and published by Capcom for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003. It combines the battle chip system of the Battle Network games with the classic Mega Man level designs to create a unique game in the franchise. Battle chips can be for attacking, defending, utility purposes, or a combination of these, and can be sourced from viruses (enemies) mid-stage, bought from shops, or acquired from defeating bosses. You have a finite amount of each chip, and using them costs MP, which recovers over time.

man I forgot how good the OST for this game is
This one should also have been on the MMBNLC.
I agree. It's a very fun and underrated title.
I heard someone claim that it was due to licensing issues with the company that handled the anime (since the main theme of the anime is in the game). Dunno how legit it is, but it kinda would explain why it never got re-released if it's true (like how Crisis Core took 15 years before it could be re-released due to licensing stuff related to Gackt's likeness [Genesis is based on him] or music licensing).
Its exclusion is the reason I won't be buying it.
@@koholintisland2167 yeah. Same here. Such a horribly misunderstood title that could've become something truly amazing with either a bit more time in the oven or a sequel
CHIPPU GETTO FOREVA
I've actually played a bit of this game! Kinda neat seeing a TAS of it.
Man, I had a mighty hankering for a Network Transmission speedrun, and what do I find but a TAS posted just a week prior. Perfection.
Me: "Oh look, a MMBN game in the style of the traditional MM side scrolling platform shooter! This is gonna be awesome!"
Me, after dying to the first boss for the 17th time: "Why must you be this way, game?"
My theory has always been that the EEEEEEVIL of MMBN4 infected the minds of the MMNT team, and only the pure awesomeness of Team Colonel ended MMB4's curse.
It stole its difficulty from MMZero and it shows
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Finally, a TAS of this game!!!
amazing run!
22:00 banger alert
I didn't know mega Man moves by scraping his armpit!
_Chippu getto_
They have a TAS for this too!? Can't wait for the others to be released.
Mega Man Network Transmission Control Protocol
Think Bass is the NetNavi, prepare to meet the TAS MegaMan
I don't envy sound engineers as they have a no doubt, tough job, but whoever had the job of mastering and balancing the sound did a _terrible job._
You are such an extreme
they couldn't have picked a worse sound effect for the slide
Awesome game with awesome voices!
Japanese Dub in any game is S Tier.
Strange that game shows the Style Change concept during the intermissions. But it's not even in the game itself.
What's that all about?
41:17 Oh boy, I swear, the camera didn't lower itself enough to show you the platform down below.
Basically it's Mega Man Battle Network if it played like a traditional Mega Man game.
Nossa eu não sabia q existia esse Megaman
Pouca gente conhece ele, já que é exclusivo de GameCube...
Never played this game. Does it have the megaman platformer feels? Was it developed by capcom?
어찌하여 x7을 낳을 때 이 게임도 낳았나이까
As good as this game is, it looks like the kind of game to be given a 2-3 on Metacritic

I don't understand Japanese.
이동 중 끊임없이 대화창이 나와서 게임 진행을 방해하네..
Thanks /mmg/ I hate it.
This game had a 2 star review on GameSpot when it came out, & now I see why.
Because it doesn't play like a typical Megaman game, but neither did the battle network games.
It was also geared for the Japanese market, this is a pretty difficult game.
I personally really like it actually, it's pretty fun!
I never got into the Battle Network series. But I played through this game completely. Had a great soundtrack and was a pleasant mix of both the classic and BN series.
I too can't form my own opinions fellow npc bro
The game seems fun, but the backgrounds are rather monotonous... And Megaman X5 possibly has _less_ dialogue than this.
while the idea of playing a normal mega man game but with the best mega man character design seems appealing, I don't really know if that was a good enough reason to actually make it? aint the point of the different mega man series to have different gameplay?
Nintendos last great console.
...is the Switch
The Wii? But this is on GameCube.
But the Switch, WiiU and Wii exist
Gonna guess you were born in the late nineties
