Thank you SO much Steve and other subscribers for your support and replies 🥰 Obviously I’m not the only one who has this allergy issue, so anything others have to say, is taken with gratitude. I can’t believe that I didn’t think to look for any videos Steve has done, maybe it’s my 54 yo, menopausal brain🤭 all I know is that resin crafting is my zen and the thought of giving it up, saddens me to no end 😢 thanks again for the advice and awesome ideas!!
The link to the reindeer mould links to a Christmas tray. Still cute. As always, love your videos and if I can find it, i'm looking forward to making the little cat/fox
Uh yeah I bet your nothing compared to me. I once didn't use my arm guards & ended up with a rash. Now I use the sweaty arm guards. But the best I do is extra gloves. I wear the good gloves on my hands then I put thinner food handling gloves over them & use hair bands to hold them in place. Then if I get a bit too much resin on my hands I can quickly change them out with ones sitting nearby. It cuts down on using the good gloves & still have the protection of the good gloves. But throw your gloves away after using them because once you get resin on them they degrade & aren't reusable. I just learned this. Although I generally don't reuse even the good gloves. I just like being able to switch them so I don't get resin in places it shouldn't really be. I also now wear an apron after getting resin on my Christmas house leggings I've worn for years. Yes I'm still wearing them even when it isn't Christmas. Wish I'd bought more than 2 pairs.
My house under reno since I bought it on July10th, and I am dying to do resin again. Watching you helps with my craving to do resin art. Thank you for sharing. Love your videos.
Those are all so wonderful! I love gnomes and they turned out so cute! The one with the fox is dainty and beautiful! And the reindeer is just so adorable! I also love those tags!
They sell, 9, for the equivalent of $5.00 US 😲😲! OMG, I need to come to England to shop❣️ Based on other things I’ve seen here in the states, that set of 9 tags wouldn’t sell for less than $20.00. But never fear, people would still buy them for that - they are ADORABLE❣️
Adorable, all of them! I think I like the gnomes, bells, and snowflake best! So cute! Looking forward to hearing about the really great red you found! Thanks, Steve! 😍😊👍
Thank you so much for a great video Steve, it was really informative and all the products looked fab. I have some snowflake moulds from let's resin so going to make some of those but love the bells and I really like your tags. Thanks for sharing the pricing it really helps. I'll be doing my first ever small craft fair next month with my resin so will see if anything sells. Thanks again really appreciate the vids 👍 ❤
I love resincreate. I just started using it today for the first time. I did learn one thing. Using the posca pens does not pick up the color from the molds.
Hi Steve, first I want to thank you for all your wonderful videos. I love listening to you explaining how to do all the crafts and that you also show when things don’t go right. I took a class using shells and putting them in a frame about 2 years ago when we moved to Florida. I have wanted to do more and then I found your videos and I am so glad that I did as it has been so helpful especially finding out about the PPE. When I had taken the class she never told us the hazards and there were about 20 of us in the room that were making them. Thank goodness my husband and I didn’t have any problems but maybe she had used the resin that is not toxic at least to us and we didn’t actually mix/pour them onto the frames. Anyway since then I bought a she-shed which finally showed up and hubby (Steve) has been getting it ready for me to start on the resin work and other crafts. So, I hope to start doing that real soon and I wanted to get the gnome molds but when I click on the link you provided I get different molds but maybe that’s because they are not available in the US? I sure hope so as I don’t really like the ones in the link as much.
Absolutely love these. I we t on your links but they weren't the same ones you used. Was looking for the tag ones. Ive got my very first Christmas fayre this Saturday 4th November and im not going to lie im a bit scared i suffer with MH and my anxiety is through the roof!!!
I absolutely LOVE watching your videos 🥰 the crafts and your enthusiasm are awesome!! You have talked about your resin allergies a few times and I have doubled up on my PPE where I can, taken your tips (derma shield, epoxy resin scrub cleaner, etc.), but I may have to give it up- my break outs are getting way worse and lasting longer. …. I actually have a hazmat suit in my cart for my next order🤭 my question for you is; have yo ever tried using polyurethane resin? I also just glanced over an article (was at work, didn’t get to read the whole article)about a university working on a resin that would take away allergies something about monomers (?) and using plain old sugar. Anyhoo, please let me know about any experiments that you have done with polyurethane and if the molds for epoxy resin work. Thanks so very much for being my inspiration 😋
I almost use a hazmat suit now, I have a full head mask that has filtered air pumped into it. Works so well. I have a whole playlist on Polyurethane resin, that might help you. 😀
@@MizJaniceResinArt most crafting resins are non toxic, what people are allergic to is the vapours that come off the resin when it is curing or when heat is applied. I have tried them all I think and still have the same reaction 😢😢😢😢
Hi Steve - Love you channel and have learned so much! I am working in a garage when using my resin with a heater trying to keep the temp above 70 degrees. I saw you use the fast curing Let's Resin and wanted to know if you have experience a cooler environment (close to 70 degrees) while using this fast curing machine and if it still works? Thank you!!
I really enjoy your videos and finally feel confident enough to get out of my comfort zone of only resining coasters. I think. I especially fell in love with the reindeer in this video but can’t find it by using your Amazon link. Is there a link for the gnomes? Also, will regular resin (I use Stone Coat Countertop) work in deep pours? Like one of the skull? Wait! I have one more question. Can you dome with UV resin on top of regular resin?
Hi steve, im very new to resin and i think i have watched almost all of your videos, i love your excitement and sense of humour, its made me so excited to start. I just have a couple of questions im hoping u can answer for me, i am in new zealand and trying to find silicone release spray, ehat i have found is really expensive, does a multipurpose silicokne spray work or is that different? Also i saw on a couple of other videos you use a tape fir the back, is that standard packing tape, i did buy some tape that said for resin but packing tape would be so much cheaper, and finally do you use a special drill bit or just a standard one? Im pretty well set now have the ppe, set up a room with good ventilation and where no animals can get in, cant wait to start 😊
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts thank you, I just watched your cookie cutter moulds for a few years back, I have loads of those in my cupboard that are never used, that's given me a purpose for them too 🙂
Wonderful video. Our little non profit Art Gallery decorates a few trees for Festival of Trees. It raises $ for scholarships. This year we did all the trees our gallery is donating in gnomes of various mediums. Dawn and I have been doing resin. We've used the regular, 4 hr cure and UV. We can't get any mica powder to take. We've been doing resin for a while. Never have we had this problem. Please help us figure it out if you can. We use JDiction,
That red on the gnome's hat is so Christmasy. I have had a hard time finding a good red.
I have found a great red that I will be showing in a couple of weeks.

Those gnomes are so cute. All the sets are wonderful. The small set would go great on a tiny or small tree.
Thank you 🤗

brilliant video, do you by chance have the links to the moulds you use here as the links go to completely different items? 😊
Love it! BTW your U.S. link to the reindeer mold is actually linked to a Christmas tray mold. 😁
Thank you so much for your videos and fir sharing how much you charge for finished items. It is much appreciated!

Hi, How do you set these items up on your table at markets? They look amazing. Thanks
I normally have a stepped area to place them on with a light coming from above to shine on them.

There's a resin that's supposed to be nontoxic....I think Eco resin? It was pricey but might be worth giving it a try.

Hi Steve What online market places do you find is the best to sell on?
I use my own website sometimes, but mostly I sell in person. I can’t keep up with the products to sell online. Hope that helps.

It must be super easy for you to pack up after you setup at a market.. since everything you make sells out every time 😂.

Hi there. I don't see the link to your reindeer mold
Can't find the Reindeer try like yours??????
The Gonk / Gnome moulds you have linked are very much different to the ones in the video, do you have a link to the ones in the vid? (UK based)
I was thinking the same thing . I like the ones in the video . I am in the US
Where did you get these molds
Thanks so much Steve. I really am at a loss to know what to charge. I think I’ve got imposter syndrome LOL😊
None of the links went to the molds you were using like the gnomes silicone 😢molds
Couldn't find the reindeer mold 😔
Has anyone had any luck finding the gnome or reindeer molds in the US? The links don't take me to the correct molds. Any suggestions appreciated!
