@@cfighter95 Sony rolled Funimation and Crunchyroll into one brand under the Crunchyroll name. I haven't supported them since this occurred in 2019. No subscription, no purchases, nothing... not even the Broly movie, which I absolutely loved. They will not get a red cent from me, for that and for other things (like their treatment of Interspecies Reviewers). I hate them and everything they stand for.

Ok... but he did admit that he had made an inappropriate choice to invite underage fans to his hotel room. He admitted it. You never know & he's a good talker. I'd keep it open because there's a lot of red flags through the last part of his career. I love Vic, and I want to believe in him, but I'm open to the possibilities on this one.

What nonsense. This wasn't a trial. The Texan courts have concluded that this was a SLAPP and overall weak case. It's fair game. In England and Wales, improvements are already underway to strengthen the jurisdiction's anti-SLAPP regime, because deficiencies that have been exploited have finally come to light. I'm from England, and most common-law jurisdictions are, on the whole, pretty damn fair when it comes to torts. This doesn't mean I do not sympathise with Vic. There was no factual finding in favour of his accusers. This case simply couldn't go forward due to certain matters. However, I will disagree with Vic on one point. I'd say the defendants did win aomething: attorneys' fees. Vic has been ordered by the courts to pay money to people he sued in this case. He has to literally pay hundreds of thousands in money to them due to the orders.
This dismissal was Bullshit and I still stand with Vic because he's right, nobody won a damn thing in this case. He didn't get his day in court, so it's not proven weither he was guilty or innocent, the appeals court just said that they agreed with Chupp that there wasn't enough evidence to continue the case. There were mistakes made by Rial, Toye, their team, etc etc., yes, but there were mistakes that were made by Vic and his team. It sucks that this didn't go to court like Johnny Depp's case, but this didn't prove that Vic did anything wrong; so don't let it get in your head to think that he did. I still believe that the accusations and allegations are all lies done by those in Funimation that wanted him out for whatever messed up reason they had. They succeed for a while, until more of the truth came out. Now they don't have as big of a fan base as they once did, and Funimation itself is basically dead as it got swallowed by Crunchyroll. Not quite the win we were hoping for, but not a big loss imo. Plus, now the anime community is in shambles from this, some saying that Vic is a monster and some saying he's an angel. I still stand with Vic in saying that he's just a human being, but that they're lying about a man for no reason for 3 years straight.

I've met Vic at three different conventions, in Tennessee 2006 and 2010, and in Hawaii 2012. In each of the latter two, he remembered me. When I met him for the second time in 2010, in Hawaii, he remembered that I was originally from Tennessee and we talked about his epic dodgeball game back in 2006, which i had attended and played in (though on the opposite team). When I met him for the third time in 2012, he remembered that I was military and that we'd met in Hawaii and that we'd had that conversation. He then handed me a copy of an album featuring a song about that game, and signed it. I still have it to this day. The man is a gem who absolutely loves his fans and I hope everything goes well for him.

I just can't picture anyone else voicing Bulma. I'm too used to hearing her voice Bulma. I've heard several actresses voice Bulma and none come close to sounding like Tiffany Vollmer. They all have annoying sounding voices but no one beats Monica Rial when it comes to annoying voices. She puts the I in insufferable.

I met Vic back in may of 2019 at Tupelo Con! Got to talk to him a couple of times. Had to have been one of the most kind hearted and humble people I’ve ever got to meet. He’s a true genuine man of God and I still support him to this day. Vic, I promise you God will bring you the victory! Maybe not in a way that we expect or would want, but it’ll be in a way where He makes a way! Where there seems to be no way!

sadly it's because of his faith and beliefs. Here is your 2024 reminder that Rial and her cronies fought tooth and nail to ensure that Vic and his legal team couldn't request for them to show the evidence that they claimed to have. Fully stopped the discovery phase because they knew that they didn't actually have the evidence they claimed to. They felt threatened and angered by his popularity and his faith and did everything in their power to try to tear him down, and they succeeded. What did Vic do? He forgave them and prayed for them. After they ruined his life and took everything away from him based on malicious lies and slander. There was never any evidence. KickVic was a private movement with servers and groups where people made up and faked stories to bring forward, and they cheered when they succeeded. Reminder that all Rial could do in response to negative backlash against her lies was threaten to take random Twitter users to court. What happened to Depp was a huge injustice. This is worse because there was never a single shred of evidence of even mutual toxicity, and Depp eventually won and cleared his name. Vic was completely denied the opportunity.
Vic has more class in his little finger than KV has in their entire bodies. With that said he may have lost the legal battle but, he won the war. These people sought to completely eliminate him from the English Anime dub scene and they could not get that job done. He has fans who love & support him, who will go to conventions to see him. He has partnered with Anime Matsuri to start a dubbing studio. Once they get some projects under their belts and conventions see how much more money they make with Vic than without you will see the fruits of Vic's and KV's labors.

So back in 2019, I had a nasty fight with my brother over this, and a certain somebody decided to take advantage of that and basically send harassment my way under my brothers name, escalating the feud we had. And it got so bad even Vic wrote to me and said that he would prefer that I myself stop supporting him in the interest in the harassment to stop and to make amends with my brother, which we eventually did despite our differences. I have since moved on, only popping up my head on rare occasion to see what's up, and today is one of them. And to hear the woman responsible for that harassment STILL going after Vic is honestly sad and pathetic. Even IF KickVic happens to be right (and that's a big "IF"), I want to assure everyone I would happily admit I was wrong, but would very much like to have them explain why I should ever join them, why what I had been through was necessary and why I should ever call them anything else but outright bullies. If they were telling the truth (and I don't think they are), then I would hate KickVic so much more than Vic himself. Anyway, I said my piece, I stopped supporting him directly, but I wish him well all the same, would meet him at a con if I could to say "thank you".
I only found out about this case last year and I was so sad to hear about the horrible things being said about Vic. I stayed strong in the hopes that the courts would make the right decision but after hearing about… I am just left speechless. I wish that I give Vic a hug. He deserves better than what he’s been given.

The year when all this Vic slander happened was in 2019 and that was the year when The Rising of the Shield Hero anime came out and the plot of the anime involved the main character being falsely accused of sexual assault by the very person he trusted the first time they met. It's very coincidental that an anime with a plot was airing the same time Vic was being put under fire by slander.

I will still go to any local Con to meet this man. I've been falsely accused of the kind of things he has, and my innocence came out in the form of the accuser bragging about it once they got called out for it the next time they tried to get rid of another, so I can kinda relate to Vic's situation...and because of that, I will support him. Now more than ever all his fans need to...especially since I've already lost one childhood hero with JDF(RIP, Green/White Ranger...).

Why does it even matter? We don't know him and he doesn't know you, and they can always replace him with very little complaints after some time, which is exactly what happened. He got replaced, and people stopped caring.
Justice takes many forms, ladies & gentlemen.This might not be the outcome we were hoping for, but I can assure you that God isn't asleep at the wheel. He knows what's going on. Maybe He'll choose to dispense justice another way. Maybe AM studios will surpass Funimation. Maybe Vic's accusers will have shorter lines at conventions, and thus fewer invitations to attend them. Maybe they won't get parts they audition for. Maybe justice will even be something we as the public will never get to see, and therefore never know. I can't speak for sure on what God is planning, but I promise you, He's planning something. He knows Vic's heart, and He knows the truth. Justice will be done. God's will shall be done. This whole fiasco has tainted this man's acclaimed career. It's disgusting to see how his peers that he has worked with for decades completely turn their back on him just from seeing trending hashtags. Vic is such an incredible talent and is one of the most easily recognizable voices in vox work and dubbing. I just started watching the new Bleach TYBW and got really upset when Ikakku spoke, knowing that Vic wasn't able to get to reprise his role. I really hope karma comes back to these scummy trolls.
The judgement was that there was no defamation according to the idiot judge. The appeal was to reopen the case but it was denied. Vic could try to take it to the Supreme Court but it's likely not gonna be seen and it would cost more money. At this point, there's nothing else he can do.

As I was growing up, my mom made sure I was exposed to other cultures. In the course of that upbringing, I found that some cultures regularly kiss on the cheek as a form of greeting (regardless of the genders or ages involved) and this is just the way it is, others hug, some do both. None of it is with a sexual or inappropriate intent. Thus, when I hear someone say that someone kissed them on the cheek and they felt uncomfortable, or something, I have to step back and analyze it with "what cultures are they from?", "is there any evidence of inappropriate or sexual intent?" "were you uncomfortable because this form of greeting is unfamiliar or unusual to you, which is causing you to place a judgement of inappropriateness or sexuality on the interaction because you lack the exposure to conclude other interpretations?" As far as what Vic did or didn't do, and his intentions behind it, I am not going to hazard a guess. I'm not going to automatically preclude any options as possible until evidence is actually heard. But I do remember a time not that long ago where hugging for photographs and things was done without a second thought, even among members of the same sex. Nor am I going to take what was said about him as fact until it has the chance to be examined (as well as the character of the people saying it) because people WILL lie to get themselves attention and he is an actor so there is the potential of some kind of financial benefit to the accuser if the case is settled or found in their favor. If nothing else, they would get media attention and if the Kardashians can become celebrities off their father having defended OJ, then there is potential motive to make stuff up for personal gain. Regardless of Vic's guilt or innocence though, and I am speaking about "Cancel Culture" as a whole specifically, everyone (regardless of what they have said or done) has the right to make a living, a right to work, put food on their table, to earn income to pay their bills and not become a burden to society. To go after and "cancel" someone is to deny that person that right as it denies them a means to earn a living. As far as "cancelling" a movie, tv show, book, music, or some other piece of work, this is ALSO inexcusable because by doing so, you are affecting the intended target, but you are ALSO affecting the livelihood of EVERYONE ELSE who was involved in it from the writer, the mixer, director, producer, the other actors/musicians, etc. This is nothing less than a form of terrorism and is no different than setting off a bomb in a crowded public building to kill one person. The only difference is that "cancelling" only involves running your mouth behind a video camera or keyboard and the other requires a physical object. Both cancel culture and a terrorist bombing have very negative collateral damage to everyone else that is near the target. It is a form of bullying where you censure any opposition or challenge or information that contradicts your narrative and has no place in a society that "claims" to champion the right of free speech and expression, nor in a place where "liberty and justice" are supposedly held as a core value. If there is any truth to the claims being made, then bring forth your evidence and let the accused bring forth theirs and let it all be examined and burned in the crucible of fire to remove the dross and leave the purified truth of what actually occurred upon which to pass judgement. If Vic broke the law, then let it be settled in a criminal court. If he didn't, then leave him alone.

No subscription, no purchases, nothing... not even the Broly movie, which I absolutely loved. What nonsense. This wasn't a trial. The Texan courts have concluded that this was a SLAPP and overall weak case. It's fair game. In England and Wales, improvements are already underway to strengthen the jurisdiction's anti-SLAPP regime, because deficiencies that have been exploited have finally come to light. I'm from England, and most common-law jurisdictions are, on the whole, pretty damn fair when it comes to torts.
This doesn't mean I do not sympathise with Vic. There was no factual finding in favour of his accusers. This case simply couldn't go forward due to certain matters.
However, I will disagree with Vic on one point. I'd say the defendants did win aomething: attorneys' fees. Vic has been ordered by the courts to pay money to people he sued in this case. He has to literally pay hundreds of thousands in money to them due to the orders.

This dismissal was Bullshit and I still stand with Vic because he's right, nobody won a damn thing in this case. He didn't get his day in court, so it's not proven weither he was guilty or innocent, the appeals court just said that they agreed with Chupp that there wasn't enough evidence to continue the case. There were mistakes made by Rial, Toye, their team, etc etc., yes, but there were mistakes that were made by Vic and his team. It sucks that this didn't go to court like Johnny Depp's case, but this didn't prove that Vic did anything wrong; so don't let it get in your head to think that he did. I still believe that the accusations and allegations are all lies done by those in Funimation that wanted him out for whatever messed up reason they had. They succeed for a while, until more of the truth came out. Now they don't have as big of a fan base as they once did, and Funimation itself is basically dead as it got swallowed by Crunchyroll. Not quite the win we were hoping for, but not a big loss imo. Plus, now the anime community is in shambles from this, some saying that Vic is a monster and some saying he's an angel. I still stand with Vic in saying that he's just a human being, but that they're lying about a man for no reason for 3 years straight.

I've met Vic at three different conventions, in Tennessee 2006 and 2010, and in Hawaii 2012. In each of the latter two, he remembered me. When I met him for the second time in 2010, in Hawaii, he remembered that I was originally from Tennessee and we talked about his epic dodgeball game back in 2006, which i had attended and played in (though on the opposite team). When I met him for the third time in 2012, he remembered that I was military and that we'd met in Hawaii and that we'd had that conversation. He then handed me a copy of an album featuring a song about that game, and signed it. I still have it to this day. The man is a gem who absolutely loves his fans and I hope everything goes well for him.

I just can't picture anyone else voicing Bulma. I'm too used to hearing her voice Bulma. I've heard several actresses voice Bulma and none come close to sounding like Tiffany Vollmer. They all have annoying sounding voices but no one beats Monica Rial when it comes to annoying voices. She puts the I in insufferable.

I met Vic back in may of 2019 at Tupelo Con! Got to talk to him a couple of times. Had to have been one of the most kind hearted and humble people I’ve ever got to meet. He’s a true genuine man of God and I still support him to this day. Vic, I promise you God will bring you the victory! Maybe not in a way that we expect or would want, but it’ll be in a way where He makes a way! Where there seems to be no way!

Here is your 2024 reminder that Rial and her cronies fought tooth and nail to ensure that Vic and his legal team couldn't request for them to show the evidence that they claimed to have. Fully stopped the discovery phase because they knew that they didn't actually have the evidence they claimed to.
They felt threatened and angered by his popularity and his faith and did everything in their power to try to tear him down, and they succeeded. What did Vic do? He forgave them and prayed for them. After they ruined his life and took everything away from him based on malicious lies and slander. There was never any evidence. KickVic was a private movement with servers and groups where people made up and faked stories to bring forward, and they cheered when they succeeded.
Reminder that all Rial could do in response to negative backlash against her lies was threaten to take random Twitter users to court. What happened to Depp was a huge injustice. This is worse because there was never a single shred of evidence of even mutual toxicity, and Depp eventually won and cleared his name. Vic was completely denied the opportunity.
Vic has more class in his little finger than KV has in their entire bodies. With that said he may have lost the legal battle but, he won the war. These people sought to completely eliminate him from the English Anime dub scene and they could not get that job done. He has fans who love & support him, who will go to conventions to see him. He has partnered with Anime Matsuri to start a dubbing studio. Once they get some projects under their belts and conventions see how much more money they make with Vic than without you will see the fruits of Vic's and KV's labors.

So back in 2019, I had a nasty fight with my brother over this, and a certain somebody decided to take advantage of that and basically send harassment my way under my brothers name, escalating the feud we had. And it got so bad even Vic wrote to me and said that he would prefer that I myself stop supporting him in the interest in the harassment to stop and to make amends with my brother, which we eventually did despite our differences.
I have since moved on, only popping up my head on rare occasion to see what's up, and today is one of them. And to hear the woman responsible for that harassment STILL going after Vic is honestly sad and pathetic.
Even IF KickVic happens to be right (and that's a big "IF"), I want to assure everyone I would happily admit I was wrong, but would very much like to have them explain why I should ever join them, why what I had been through was necessary and why I should ever call them anything else but outright bullies. If they were telling the truth (and I don't think they are), then I would hate KickVic so much more than Vic himself.
Anyway, I said my piece, I stopped supporting him directly, but I wish him well all the same, would meet him at a con if I could to say "thank you".

Justice takes many forms, ladies & gentlemen.This might not be the outcome we were hoping for, but I can assure you that God isn't asleep at the wheel. He knows what's going on. Maybe He'll choose to dispense justice another way. Maybe AM studios will surpass Funimation. Maybe Vic's accusers will have shorter lines at conventions, and thus fewer invitations to attend them. Maybe they won't get parts they audition for. Maybe justice will even be something we as the public will never get to see, and therefore never know. I can't speak for sure on what God is planning, but I promise you, He's planning something. He knows Vic's heart, and He knows the truth. Justice will be done. God's will shall be done. This whole fiasco has tainted this man's acclaimed career. It's disgusting to see how his peers that he has worked with for decades completely turn their back on him just from seeing trending hashtags.
Vic is such an incredible talent and is one of the most easily recognizable voices in vox work and dubbing. I just started watching the new Bleach TYBW and got really upset when Ikakku spoke, knowing that Vic wasn't able to get to reprise his role.

What was the verdict for district court though… just because you won’t be heard in appeals court doesn’t mean there wasn’t a judgement
The judgement was that there was no defamation according to the idiot judge. The appeal was to reopen the case but it was denied. Vic could try to take it to the Supreme Court but it's likely not gonna be seen and it would cost more money. At this point, there's nothing else he can do.

As I was growing up, my mom made sure I was exposed to other cultures. In the course of that upbringing, I found that some cultures regularly kiss on the cheek as a form of greeting (regardless of the genders or ages involved) and this is just the way it is, others hug, some do both. None of it is with a sexual or inappropriate intent. Thus, when I hear someone say that someone kissed them on the cheek and they felt uncomfortable, or something, I have to step back and analyze it with "what cultures are they from?", "is there any evidence of inappropriate or sexual intent?" "were you uncomfortable because this form of greeting is unfamiliar or unusual to you, which is causing you to place a judgement of inappropriateness or sexuality on the interaction because you lack the exposure to conclude other interpretations?"
As far as what Vic did or didn't do, and his intentions behind it, I am not going to hazard a guess. I'm not going to automatically preclude any options as possible until evidence is actually heard. But I do remember a time not that long ago where hugging for photographs and things was done without a second thought, even among members of the same sex.
Nor am I going to take what was said about him as fact until it has the chance to be examined (as well as the character of the people saying it) because people WILL lie to get themselves attention and he is an actor so there is the potential of some kind of financial benefit to the accuser if the case is settled or found in their favor. If nothing else, they would get media attention and if the Kardashians can become celebrities off their father having defended OJ, then there is potential motive to make stuff up for personal gain.
Regardless of Vic's guilt or innocence though, and I am speaking about "Cancel Culture" as a whole specifically, everyone (regardless of what they have said or done) has the right to make a living, a right to work, put food on their table, to earn income to pay their bills and not become a burden to society. To go after and "cancel" someone is to deny that person that right as it denies them a means to earn a living.
As far as "cancelling" a movie, tv show, book, music, or some other piece of work, this is ALSO inexcusable because by doing so, you are affecting the intended target, but you are ALSO affecting the livelihood of EVERYONE ELSE who was involved in it from the writer, the mixer, director, producer, the other actors/musicians, etc. This is nothing less than a form of terrorism and is no different than setting off a bomb in a crowded public building to kill one person. The only difference is that "cancelling" only involves running your mouth behind a video camera or keyboard and the other requires a physical object.
Both cancel culture and a terrorist bombing have very negative collateral damage to everyone else that is near the target. It is a form of bullying where you censure any opposition or challenge or information that contradicts your narrative and has no place in a society that "claims" to champion the right of free speech and expression, nor in a place where "liberty and justice" are supposedly held as a core value.
If there is any truth to the claims being made, then bring forth your evidence and let the accused bring forth theirs and let it all be examined and burned in the crucible of fire to remove the dross and leave the purified truth of what actually occurred upon which to pass judgement.
If Vic broke the law, then let it be settled in a criminal court. If he didn't, then leave him alone.
