- So Rumours came out today about Sony potentially buying Cdprojekt red and Days gone 2 is potentially in development...
Safe to say PlayStation is a bit of mess in the consumer sphere after that PlayStation showcase but the future looks weird...
These are my thoughts on these rumours and this is todays gaming news.

Days Gone 2 would be a dream come true. The first one had such a good concept and foundation that part 2 can improve upon: more and bigger cities, more vehicle customization, more character outfits, guns and enemy types etc.
CDPR took a strong stance that their games wouldn't become exclusive to the Epic Playstore back when many games where doing that, they even stated that doing so was an anti-consumer practice, so I find it hard to believe that they would allow their games to be exclusive to a single console.
Considering that Sony is *the only platform* that took Cyberpunk out of their digital store when it was unplayable i would say that they're the perfect remedy for CDPR's carelessness with polish in their games
I actually agree completely on that point, sony showed that there is a limit on how a game can launch terribly on their consoles.
They should of taken it down sooner but if either way they did the right thing.
Question is would they have done that after investing a ton of money into the studio?
@@JacksGameReviews probably not but there is a different awnser to that question has Sony ever released a title with as much lack of polish as CDPR's Cyberpunk? i don't think they will let that happen
but im also not sticking my neck out for devs things could change it the future they're not our friends they make game and we consume them that's as far as customer client relationships go
People can say what they want about Sony and their movie like take on games, but we can't deny most of their games are polished ridiculously well. Even their less interesting games like Days Gone or TLOU are super well made
@@Force-Multiplier To be fair, not many have released a title as unpolished as Cyberpunk, but Sony did release No Mans Sky (although they only published it), it's launch may have been even worse than Cyberpunk. Though I would imagine they learned their lesson and at least pay more attention to their in-house games.

Days Gone 2 should be greenlit by Sony they might understand it sooner or later but still I would not like Sony buying CDPR. Let them be independent.

If this is true... than sadly CDPR will become one of those companies who make games for 1 platform only...
That is one of my concerns. Apart of me kind of wants it to happen so they can stop cd from releasing games like cyberpunk in a terrible state but at the same time Sony could get too much control and destroy the whole studio. Cd seem like they really rely on creativity and passion for what they want to make so if Sony force them to make stuff they don’t like I fully expect a lot of quitters or lay offs :/
If Sony want to try and compete with Xbox for spending money for studios they will lose

Eh, I'm not buying either of these rumors. Days Gone was great tho. Better than TLOU2. Would love to see a sequel

I love Day Gone even on my base Ps4 just give to a reliable studio to do the sequel..who doesn't want more money Playstation ?
I don't believe Sony will outright buy CD Projekt Red but they may buy shares in the company like they did with Fromsoftware.

Very true but I really do think if Microsoft FINALLY got there shit together they could take over Sony in the console market. That’s why people get so frustrated I think

Getting rid of the original director and replacing with woke abortion could be a problem. Kinda like AMC replacing Frank Darabont for Walking Dead S3+. All the Brainiacs said Darabont complained too much..
After all the pushback against Microsoft during the Activision merger buying a studio themselves would look hypocritical. Unless the merger goes through Sony's hands are tied 🤔

I mean true but if Sony decide that they desperately want cd i can see them pooling enough money together with one big investment over the next few years while their other studios work on other ip's

If the ports are true, they’re going to have 20% more than what they started at a few years ago, so about $28 billion to spend next year.

It's a new idea i am testing for the channel, at the same time i do think there is a element of truth to these rumours specially days gone 2.
Totally understand if it's not your thing Ian, just a test to see how everyone feels about this kind of content while i work on reviews :)

It really depends on how expensive it is, i can see it being exclusive unfortunately but at the same time it seems dumb buying them right as the activision blizzard thing is being finalised with xbox

Cdor work with xbox over sony . 000000.1% chance sony will ever buy them . sony will retaliate for blizzard but.more likley is sega or konami or caocom who sony have relationships with allready . i have seen rumours of 2k games but that would be to expensive even more so than blizzard deal imo . truth is sony do not listen to us and will do what ever they please probably just buy another anime studio useless really
Your take on Sony potentially buying CDPR is laughable. There are plenty of single player only games on PS5. Moreover, it makes perfect sense for Sony to buy CDPR if, for no other fucking reason, than to combat Xbox trying to buy every goddamn multiplatform studio under the sun…

Days gone was one of those games that was great on PC but sucked on PS4. Shooting and game play is considerably improved for the PC port. Also this is a mouse and keyboard game without aim assist.
