  • This is a tutorial on how I do my daughter's two strand twists. It can be the perfect protective style, or even a prep style for a beautiful twist out (video coming soon). Either way, I hope you enjoy this video!

    So very age appropriate; I’m tired of seeing little ones with synthetic box braids, twists & cornrows with all that tension. Thanks for sharing. You have a beautiful daughter & I appreciate how u got straight to the point.

      You're so welcome! Thanks for watching! And I totally agree..I love age appropriate styles for little girls. I just think people should let them be little for as long as they could. :)

      Thanks Shrunda! I actually posted another video of how I twist her hair so that it doesn't come a loose so fast. I had the same issue. Check out my video called "UPDATED Two Strand Twist..". :)

    This is perfect. My daughter’s hair is the same length. I want to keep her hair in twist for a year so her hair can grow long. What other products do you recommend?

    • @Janiqueness
      @Janiqueness  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Ebony! Honestly, I mainly use my natural hair product line (which I'm working on releasing). But alternative products that I think you'd like are the Camille Rose Almond Jai Twisting butter, and the As I Am Twisting Cream. Let me know how you like those products on your Princess's hair. :)

      Ebony Mullins It’s sold in Target, Walmart, Amazon and Sally’s Beauty. :)

    After I’m done doing the twists on my daughters hair, some of them stick straight up. How do i prevent that ?

    • @Janiqueness
      @Janiqueness  4 роки тому +4

      Hi Tisha! My daughter's hair started to do that as well. I either started each twist by twisting to the scalp (most effective method), or I'd just tie it down at night with her scarf (but it usually comes off). I can do a tutorial on how to keep the twist from sticking up. I think I've finally mastered it over the last few months lol. :)

      Are you standing over her while twisting- hence the direction they lay down (or stick up)

  • @shazb5211

    Hi, do you moisture her hair with the twists in? If so how do you do it?
    I'm currently using the curlaide moisture butter, is it worth getting the almond jai or the curlaide is just as good?
    Thank you

    • @Janiqueness
      @Janiqueness  4 роки тому +2

      Hi! Yes I do, I use the Sweet Magnolia Moisturizing Mist by Krewe Natural and then I seal the moisture with a light oil. And I do that maybe every 2 days because the moisture really locks in. :)

    • @Janiqueness
      @Janiqueness  4 роки тому +1

      Also, I'd say try the curlaide out because I used it a few times and it was just as good.

    How do you stop the ends from unraveling..?

    • @Janiqueness
      @Janiqueness  Рік тому

      I'd keep twisting until the very end, then I'll take a tiny amount of gel or hair cream and twist/finger coil the ends together. Usually it doesn't unravel when I do that. :)

      Yes! Girl when I recorded this, that was like my 20th attempt. LOL. It used to take me around the same amount of time so don't even worry about it. :)

  • @StopSelfDoubting

    Also too, how long do you keep her twists in?

    • @Janiqueness
      @Janiqueness  5 років тому

      I'd typically leave it in about 2-3 days..3-4 days if I use my products. :)
