Join the community newsletter: eepurl.com/h9JSIf | #justiciaporleandrolo In November of 2015 Leandro Lo travelled to Porto Alegre to consult with a nutritionist, while in town he dropped into the gym belonging to noted trainer and former champion Mario Reis. Back in 2015 Leandro was still competing as a middleweight and the difference in his game is noticeable compared to when he went up in weight in the later stage of his career.
Leandro Lo was a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who was widely considered one of the best competitors of his generation.
Born on May 11, 1989 in São Paulo he was a black belt under Cicero Costha and won numerous prestigious titles throughout his career, including the IBJJF World Championships, Pan American Championships, European Championships, Brazilian Championships and the Abu Dhabi World Pro.
Lo was known for his aggressive and dynamic style of grappling, which made him a fan favorite and a dominant force on the competition scene. He also gained a reputation for his sportsmanship and humility, making him a role model for many aspiring jiu-jitsu practitioners. He was one of the few people to hold a win over Gordon Ryan at black belt, beating the no-gi great on points in 2017.
Lo began his career training with PSLPB Cicero Costha before founding his own team, NS Brotherhood. He would also represent his friend Murilo Santana's team, Unity Jiu Jitsu, at the international level.
He died on August 7, 2022 after being shot in the head by an off-duty military policeman in São Paulo, Brazil. As yet, his killer has not been brought to justice.

The blue belt he fought at the beginning of the video was super impressive
All of them very high level of training
His name is Fabio Alano aka "Kamikase" and it's not surprising he is a black belt now, he competed for a long time and won a world title as a blue and purple belt.

The way that brown belt was getting stacked by Lo... jesus christ. It just reminds me that these full timers on a whole other level. I got stacked like that and it cranked my spine something awful, and had to take two weeks off.
